DogWatch®offers you great flexibility. Not only can you
contain your dog in your yard, you can also keep him out of your garden or
swimming pool. DogWatch can also be attached to an existing fence to keep your
pet from jumping over or digging under it.
We also have indoor systems that work throughout your home. Keep your dog off
couches and countertops, out of doorways and rooms — you name it. Ask your
DogWatch Dealer for a solution to your indoor needs.
To assure that your DogWatch Hidden Fence ystem works properly, please follow
the training procedures outlined in this manual. Any shortcuts may affect the
performance of the system and could be unsafe to your pet.

Never adjust the transmitter while your dog is wearing the receiver collar.
1. Power On/Off: This switch gives you easy access to turn the transmitter on or off.
The re Power light on the front panel lets you know that it is operating.
2. Power Supply: The transmitter is powere through a power supply that is plugge
into a properly groun e 110 volt outlet. The a apter is plugge into the transmitter
jack labele “PWR.”
3. PowerPak™: Optional battery back-up system keeps the transmitter operating in
the event of a power failure. When transmitter is being powere by battery back-up,
the re power light will remain off. PowerPak plugs into the transmitter at “P-PAK”.
4. Ground Wire: The green groun wire is plugge into the transmitter at the location
labele “GND.” The roun connector on the green groun wire is attache un er
the screw on the outlet faceplate. It will, however, only be effective if your outlet is
properly groun e . If you have any questions about having a properly groun e
outlet, consult your local electrician.
5. Loop Plug: Your system comes with zip cor with a plug on one en . This plug fits
into the hole marke “Loop” on the bottom of the transmitter. This is the beginning
of the boun ary wire. Once your boun ary wire has been properly installe an
plugge into the transmitter, the green Loop in icator light will turn on. If the

The transmitter sends a coded digital FM radio signal through the boundary wire. This
signal can be adjusted, allowing you to control the “hidden fence” around your property.
It operates on a standard 110 volt outlet.

Adjustable Collar: Your receiver comes fitte to an a justable nylon collar. The
collar shoul be positione above the og’s regular collar. The collar shoul be
a juste to insure that the contact posts touch the skin on the og’s neck. Check the
fit for the first few ays of wear to insure that the collar is not too tight or causing
irritation to your pet’s neck.
DogWatch recommends that you remove the collar at night while your pet is inside.
SafeLink®Digital FM Design: Our patente FM esign allows the DogWatch
receiver to recognize an activate only to our unique ra io signal. This protects your
pet from unintentional correction cause by stray ra io signals which may be emitte
by other electronic evices.
AutoMemory™:Our patente AutoMemory feature automatically a justs the
correction level of the receiver when your pet challenges the boun ary. When the
receiver is set to one of the AutoMemory levels, an the og enters the signal fiel ,
the og will receive the correction of the initial setting. If your og leaves the signal
fiel , the receiver will automatically a vance the correction level setting by one, an
only one level. If the og oes not re-enter the signal fiel within the next 24-hour
perio , the receiver efaults to the original setting. The AutoMemory feature operates
when your Receiver Training Level is set to 4, 5, or 6.
FastReact™ Time: The DogWatch receiver offers the fastest reaction time available
in the pet containment in ustry. Whether your og, strolls, runs or sprints into the
Avoi ance Zone, the receiver will react — an correct — within 1/8 of a secon (.125).
Automatic Shutdown: The DogWatch system is esigne to protect your og from
an over-correction in the unlikely event that your og gets caught in the signal fiel . If
your og oes not exit the signal fiel , the receiver will automatically stop correcting
after 15 secon s — protecting your og from over-correction. The receiver will
automatically reset once the og leaves the signal fiel .
CollarBone: The CollarBone, metal lock washers an contact posts fasten the
receiver to the nylon collar. The plastic “collar bone” is esigne to fit two collar

