HOW TO SET UP
INSTRUCTIONS
STEP 1
STEP 2
Please read each step before you attempt to set up. Save these instructions
for future reference.
NOTE - First time top and frame attachment is required
Top and frames are shipped separately to avoid damage. A first time set up
requires that the main frame and sub frame be assembled together and the top
to be attached to the frame. This first time will take longer than future set ups.
Once top is permanently attached to frame, set up and take down can be easily
accomplished within minutes.
With a partner, gently expand the main
frame and sub-frame to approximately
half of its fully opened position. Face
open ends of trusses toward each other.
Attach the main frame to the sub-frame
at four points. The outside end of each
truss is marked with either an “A” or a
“B” label. Locate these labels as well as
the “A” “B” labels on the main frame
angle brackets. Attach “B” truss to the
adjoining “B” endcap with the bolts and
tools provided. Attach eyelet of cable as
shown. Tighten the bolts securely. Do not
over tighten bolts - ensure they can still
rotate easily. Repeat this procedure for
the “A” label.

STEP 3
When attaching part “A” to part
“B”, ensure the cables are attached
as shown.
STEP 4
Use the bolts and tools provided to
connect the part “B” peak assembly to
the part “A” hub in three locations.
STEP 5
Place your Bungalow® by E-Z UP®frame
in the center of area to be shaded. With
one or two partners on opposite sides,
grasp outer legs, slightly lift shelter off
the ground and step backwards stopping
at full arms’ length.
STEP 6
Unfold the fabric top and place it over the
open frame. Align the six corners of the
top over the six corners of the frame.
STEP 7
To secure the top to frame, align grommet
holes on valance with bolts in frame.

5
HOW TO SET UP
STEP 8
Unscrew top attachment nut from bolt. Place
grommeted fabric top over the bolt, install
top attachment nut and tighten until snug.
Top should rotate easily - Do not over
tighten. Repeat on remaining grommets.
STEP 9
With partner, grasp the bottom of the
diamond shaped area of trusses on
opposite sides of the shelter. Lift up and with
partner begin to open shelter by stepping
backwards stopping at no more than one
arms’ length each.
IMPORTANT: If shelter starts to distort,
return shelter to hexagon shape, and repeat
step 9. Complete steps 9A - 9D.
STEP 9A
Move to the next adjacent side, with partner moving to the
opposite side. Lift up and with partner A., continue to open by
stepping backwards no more then one foot each.
STEP 9B
Move to the next adjacent side with partner A., moving again
to the opposite side lift up and continue to open by stepping
backwards no more than one foot each.
STEP 9C
Move to next adjacent side. Shelter should be very close to
being open. Do not force shelter open. Smaller steps will
prevent frame distortion. When shape starts to distort,
you have gone too far.
STEP 9D
You may need to continue to repeat steps 9A or 9B until shelter
is fully open.
