❐Nutzen Sie das Gerät nur wie in der Anleitung beschrieben. Jede weitere Verwendung gilt
als bestimmungswidrig.
❐Das Gerät ist nicht dazu bestimmt, mit einer externen Zeitschaltuhr oder einem separaten
Fernwirksystem betrieben zu werden.
Verletzungsgefahren
❐Halten Sie Kinder und Tiere vom Gerät und Verpackungsmaterial fern.
❐Dieses Gerät ist nicht dafür bestimmt, durch Personen (einschließlich Kinder) mit ein-

„Vor dem ersten Gebrauch“).
Aufstellen und Anschließen
❐Verwenden Sie das Gerät nur in geschlossenen Räumen.
❐Stellen Sie das Gerät immer auf einen trockenen, ebenen, festen und hitzeunempfindlichen
Untergrund.
❐Halten Sie ausreichend Abstand zu Wärmequellen wie z. B. Herdplatten oder Öfen, um
Geräteschäden zu vermeiden.
❐Schließen Sie das Gerät nur an eine vorschriftsmäßig installierte Steckdose mit Schutzkon-
takten an. Die Steckdose muss auch nach dem Anschließen gut zugänglich sein. Die Netz-
spannung muss mit den technischen Daten des Gerätes übereinstimmen. Verwenden Sie
nur ordnungsgemäße Verlängerungskabel, deren technische Daten mit denen des Gerätes
übereinstimmen.
❐Achten Sie darauf, dass das angeschlossene Netzkabel keine Stolpergefahr darstellt. Lassen
Sie das Kabel nicht über den Rand von Tischen oder Küchentheken hängen. Es könnte
jemand hängen bleiben und das Gerät herunterziehen.
❐Verlegen Sie das Kabel so, dass es nicht gequetscht oder geknickt wird und nicht mit hei-
ßen Flächen in Berührung kommt.

Aufstellen und Anschließen
❐Überprüfen Sie das Gerät vor jeder Inbetriebnahme auf Beschädigungen. Wenn das Gerät,
das Kabel oder der Stecker sichtbare Schäden aufweisen, darf das Gerät nicht benutzt
werden. Verwenden Sie das Gerät nicht, wenn es eine Fehlfunktion hatte oder herunterge-
fallen ist.
❐Sollte das Gerät defekt sein, versuchen Sie nicht, das Gerät eigenständig zu reparieren.
Kontaktieren Sie in Schadensfällen den Kundenservice (siehe Abschnitt „Kundenservice“).
❐Bei Schäden/Störungen schalten Sie das Gerät sofort aus.
❐Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose,
– wenn Sie das Gerät über einen längeren Zeitraum nicht verwenden,
– wenn während des Betriebes ein Fehler auftritt,
– vor einem Gewitter,
– bevor Sie es reinigen.
❐Wenn Sie den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose ziehen möchten, ziehen Sie immer am Ste-
cker und nie am Kabel.
❐Tauchen Sie das Gerät niemals in Wasser oder andere Flüssigkeiten! Stellen Sie sicher, dass
das Gerät, das Kabel oder der Stecker nicht ins Wasser fallen oder nass werden können.
Sollte das Gerät ins Wasser fallen, unterbrechen Sie sofort die Stromzufuhr.
❐Berühren Sie das Gerät, das Kabel oder den Stecker niemals mit feuchten Händen.
❐Lassen Sie das Gerät nicht ohne Aufsicht eingeschaltet.
❐Lassen Sie das Gerät nicht fallen und setzen Sie es keinen starken Stößen aus.
❐Verwenden Sie zum Kaffeekochen nur frisches (trinkbares), kaltes bis mittel warmes Trink-
wasser. Kein heißes Wasser einfüllen!
❐Verwenden Sie das Gerät nicht ohne Wasser.
❐Verwenden Sie das Gerät nie ohne eine der mitgelieferten Isolierkannen.
❐Der zubereitete Kaffee ist heiß. Seien Sie vorsichtig beim Einschenken, Umfüllen und Ver-
zehren!
❐Verbrühungsgefahr durch den heißen Dampf! Öffnen Sie während des Brühvorgangs nicht
den Wassertankdeckel!
❐Füllen Sie kein Wasser in eine bereits eingeschaltete Maschine ein. Sie könnten sich – im
ungünstigsten Fall – durch einen plötzlich auftretenden Dampfstoß verbrühen.
❐Während des Brühvorgangs dürfen weder der Filter noch die Kanne nicht entnommen
werden.
❐Die Warmhalteplatte kann sehr heiß werden. Berühren Sie diese nicht und legen Sie auf ihr
keine Gegenstände ab.
❐Verwenden Sie nur Zubehör, das im Lieferumfang enthalten ist oder ausschließlich vom
Hersteller empfohlen wird.
❐Schalten Sie das Gerät unbedingt aus, bevor Sie neuen Kaffee aufsetzen.
❐Stellen Sie das Gerät nicht unter Küchenoberschränke o.Ä. Durch den aufsteigenden
Dampf könnten diese Schaden nehmen!