6. Loop Monitor Display (LMD): The Loop Monitor Display provi es a visual
in ication of the status of your boun ary signal. On tra itional boun ary wire
configurations each number on the scale represents the boun ary signal istance
in feet, that is being broa cast from each si e of the wire. A significant change
( rop) in signal range coul in icate a partial wire break or other boun ary wire
problem. Contact your ealer for troubleshooting tips or to sche ule an
appointment.
Note: For non-tra itional wire configurations where the boun ary wires may be
close to one another, the LMD may not measure the boun ary signal accurately in
feet, but is a visual setting reference point. Your DogWatch ealer will explain the
LMD setting an your actual signal range.
7. Range: The ra io signal is transmitte from the boun ary wire in all irections. The
signal is a juste by the range control on the transmitter to create a signal fiel on
each si e of the wire. The recommen e signal fiel wi th is 6-10 feet. Your
DogWatch Dealer will a just the ra io signal istance accor ing to the personality
an traits of your og. Consult your DogWatch Dealer first before making any
a justments yourself.
Signal Field: The signal fiel has two areas. When your og first enters the signal
fiel , he will receive an au ible warning. If he continues further into the signal fiel ,
he will receive a correction. The au ible area is approximately the first 13% of the
total signal fiel . To prevent your og from entering the signal fiel an remaining in
the au ible area causing epletion of the battery, the receiver will transition from an
au ible warning to a short warning correction after a perio of 15 secon s. This will
activate regar less of the mo e switch setting, but will not activate if the receiver is
in the “Au ible Only” Training Level (see Phase 1: page 15)
. Training Mode: The training mo e switch allows you to choose between two pet
frien ly training options: Basic (Mo e A) an QuickAlertTM (Mo e B). When in the
Basic setting, your pet will receive an au ible warning followe by a correction. For
har er to train ogs, when set to QuickAlert, your pet will receive a very quick
“alert” correction followe by the normal au ible warning an correction.
If you have multiple ogs on the system, when you set the training mo e on the
transmitter, it will effect all receivers.
9. Rate: This a justs to three levels (1 = slow, 2 = me ium, 3 = fast). When your og
gets a correction, he receives it in a series of pulses. Increasing the Rate means
that he will receive a greater number of pulses per secon . The Rate feature
operates when your Receiver Training Level is set to Level 1, 2, or 3.

Note: On the back of the transmitter are four small switches. These switches
set your transmitter to the correct broa cast frequency. Your ealer will set
these switches for your system.

The lightweight radio receiver worn by the dog identifies the coded FM radio signal from
the boundary wire. It creates an audible warning followed by stimulation if he comes too
close to the boundary wire. It operates on a replaceable battery and is waterproof when
the battery cap is securely fastened.

thicknesses. For single-ply collars, mount the recesse holes of the CollarBone
against the collar strap an for ouble-ply collars, place the flat si e of the
CollarBone against the collar strap. See the illustration on page 5.
Contact Posts: The receiver comes with a set of contact posts. Your DogWatch
Dealer will etermine the correct set base on your og’s neck shape, coat, an skin
sensitivity. The posts must make contact with the skin in or er for the og to feel the
correction. In certain cases, your ealer may recommen clipping some of the hair
aroun the contact posts so that they can touch the skin more easily. Use care if you
fin it necessary to tighten the contact posts with the collar wrench, as over-
tightening coul cause amage to the receiver.
Antenna: The receiver’s omni- irectional antenna esign assures optimal reception
from the signal fiel .
Test Light: The test light allows you to test the receiver.
Hol the test light over the contact posts as shown in
Figure 3 an carry the receiver into the signal fiel a few
feet from the groun . When the receiver picks up the
signal from the boun ary wire, the au ible warning will
soun an the test light will come on when you enter the
correction zone.
Status Light The light continuously monitors your receiver
an provi es these features.
■Start-Up When you first insert the battery into your receiver, the status light will
flash re an green. This in icates that the receiver has starte properly. Once
starte , the status light will continue to flash green once every 30 secon s
in icating normal operation. In the event that the light oes not flash, check the
battery to be sure that it has been inserte properly.
(see Page 4).
■Training Level Indicator When programming the
training level of your receiver, the status light will flash
green in conjunction with au ible beeps. The number
of flashes will equal the training level you have chosen.
■Signal Field Indicator When testing the receiver in
the signal fiel the status light will flash green when the
receiver is in the au ible zone an will flash green an
re when the receiver is in the correction zone.
■Correction Alert You will be able to tell if your pet
has teste the boun ary by looking at the status light.
The status light will ouble flash green every 30
secon s uring the 24-hour perio after the og has
entere the boun ary area.
■Battery Indicator This feature monitors the voltage
level of the battery. Once the receiver etects that the
battery has reache a low voltage level, the status light
will change from the normal blinking “green” every 30
secon s to blinking “re ” every 10 secon s. This
in icates that your battery is close to the en of its useful life an you shoul
change the battery within the next 3-4 ays.
See page 7 for how to change your battery and reset your receiver.

