1.1 Back Panel:
The back panel of the 4 Ports 11g VoIP ADSL2/2+ Router contains ADSL, VoIP (2FXS and
1FXO) Interface, Ethernet Switches, 2.4GHz Antenna, Reset Button, Power ON/OFF and
Power Adaptor connection.
SMA Detachable 2.4GHz SMA Antenna.
Ports 1~4 Four 10/100Mbps Ethernet Ports for connecting to the host computer or other
network devices.
ADSL RJ-11 Port for connecting to the ADSL/ADSL2/ADSL2+ Service Provider.
FXO RJ-11 Port for connecting to the PSTN or PABX.
FXS0 RJ-11 Port for connecting to the Analog Telephone device set #1.
FXS1 RJ-11 Port for connecting to the Analog Telephone device set #2.
Power Power jack connect to power adapter.
On/Off Power ON/OFF Switch.

1.2 Front Panel:
The 4 Ports 11g VoIP ADSL2/2+ Router’s LED indicators display information about the
device’s status.
POWER Lights up when 4 Ports 11g VoIP ADSL2/2+ Router is powered on.
WLAN Lights up when WLAN is Active. Blinking when Sending/Receiving Data.
Blinking when 4 Ports 11g VoIP ADSL2/2+ Router is ready.
ADSL Lights up when a successful ADSL2/2+ connection is established.
1 LINK/ACT Blinking when Port 1 of this 4 Ports 11g VoIP ADSL2/2+ Router is
Sending/Receiving data.
2 LINK/ACT Blinking when Port 2 of this 4 Ports 11g VoIP ADSL2/2+ Router is
Sending/Receiving data.
3 LINK/ACT Blinking when Port 3 of this 4 Ports 11g VoIP ADSL2/2+ Router is
Sending/Receiving data.
4 LINK/ACT Blinking when Port 4 of this 4 Ports 11g VoIP ADSL2/2+ Router is
Sending/Receiving data.
FXS Lights up when SIP Server is successful registered.
FXO Lights up during an active FXO session.
RESET Restore the 4 Ports 11g VoIP ADSL2/2+ Router to factory default setting.
RESET Button:
Reboot & Restore the 4 Ports 11g VoIP ADSL2/2+ Router to factor

defaults.

To Reset the 4 Ports 11g VoIP ADSL2/2+ Router:
Ensure that the device is powered on.
Press the Reset button for 10~15 seconds and release. Wait for 30 seconds after
release the Reset button. Do not power off the device during the reset process.
The default settings are now restored after 30 seconds.

2.1 Connection Mechanism:
This section describes the hardware connection mechanism of your 4 Ports 11g VoIP
ADSL2/2+ Router on your Local Area Network (LAN) connect to the Internet, how to
configure your 4 Ports 11g VoIP ADSL2/2+ Router for Internet access or how to manually
configure your Internet connection.
Before you can establish an Internet or Wireless connection through your 4 Ports 11g VoIP
ADSL2/2+ Router, make sure you have the following:
1. A Computer/Notebook with an installed Ethernet Adaptor and an Ethernet Cable
2. ADSL service account and configuration information provided by your Internet Service
Provider (ISP). Some of the following configuration parameters are require in order to
connect your 4 Ports 11g Wireless ADSL2/2+ Router to the Internet:
a. VPI/VCI parameters
b. Multiplexing Method or Protocol Type or Encapsulation Type
c. Host and Domain Names
d. ISP Login Name and Password
e. ISP Domain Name Server (DNS) Address
f. Fixed or Static IP Address

3. A VoIP SIP account and configuration information provided by your Internet Service
Provider (ISP) or a self registered VoIP account parameters (Refer to Chapter 9 on
how to register and have your self registered VoIP account number).

setting, please refer to user manual for details.

2.2 Steps for Connection:
Following are the steps to properly connect your 4 Ports 11g VoIP ADSL2/2+ Router:
1. Turn off your computer.
2. Connect the ADSL port of your 4 Ports 11g VoIP ADSL2/2+ Router to the wall jack of the
ADSL Line with a RJ-11 cable.
3. Connect the Ethernet cable (RJ-45) from your 4 Ports 11g VoIP ADSL2/2+ Router to the
Ethernet Adaptor in your computer.
4. Plug in your PSTN or PABX line to the FXO jack for out line calls.
5. Plug in your Analog Telephone Set to the FXS (FXS0 or FXS1) port for Internet VoIP
calls (You must have a VoIP account registered before you can make any Internet calls).
6. Connect the Power adaptor to the 4 Ports 11g VoIP ADSL2/2+ Router and plug the
other end into a Power outlet.
Use the Power Adaptor exclusively in combination with th
e
equipment supplied and do not use any other kind of power adapto

for the equipment.