Vor dem ersten Gebrauch
Bevor Sie das Gerät benutzen können, müssen Sie:
• den Lieferumfang auspacken,
• das Gerät reinigen.
Auspacken
ACHTUNG!
❐Halten Sie Kinder und Tiere vom Verpackungsmaterial fern. Es besteht Erstickungsgefahr!
Packen Sie alle Teile aus und überprüfen Sie den Lieferumfang auf Vollständigkeit (siehe
Abschnitt „Lieferumfang & Geräteübersicht“) und Transportschäden. Falls die Bestandteile
Schäden aufweisen sollten, verwenden Sie diese nicht(!), sondern kontaktieren Sie unseren
Kundenservice.
Reinigen
ACHTUNG!
❐Das Produkt kann mit Produktionsrückständen behaftet sein. Um gesundheitliche Beein-
trächtigungen zu vermeiden, reinigen Sie es gründlich vor dem ersten Gebrauch.
1. Reinigen Sie den herausnehmbaren Filtereinsatz, den Dauerfilter und die Isolierkannen in
warmem Wasser mit einem mildem Spülmittel.
2. Um mögliche Produktionsrückstände zu beseitigen, lassen Sie vor dem ersten Gebrauch
einen kompletten Wassertank ohne Kaffeepulver durch das Gerät laufen. Beachten Sie die
Anleitungsschritte im Abschnitt „Benutzung“ um das Gerät in Betrieb zu nehmen.
Benutzung
ACHTUNG!
❐Bei den ersten Durchläufen kann es zu Rauch- und Geruchsentwicklung kommen. Dies ist
kein Produktionsfehler und verflüchtigt sich nach einiger Zeit von selbst.
❐Während der Aufheiz- und Abkühlphase lassen sich eventuell Geräusche vernehmen, die
auf Ausdehnung und Kontraktion einzelner Gerätebestandteile zurückzuführen sind.
❐Verbrühungsgefahr! Öffnen Sie den Wassertankdeckel nicht während des Gebrauchs, es
könnte heißer Dampf austreten.
❐Überfüllen Sie das Gerät nicht. Wenn Sie Wasser in den Wassertank des Gerätes füllen,
achten Sie darauf, dass Sie die MAX-Markierung der Wasserstandsanzeige nicht über-
schreiten.
1. Stellen Sie das Gerät auf einen ebenen, festen und hitzeunempfindlichen Untergrund.
2. Schließen Sie das Gerät an eine ordnungsgemäß installierte Steckdose an.

3. Öffnen Sie den Wassertankdeckel.
4. Füllen die benötigte Menge Wasser in das Gerät. Achten Sie
dabei auf die Wasserstandsanzeige seitlich am Gerät.
5. Legen Sie Dauerfilter in den herausnehmbaren Filter ein.
6. Befüllen Sie den Dauerfilter mit der gewünschten Menge an Kaffeepulver.
7. Schließen Sie den Wassertankdeckel.
8. Stellen Sie die Isolierkanne auf die Warmhalteplatte.
9. Achten Sie auf den richtigen Sitz des Isolierkannendeckels
während des Brühvorganges. Der Deckel muss fest verschlos-
sen sein. Das Gerät könnte andernfalls überlaufen.