Battery Insertion Instructions
R7 Battery: The R7 receiver is powere by a 3 volt (1/3 N) lithium battery. The
receiver is esigne for a battery life of up to 6 months. The negative (-) en of the
battery must be inserte own. (Figure 4)
R Battery: The R8 battery is powere by a 3.6 volt lithium battery. The receiver is
esigne for a battery life of up to two years. The positive (+) en of the battery must
be inserte own. (Figure 5)
Battery Plans
Ask your DogWatch Dealer about a battery plan. If your DogWatch Dealer oes not
offer a battery plan, you can join the DogWatch Battery Program, where a new battery
is maile to you every 6 or 24 months, epen ing on the type of receiver you own.

Resetting the Battery Indicator on your Receiver
1. Remove the ol battery.
2. Using your test light, hol the magnet in the programming position without the
battery in the receiver (see Figures 1 and 2) for five secon s to fully ischarge the
unit. If you have misplace the test light, let the receiver sit for five minutes without
a battery before inserting a new battery.
3. Insert a new battery. The Battery Remin er feature is now automatically reset.
If you forget to discharge your receiver prior to inserting a new battery the Battery
Indicator Feature will automatically reset within the next 24 hours.

IMPORTANT: The use of any battery other than a battery authorized by DogWatch Inc. can
cause erratic operation of the Receiver or could cause permanent damage. The use of any
unauthorized battery will void the warranty on the receiver.

Handy Programming Tips
Recommended Settings: The majority of ogs respon well to transmitter Rate
Setting 2 or 3 an a receiver Training Level 3, 4 or 5. Sensitive or small ogs that train
easily respon best to lower rate settings an lower training levels. If your og is not
respon ing to training, your DogWatch Dealer will a just your system to a higher
training level.
If Your Dog Is Hard To Train: Training Levels 5, 6 an 7 of your receivers are
specifically esigne to meet the nee s of har to train or stubborn ogs. These
setting will provi e the extra correction that some ogs nee as part of their training.
Multiple Dogs: Our receivers allow you to select Au ible Only as your Training Level
setting on each in ivi ual receiver — allowing you to con uct training with one og
while the other is still protecte with the correction feature enable . It is recommen e
that the Au ible Only setting be use only uring supervise training sessions.

SETTING THE TRANSMITTER
Rates The Transmitter Rate switch a justs to three settings: (1 = slow, 2 = me ium,
3 = fast). When your og gets a correction, he receives it in a series of pulses per
secon . Increasing the rate means that he will receive a greater number of pulses per
secon . Rate 1 is the slowest pulse rate per secon ; 3 is the fastest.
Training Modes The Training Mo e switch allows you to choose between two
training options: Basic (Mo e A) an QuickAlertTM (Mo e B). When in the Basic setting
your pet will receive an au ible warning followe by a correction. For har er to train
ogs, when set to the QuickAlert mo e, your pet will receive a very quick “alert”
correction followe by the normal au ible warning an correction.
SETTING THE RECEIVER
Receiver Training Levels Your receiver provi es eight training levels that allow you
to customize the training setting to your og’s in ivi ual nee s: Au ible Only, Level 1
(extra low), Level 2 (low), Level 3 (low me ium), Level 4 (me ium), Level 5 (me ium
high), Level 6 (high), an Level 7 (extra high). When the receiver is first shippe from
the manufacturer, it will automatically be set to Training Level 2 (low).
Changing the Receiver Settings Your Dogwatch Dealer will start the training on
the appropriate level accor ing to your og’s personality an traits. If you nee to
change the Training Level on the receiver, hol your test light magnet to the two
raise lines on the si e of the receiver (see Figures 1 and 2). Hol the magnet stea y
an you will hear a series of beeps that in icate the current training level. The
“Au ible Only” level is one long beep, Level 1 is one short beep, Level 2 is two short
beeps, Level 3 is three short beeps, etc. The Training Level will continue to a vance
while the magnet is hel in position. When you reach the esire setting, pull the
magnet away from the receiver. The receiver is now set.
Note: Any time the magnet activates the receiver, the number of beeps will indicate
the current receiver level. As long as the magnet is held in place, it will advance the
receiver to the next training level and continue to cycle through the settings in the
order shown in the chart on Page 9.