7. Turn on your 4 Ports 11g VoIP ADSL2/2+ Router.
The Power light will lit after turning on the 4 Ports 11g VoIP ADSL2/2+
Router.

8. Turn on your computer.

Launch your web browser, and enter the 4 Ports 11g VoIP ADSL2/2+ Router’s IP
Address:
“192.168.1.1”
in the
address field then press the “Enter” key to login.
2. Enter the default User Name: “admin” and Password: “admin”. Then press “OK” to
login.
Note that the Username and Password are case sensitive.

3. Upon entering the address into the web browser, the Welcome home page with all the
device configurable information will pop up.
The Quick Start - Wizard is a presetting ISP list which meant to help you install your 4
Ports 11g VoIP ADSL2/2+ Router quickly and easily.
Follow the following procedures or steps to set up your 4 Ports 11g VoIP ADSL2/2+
Router.

Click “Wizard” and the following window will pop-up. Follow the following Steps to setup
your ADSL or ADSL2/2+ connection.

Step 1: Select your country from the Country list and the ADSL service provider from the
ISP List (If there are more than two ISP in your country) and note the
“Encapsulation” type, “VPI” and “VCI” setting. Click “NEXT” to continue.

Click “WAN ” and refer to User Manual if you can’t find an

available parameters from the presetting country list. Check you

ISP or dealer immediately for the setting/configuration details.

A. The following window will pop-up for those ISP/Telecom using the following
“Encapsulation” type after clicking the “Next” button at Step 1 :
PPPoA VC-Mux
PPPoA LLC
PPPoE VC-Mux
PPPoE LLC
Please manually enter your “PPP Username” and “PPP Password” which will be
provided by your Service Provider (ISP). Click “NEXT” after setup. The following
window will pop-up.

B. The following window will pop-up for those ISP/Telecom using the following
“Encapsulation” type after clicking the “Next” button at Step 1:
1483 Routed IP VC-Mux
1483 Routed IP LLC
1483 Bridged IP VC-Mux

In this current window, you will find TWO different Connection Type:
Manual Mode
DHCP Mode

1. Manual Mode: Click the radio button to enable Manual option then click “NEXT”. The
following window will pop-up.
Manually enter the “Gateway WAN address”, “Gateway WAN Subnet Mask”,
“Internet Gateway address”, “Primary DNS address” and “Secondary DNS
address” which will be provided by your ISP.
Click “NEXT” after setup. The following window will pop-up.
Gateway WAN address: IP Address provided by your ISP.
Gateway WAN Subnet Mask: Subnet mask provided by your ISP.
Internet Gateway address: The Gateway IP Address provided by your ISP.
Primary DNS address: The Primary DNS Address specify by your ISP.
Secondary DNS address: The Secondary DNS Address specify by your ISP.

2. DHCP Mode: Click the radio button to enable DHCP option then click “NEXT”.
Nothing to be filled under this mode. The following window will pop-up
after clicking the “NEXT” button.

Step 2: The WAN: Confirm configuration page with all the device configuration
information will pop-up after your setting at Step 1.
Check the following items when the above window pop-up:
1. For PPPoA & PPPoE Encapsulation Type:
Check the “Encapsulation” type and “VPI” and “VCI” setting. The
Encapsulation type, VPI/VCI setting should be the same as shown in Step
1.
2. For 1483 Routed or 1483 Bridged Encapsulation Type:
Check the “Gateway WAN address”, “Gateway WAN Subnet Mask”,
“Internet Gateway address”, “Primary DNS address” and “Secondary
DNS address” setting when choosing Manual Mode setting. These
setting/configuration should be the same as provided by your ISP and
should be the same as shown in Step 1.

If the final setting are differ from what you’d selected in Step 1, clic

“Wizard” and redo the setup procedures or else check your ISP o
r
dealer immediately for technical support.

Click “CONFIRM CHANGES” after your confirmation on above setting. The
following window wizard will pop-up.
Click “OK” to configure your VoIP (Refer to Chapter 7 for setting detail)
setting or click “Cancel” to give up the configuration process. Refer to
Chapter 7 to setup your VoIP functionality.

1. Go to “Setup” “ADSL” and the following window will pop-up. Check the
“Operation mode”, “State”, “Trained transmit bit rate” and “Trained receive bit
rate”. The data/number shows you the actual ADSL connection mode, state and
connection speed.