10. Drücken Sie den Ein-/Ausschalter, um das Gerät einzuschal-
ten. Die Kontrollleuchte leuchtet auf, sobald der Brühvorgang
beginnt.
Reinigung und Aufbewahrung
ACHTUNG!
❐Ziehen Sie vor jeder Reinigung den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose.
❐Lassen Sie das Gerät immer abkühlen, bevor Sie es reinigen.
❐Tauchen Sie das Gerät, das Netzkabel oder den Stecker niemals in Wasser und spülen Sie
diese nicht unter fließendem Wasser ab.
❐Verwenden Sie zum Reinigen keine ätzenden oder scheuernden Reinigungsmittel. Diese
können die Oberfläche beschädigen.
1. Vergewissern Sie sich, dass das Gerät ausgeschaltet, vom Stromnetz getrennt und abge-
kühlt ist.
2. Öffnen Sie den Wassertankdeckel und entnehmen den heraus-
nehmbaren Filtereinsatz und den Dauerfilter.
3. Entsorgen Sie den Kaffeesatz.
4. Reinigen Sie den herausnehmbaren Filtereinsatz, den Dauerfilter und die Isolierkannen mit
warmem Wasser und mildem Spülmittel.
5. Wischen Sie das Gehäuse bei Bedarf mit einem feuchten Tuch und ggf. etwas mildem
Reinigungsmittel ab.
6. Lassen Sie alle Teile vollständig trocknen, bevor Sie das Gerät wieder in Betrieb nehmen.

Entkalken
Das Gerät muss von Zeit zu Zeit entkalkt werden. Wie häufig Ihr Gerät entkalkt werden muss
hängt vom Härtegrad Ihres Wassers ab und wie häufig Sie das Gerät verwenden.
• Verwenden Sie zum Entkalken handelsüblichen Entkalker und befolgen die Herstelleranga-
ben zur Anwendung.
• Entkalken Sie das Gerät, wenn...
...Sie während der Benutzung eine erhöhte Geräuschentwicklung bemerken.
...das Gerät während der Benutzung übermäßig Dampf ausstößt.
...sich die Brühzeiten des Gerätes verlängern.
...wenn das Gerät kein Wasser mehr aus dem Wassertank pumpt, obwohl dieser gefüllt ist.
• Bei regelmäßigen Gebrauch sollten Sie das Gerät...
...einmal im Jahr entkalken, wenn Sie in einem Gebiet mit niedrigem Wasserhärtegrad
wohnen.
...alle drei Monate entkalken, wenn Sie in einem Gebiet mit mittlerem Wasserhärtegrad
wohnen.
...jeden Monat entkalken, wenn Sie in einem Gebiet mit hohem Wasserhärtegrad wohnen.
Fehlerbehebung
Sollte das Gerät nicht ordnungsgemäß funktionieren, überprüfen Sie bitte zunächst, ob Sie ein
Problem selbst beheben können. Kontaktieren Sie ansonsten den Kundenservice. Versuchen
Sie nicht, ein defektes Gerät eigenständig zu reparieren!
Problem Mögliche Ursache /Lösung
Das Gerät funktioniert nicht.
• Ist das Gerät eingeschaltet?
• Steckt der Netzstecker richtig in der Steckdose?
• Ist die Steckdose defekt? Probieren Sie eine andere
Steckdose.
• Überprüfen Sie die Sicherung Ihres Netzanschlusses.
Der Filtereinsatz läuft über.
• Der Dauerfilter ist nicht korrekt eingesetzt worden.
• Der Filtereinsatz sitzt nicht korrekt im Gerät.
• Die Isolierkanne steht nicht korrekt auf der Warm-
halteplatte.
• Im Filter befindet sich zuviel Kaffee.
• Das Ventil am Filter ist verstopft oder kaputt.
Das Gerät brüht keinen Kaffee
bzw. brüht nur sehr langsam
Kaffee.
• Im Wassertank befindet sich kein Wasser.
• Es ist kein Kaffeepulver im Filter.
• Der Filtereinsatz ist nicht korrekt in das Gerät einge-
setzt worden.
• Der Kaffee ist zu fein gemahlen und verstopft den
Filter.
• Das Gerät muss entkalkt werden.