For example: If the receiver is on Level 1 and the transmitter is on Rate 1, your dog will receive the
lowest level of correction and the least number of pulses per second.
Please remember that if your Receiver Level is set to 1, 2, or 3 and you switch the Training Mode to
QuickAlert (Mode B), your training setting may change. For example, if the receiver is set to Level 3 and
the transmitter is set to Rate 1, your dog will receive a slow correction. If you switch your Training Mode
to QuickAlert, your dog will now receive a fast correction.

Boundary Wire: The boun ary wire carries the co e FM ra io signal aroun the
perimeter of your property. It is rate for un ergroun burial.
Signal Fiel : The ra io signal is transmitte from the boun ary wire in all irections. It
can be use to keep ogs in or out of an area. The signal is a juste by the Range
control on the Transmitter to create a signal fiel on each si e of the wire. Your Dealer
has installe the wire to the recommen e wi th of 8-10 feet an has carefully
configure the corners to avoi sharp angles.
Continuous Loop: In or er for the system to work properly, the boun ary wire must
form a continuous loop. Any break in the wire will cancel the signal fiel . If the
boun ary wire is broken or unplugge , the green Loop Monitor Display (LMD) light
will go out an an au ible warning will soun . Most breaks are cause by lawn/gar en
equipment. If you cannot visibly locate the break, contact your Authorize Dealer for
service.
Surge Protector: For maximum protection against power surges, DogWatch offers
both internal an external surge protection. It is important that the surge protector
be properly grounded. This part of the system protects the transmitter from amage
ue to lightning power surges. Your Dealer has attache it to the existing electrical
source house groun or a groun ing ro an then connecte it to the twiste wire
between the transmitter an the boun ary wire.
After a lightning storm, check to be sure your transmitter is working properly.
Do not let your dog outside until you know the system is operating.

How the DogWatch System Works
The boundary wire creates the perimeter for the DogWatch Hidden Fence ystem, and can
enclose any area up to 200 acres. It is buried at least 3 – 4” beneath the surface of the yard
or can lie on top of the ground (e.g.: in wooded or rocky areas). It can also be installed
around gardens or swimming pools, or attached to an existing fence to prevent your dog
from digging under or jumping over it.

Your Dog’s Response To Stimulation
Stimulation has been a safe an effective part of og training for over twenty years.
All ogs respon ifferently when they feel a mil stimulation. Some ogs may
emonstrate little, if any, reaction, while others may yelp or jump back. Some ogs
“freeze”. Do not try to comfort the og if he receives correction or it will reinforce his
anxiety.
Dog Personalities and Traits
Keep in min that a og’s personality an traits iffer among bree s. Dogs may not
exhibit the same personalities an traits within the same bree .
Your DogWatch ealer will ask you questions about your og before training begins.
A shy or senior og may require longer Phase 1 sessions, while a gregarious or
easily istract og may require a short Phase 1, but longer Phase 2 or 3 sessions.
The better you know your og, the easier the training will be for both of you!
Creating The Right Environment
Attitu e an Consistency is Important!
1. Keep the training “light”. Use lots of praise. Keep the og’s spirits high.
2. Use high happy tones for praise. Use low tones for negative comman s.
3. Move aroun the boun ary in the same irection.
4. Reinforce the boun ary with comman s. Use the comman s “Watch Out!” or
“Careful” as you slap or shake the flags.
5. Limit the training session to no more than 20 minutes.Keep training consistent.
6. Keep your og on the lea in the yar for five ays.
7. If you are training more than one og, train each og separately.
8. Use naturally occurring istractions such as a neighbor or chil ren.
9. Contact your DogWatch Dealer if you have any questions.

Proper training is essential for successful containment. If you have any questions
about the training phases, especially uring the first few weeks, or if you have
questions about your og’s behavior uring his training sessions, please contact your
DogWatch ealer.

Important Reminders Containment Training
This section covers the phases necessary to teach your dog to remain within the
designated boundary of your property by teaching you how to teach your dog, so it is
important that you understand each phase completely.

