DST8000 and DST8000 Pro
Unpacking and Assembly Instructions
General Instructions:
1. Colors, details, and accessories may differ as per your model.
2. Relevant fasteners for each step are attached in small plastic bags near their place of
assembly.
3. All needed tools are attached.
4. Keep packing materials, tools, and instructions if repackaging of the DST is an option.
5. Tighten firmly all bolts and nuts as shown.
6. Most assembly instructions must be performed on both sides of the device (drawings
shows one side).
7. The DST8000 requires one grounded socket. the DST8000 Pro requires two grounded
sockets.
8. After assembly, read the User Guide.

Where to locate your DST?
1. Make sure that the ceiling height is at least 2.6 meter.
2. Both sides of the DST must be spacious enough to allow the physiotherapists to move freely around the device to
adjust the handrails. A clearance of 50 cm is recommended at both sides of the DST.
3. Make sure that there a are no windows near the DST in a way that an opened window will interfere with the vertical
movement of the DST
4. To avoid water splash on the device, make sure that there is no source of water, such as a sink, near the DST.
5. Make sure that no objects or other equipment is touching the DST or too close to it, such as beds and other equipment.
6. Make sure that no objects, like physiotherapy resistance band (Therabands) are tied to the DST.

A-1 Take off the crate’s cover.
Place the cover near the crate. It will be used as a ramp to unload the DST.

Take off the crate’s walls, and remove the plastic wrap.
Note: do not use utility knife, as it might damage the device.

Lift the device on its wheels
1. There are wheels on both sides of the device
3. Insert the handle at the appropriate lever and turn it.
Note: Repeat on both sides of the device.
2. Take out the lifting handle from the ramp.

A-4 Place the crate’s cover as shown, and carefully pull the device down to the floor

Locate the device in its final location and retract its wheels.

Section B is applicable only for the DST8000 Pro (computerized)
B-1 Cut the plastic zip-tie and raise the compu ter.

B-3 rotate the compute’s arm outwards.

B-2 Remove the bolt and keep it.

B-4 screw back the bolt you removed earlier.
B-5 lock the computer’s heigh by placing a bolt

C-1 Lift device’s main pillar and lock all supporting bolts on both sides.
Note: two people are required – one to hold the main pillar in place and the other to screw all bolts. Do not release
the main pillar until all bolts are in place.

DST8000 Maintenance
A yearly inspection is recommended. Note - configuration and colors may differ, depending on your model and accessories.
1. Visual inspection
1. Make sure that the ceiling height is at least 2.6 meter.
2. Make sure that no objects or other equipment is touching the DST or too close to it.
3. Both sides of the DST must be spacious enough to allow physiotherapists to move freely around the device to adjust the handrails. A clearance of 50 cm
is recommended at both sides of the DST.
4. Make sure that there a are no windows near the DST in a way that an opened window will interfere with the up movement of the DST
5. To avoid water splash, make sure that there is no source of water, like a sink, near the DST.
6. Make sure that no objects, like physiotherapy resistance band (Therabands) are tied to the DST.
7. If after the above visual inspection, relocation of the DST is needed, please refer to the attached DST User Guide.
2. Raise the DST to the highest position
1. The DST should go up smoothly and quietly.
2. Pull out the electric plug out of the wall outlet.
3. Inspect the integrity of the main electric cord of the unit and of the cord of the hand control.
3. Physical inspection
1. Fig #1 - make sure these bolts are tightened. Tighten if needed. Use 4 mm Allen key and 10 mm Wrench key (supplied with the DST).
2. Fig #2 - make sure that the safety pins are in place. If not, find replacements and inset them. Do not use the DST without these safety pins.
3. Fig #3 – make sure these bolts and nuts are tightened. Tighten if needed. Use 5 mm Allen key and 13 mm Wrench key (supplied with the DST).
4. Fig #4 – make sure these bolts are tightened. Tighten if needed. Use 4 mm Allen key (supplied with the DST).
5. Fig #5 – make sure that the leveling feet touch the floor.
6. Fig #6 - make sure these bolts and nuts are tightened. Tighten if needed. Use 5 mm Allen key and 13 mm Wrench key (supplied with the DST).
7. Fig #7 - make sure these bolts and nuts are tightened. Tighten if needed. Use 4 mm Allen key and 10 mm Wrench key (supplied with the DST).
8. Adjust the height of the handrails. See instructions at the attached DST User Guide page #5 (adjusting the handrail height). Make sure that the handrails
are stable at all heights.
9. Note: you may have to remove decorative covers from nuts before tightening.
4. Document your inspection and send a copy to info@dpemed.com . The report will enable us to advise you regarding the condition of your DST and to give you
further instructions if needed.