Safety instructions
Proper use
❐This appliance is designed for making coffee and keeping it warm.
❐The device is intended for domestic, not commercial, use.
❐Only use the appliance as described in these instructions. Any other use is deemed im-
proper.
❐The appliance is not intended to be operated with an external timer or a separate telecon-
trol system.
Risks of injury
❐Keep children and pets away from the appliance and packaging.
❐This appliance is not suitable for use by persons (including children) with restricted sensory
or intellectual abilities or with a lack of experience and/or knowledge unless they are
supervised by a person responsible for their safety or have received instructions from that
person as to how to use the appliance. Children must be under supervision to ensure that
they do not play with the appliance.
❐Do not use the appliance if it is damaged.
Health safety notes
❐There may be some production residues stuck to the appliance. To avoid health risks, clean
it thoroughly before first use (see section “Before first use”).
Set-up and connection
❐Only use the product in enclosed areas.
❐Always place the appliance on a dry, level, firm, and heat-resistant surface.
❐Maintain adequate distance to heat sources such as stovetops or ovens in order to prevent
damage to the appliance.
❐Only connect the appliance to a properly installed socket with protective earth contacts.
The socket must also be easily accessible after the appliance has been connected. The
mains voltage must correspond to the technical data of the appliance. Only use proper
extension cords, whose technical data correspond to those of the appliance.
❐Ensure that the connected mains cord does not pose a tripping hazard. Do not allow the
cord to hang over the edge of a table or kitchen worktop. Someone could catch him/her-
self and pull down the appliance.
❐Lay the cable such that it is not crushed or creased and such that it does not come into
contact with hot surfaces.

Set-up and connection
❐Check the appliance for damages prior to each use. If the appliance, the cord or the plug
exhibit visible damages, the appliance may not be used. Do not use the appliance if it mal-
functions or has fallen down.
❐If the appliance is defective, do not attempt to repair it yourself. In the event of damage,
contact customer service (see section “Customer service”).
❐In the event of damages/malfunctions, immediately deactivate the appliance.
❐Pull the mains plug from the socket
– if you do not plan to use the appliance for a prolonged period of time,
– if a defect occurs while in use,
– before a storm,
– before you clean it.
❐If you wish to remove the mains plug from the socket, never pull on the cable, but always
on the plug.
❐Never submerge the appliance in water or other liquids! Make sure that the appliance, the
cord or the plug do not fall in water or are at risk of getting wet. If the appliance falls in
water, immediately disconnect the power supply.
❐Never touch the appliance, the cord or the plug with wet hands.
❐Do not leave the appliance activated when unattended.
❐Do not allow the appliance to fall and do not subject it to strong percussions.
❐Only use fresh (drinking) water for making coffee that has a cold to moderately warm
temperature. Don’t add any hot water!
❐Do not use the appliance without water.
❐Never use the appliance without one of the enclosed insulated flasks.
❐The prepared coffee is hot. Be careful when pouring it into cups, other vessels and when
consuming it!
❐Scalding hazard due to hot steam! Do not open the water tank lid during the brewing proc-
ess!
❐Do not add any water to the coffee maker once it has been turned on. You could scald
yourself – in the worst case – due to the sudden emission of steam.
❐The filter may not be pivoted out and the flask may not be removed during the brewing
process.
❐The heating plate may become very hot. Do not touch it and do not set any objects on it.
❐Only use accessories that are contained in the product contents or which have been ex-
pressly recommended by the manufacturer.
❐Be absolutely sure to turn off the appliance before you start the next brewing process.
❐Do not place the appliance underneath overhanging cupboards or the like. The steam emit-
ted could damage them!
Warranty conditions
Defects arising due to improper handling, damage or attempts to repair the appliance are
excluded from the warranty. This also applies to normal wear and tear.