Containment Training Reminders
Purpose: To teach your dog where the boundary
is and how to react to it.
1. Only a portion of the yar , the Avoi ance Zone,

2. Playtime is very important! Remember to
reinforce the Safety Zone an play with your
og before, uring, an after each training
sessions. (Figure 11)

PHASE 1 (1-2 days)
Audi le or “Beep” Training
During this phase, your DogWatch Dealer has turne off the Mo e switch on the
transmitter an correction rate on the receiver. Your og will hear only an au ible
“beep” tone an will not receive a correction uring this phase.
1. Put the receiver collar on your og 20 minutes before training. Your og’s regular
collar shoul be positione below the DogWatch collar.
2. Clip the green DogWatch training lea on his regular collar.
3. Take your og outsi e an play with him in the Safety Zone for a few minutes.
4. Walk your og aroun the perimeter of your yar , keeping insi e the Safety Zone
an away (about 3 to 4 feet) from the training flags.
5. When you finish the walk, approach a training flag. Hol the og by the leash in
one han an slap or shake a flag with the other,warning the og firmly (in a low
stern voice) “Watch out! or “Careful!” (Figure 12.) You can also use a frien or
family member to sit in the Avoi ance Zone to slap or wave the flag as you
approach the flags.
6. Give a leash (tug) correction, an quickly retreat into the Safety Zone. This creates
a sense of urgency to the retreat. It is not a casual turn. Remember to use of lot of
“Goo og!” praise after you’ve retreate into the Safety Zone.
7. Now walk your og aroun the property allowing him to enter the Avoi ance Zone
between the two flags.

How The DogWatch Hidden Fence Works
Think of the property having two istinct zones:
1. SAFETY ZONE: This is the area where the og is free to play (Figure 8).
2. AVOIDANCE ZONE: This is the signal fiel create by the boun ary wire. When
your og crosses the signal fiel , the receiver collar emits an au ible warning
followe by a correction. When containment training is complete, your og will remain
in the Safety Zone.
Adjusting the Receiver Collar
Your DogWatch Dealer has installe your DogWatch Hi en Fence System, set the
transmitter an receiver to the training levels appropriate for your og’s personality
an traits, an has place boun ary flags aroun the perimeter of your yar . Your
Dealer has alrea y begun your og’s first ay of containment training. Now it is your
turn to continue the training.
Before you begin containment training with your dog, be sure to place the DogWatch
receiver collar on your dog’s nec before you go outside.
1. The collar shoul be worn snugly on the og’s neck. This is extremely important!
2. Place no more than one thumb wi th between the contact post an og’s neck.
3. When checking snugness of collar, the og’s
neck shoul be facing own (sniffing position)
as this is where the og’s neck is the smallest.
(Figure 9).
4. If the collar is too tight, the receiver unit will
stick out to the si e when the og shakes his
hea .
5. If the collar is too loose, the og will not receive
the inten e correction when he or she
wan ers into the Avoi ance Zone. (Figure 10.)
6. Remember to perio ically check for irritation
aroun the og’s neck.
7. DogWatch strongly recommen s that the
collar be remove aily an when the og is
insi e the house.

PHASE 3 (2-5 days)
Introduction to Distractions
1. Put the receiver collar on your og at least 20 minutes before going outsi e.
2. Clip on the green DogWatch training lea an take your og outsi e an play a few
minutes in the Safety Zone.
3. Walk aroun the Safety Zone an have an assistant (frien or family member)
appear outsi e the Safety Zone at least 10 to 15 feet back from the flags. Walk
past your assistant without speaking, but remain in the Safety Zone.(Figure 14.)
4. If your og approaches your assistant an enters the Avoi ance Zone, allow your
og to receive a correction. Yell, “Watch out!” an tug him back into the Safety Zone.
5. Let your assistant leave, walk your og
aroun the perimeter again, an let your
assistant appear again. Your assistant can
call out the og’s name, but o not allow
your assistant to ask the og to “Come”.
6. If your og attempts to go over to your
assistant, reinforce the flags an yell,
“Watch out!” Repeat the exercise for no
more than a total of 20 minutes.
7. If your og makes no attempt to go over to
your assistant, reinforce the flags, en the
exercise an praise your og in the Safety
Zone.
8. Repeat the exercise for 2 to 5 ays. Then
move to Phase 4.
PHASE 4 (2-5 days)
Introduction to Increased Distractions
1. Put the DogWatch receiver collar on your
og at least 20 minutes before going
outsi e to train.
2. Clip on the green DogWatch training lea to
your og’s regular collar an take him
outsi e. Play a few minutes in the Safety
Zone.
3. Reinforce the flags.
4. Intro uce “real life” istractions to your og.
Have a frien rop by or start training when
the letter carrier or school bus is sche ule .
Take extra care if you use a vehicle as a
istraction. (Figure 15.)
5. Keep the og on leash when you first intro-
uce the istraction. If your og attempts to

Zone for a few minutes. Take your og insi e
an remove the DogWatch receiver collar after
about 20 minutes. Train your og in this
manner for a least two ays before moving
on to Phase 2.
PHASE 2 (2-5 days)
Introduction to Correction
1. Put the DogWatch receiver collar on your
og at least 20 minutes before going
outsi e to train.
2. Clip on the green DogWatch training lea
an take your og outsi e an play a few
minutes in the Safety Zone.
3. Walk aroun the complete perimeter, remaining insi e the Safety Zone. Pause a
few times along the way to slap a flag an yell, “Watch out!” or “Careful!”
4. Your ealer has set the receiver to the training level appropriate for your og an
has helpe you intro uce your og to correction. Phase Two will help reinforce
your og’s new boun ary an the consequences if he crosses the training flags.
Select a new location to teach your og to ay. Allow your og to walk into the
Avoi ance Zone while saying the negative comman . When your og retreats out
of the Avoi ance Zone after he hears the warning “beep”, praise him for a few
minutes in the Safety Zone. Select another location an repeat the exercise.
If your og oes not react to the correction, first check to be sure the contact posts
are touching the og’s skin. If your og still oes not respon to the correction, con
tact your ealer.
Remember: Keep the training sessions to no longer than 20 minutes, once or twice a day.
5. After training, praise your og an play with him in the Safety Zone for a few
minutes, bring your og into the house an remove the DogWatch collar after
about 20 minutes.
Note: It is important not to remove the receiver collar imme iately following the
training as you o not want your og to associate the receiver collar with the
correction.

Training Tips
1. Never call your og to “come” or give a recall comman when you are outsi e the
flag line.
2. Never walk your og through the flags uring the training process.
3. Always reinforce the retreat concept by shaking the flag while saying “Watch out!”
an comman ing “back-back-back” when your og receives an au ible warning
or a correction uring the training process.
4. A just the receiver collar, test the battery regularly, keep the contact posts clean.
5. After the training perio , your og may wear the receiver collar uring the ay, but
remove it at night. Check your og’s neck area an make sure there is no irritation.
6. Keep the training consistent: 15 to 20 minutes once or twice a ay.
7. NEVER throw a stick or toy into the Avoi ance Zone.
8. ALWAYS maintain a positive attitu e when training your og.
run past the flags an receives a correction, he shoul retreat to the Safety Zone.
Praise an play with your og.
6. If your og retreats to the Safety Zone, rop the leash (but keep it within reach) an
reintro uce the istraction. Praise an play.
7. If your og is afrai to move, tug him back into the Safety Zone. Continue to train
with istractions for 2 to 5 ays.
Remember: Play an praise at the en of each training session.
PHASE 5 (2-5 days)
Letting Your Dog Off The Leash
1. Put the DogWatch receiver collar on your og at least 20 minutes before going
outsi e to train.
2. Clip on the green DogWatch training lea to your og’s regular collar an take him
outsi e an play a few minutes in the Safety Zone. Remove the training leash an
let him run freely in the yar . Shake the flags to reinforce where his boun ary is.
3. Important: Your og will expan his comfort level over a perio of time. Your og
shoul remain about 6 feet away from the flags when he is first let off the leash.
Gra ually your og’s safety zone will increase to his in ivi ual level of comfort.
Remove the flags, every other one, every other ay.
What To Expect Off Leash
1. Your og will run towar the flags, see them an stop.
2. Your og will run into the system, hear the “beep” warning an retreat.
3. Your og will run into the system, hear the “beep” warning, receive a correction,
an retreat.
4. In rare cases, your og will run through the boun ary.
- Retrieve the og. Take off the receiver collar an walk him back into the yar .
- Bring the og into the house an call your DogWatch Dealer. A itional flag
training or an increase in correction level is necessary. Your DogWatch Dealer will
instruct you over the phone or meet with you an your og for a itional training.
Important: Do not punish the og verbally for making errors. He’s still learning!
PHASE 6 (2-5 days)
Taking Your Dog Outside The Boundary
Your ealer will recommen when it is time to take your og across the boun ary for a
walk. It is important to be consistent when taking your og for a walk. Be sure to use
your og’s regular collar an leash an go to an from your walk using the same “exit”
area. You can also pick up a small og an carry him over the flagge boun ary
uring the first weeks of training.