Prior to first use
Before using the appliance for the first time you must:
• unpack the product contents,
• clean the appliance.
Unpacking
ATTENTION!
❐Keep children and pets away from the packaging. Danger of suffocation exists!
Unpack all parts and make sure that the product contents are complete (see section “Product
content and appliance overview”) and check for any damages from transport. If you identify
damages to the components, do not use them (!), instead contact our customer service centre.
Cleaning
ATTENTION!
❐There may be some production residues stuck to the product. To avoid health risks, clean
it thoroughly before first use.
1. Clean the removable filter insert, the permanent filter and the insulated flasks in warm
water with a mild detergent.
2. To remove any product residue, let a complete water tank circulate through the appliance
without coffee grounds before using the appliance for the first time.Observe the steps
described in the section “Use” in order to start up the appliance.
Use
ATTENTION!
❐It is possible that smoke and odour may be produced the first few times water is circu-
lated. This is not a production defect and disappears after a short time.
❐Noises during the heating and cooling phase indicate that the individual parts of the appli-
ance are expanding and contracting.
❐Scalding hazard! Do not open the water tank lid during use; otherwise hot steam could be
emitted.
❐Do not overfill the appliance. If you add water to the water tank of the appliance, make
sure that you do not exceed the MAX mark of the water level gauge.
1. Place the appliance on a dry, level and heat-resistant base.
2. Connect the appliance to a properly installed socket.

3. Open the water tank lid.
4. Add the necessary amount of water to the appliance. In the
process, pay attention to the water level gauge on the side of
the appliance.
5. Insert the permanent filter in the removable filter insert.
6. Fill the permanent filter with the desired amount of coffee grounds.
7. Close the water tank lid.
8. Place the insulated flask on the heating plate.
9. Make sure that the insulated flask lid is properly seated during
the brewing process. The lid must be securely closed. Other-
wise the contents could leak out.

10. Push the On/Off switch to turn on the appliance. The power
light turns on as soon as the brewing process begins.
Cleaning and storage
ATTENTION!
❐Prior to each cleaning, pull the plug out of the socket.
❐Always allow the appliance to cool off before you clean it.
❐Never immerse the appliance, the mains cord or plug in water and never rinse them off
under running water.
❐When cleaning, do not use any scouring or abrasive cleaners. They could damage the
surface.
1. Ensure that the appliance is switched off, disconnected from the power supply and that it
has cooled off.
2. Open the water tank lid and take out the removable filter
insert and the permanent filter.
3. Dispose of the leftover coffee grounds.
4. Clean the removable filter insert, the permanent and the insulated flasks in warm water
and with a mild detergent.
5. When needed, wipe the housing off with a damp cloth and if necessary, use a small amount
of mild detergent.
6. Let all parts dry completely before you prepare the appliance for use again.

Decalcifying
The appliance must be decalcified from time to time. The frequency of how often your appli-
ance must be decalcified depends on the hardness of your water and how often you use the
appliance.
• Use a commercially available decalcifier for decalcifying the appliance and follow the manu-
facturer’s instructions on using the decalcifier.
• Decalcify the appliance if...
...you notice increased noise during use.
...the appliance emits an excessive amount of steam during use.
...the appliance’s brewing process takes longer.
...if the appliance no longer pumps water out of the water tank although it is full.
• In the event of regular use, the appliance should be decalcified...
...once a year if you live in an area with low water hardness.
...every three months if you live in an area with moderate water hardness.
...every month if you live in an area with high water hardness.
Troubleshooting
If the appliance is not working properly, please check whether you are able to rectify the
problem yourself. Otherwise contact customer service. Do not attempt to repair a defective
appliance yourself!
Problem Potential cause/solution
The appliance is not working.
• Is the appliance activated?
• Is the plug properly connected with the socket?
• Is the socket defective? Try another socket.
• Check the fuse for your mains connection.
The filter insert overflows.
• The permanent filter has not been inserted properly.
• The filter insert is not correctly seated in the appli-
ance.
• The insulated flask is not correctly positioned on the
heating plate.
• There is too much coffee in the filter.
• The valve on the filter is plugged or broken.
The appliance does not brew
any coffee and/or only brews
coffee very slowly.
• There is no water in the water tank.
• There are no coffee grounds in the filter.
• The filter insert is not correctly inserted in the appli-
ance.
• The coffee is ground too fine and plugs the filter.
• The appliance must be decalcified.
