*Note: First Time Attachment Is Required.
Top and frame are shipped separately to avoid damage.
A first time set up requires that top be bolted on to the frame.
This first time set up takes longer than future set ups. Once
top is permanently attached to frame, set up and take down
are easily accomplished within seconds.
Please read each step before you attempt to set up.
Save these instructions for future reference.
*1.
With a partner, gently expand
the main frame part “A” and sub-
frame part “B” to approximately half
of its fully opened position. Face
open ends of trusses toward each
other.
*2.
Attach the main frame to the
sub-frame at six points. The outside
end of each truss is marked with
either an “A” or “B” label. Locate
these labels as well as the “A” “B”
labels on the main frame angle brack-
ets. Attach each “B” truss to the
adjoining “B” bracket with the bolts
provided. Ensure that the “B” label
on the truss touches the “B” label
on the bracket and tighten the bolts
securely by inserting the allen wrench
into the bolt and securing the washer
with the open end wrench. Do not
overtighten bolts - make sure that
they can still rotate easily. Complete
by attaching the remaining “A” truss-
es to the adjoining “A” brackets.
3.
Place your E-Z UP® Instant
Shelter® frame in the center of area
to be shaded. With partner on
opposite 10’ sides of shelter, grasp
outer legs, lift off the ground, and
step backwards stopping at full
arms’ length - approximately 3/4 its
total size.
*4.
Gently unfold the fabric top
and place it over the open shelter.
Align the four corners of the top
over the four corners of the frame.
*5.
Attach each corner of the
top to the frame by matching
the quick attachment strips on
the top with the quick attach-
ment strips on the frame. Pull
the corners down fully. Push
the strips firmly together at each
corner.
*6.
To secure the top to
frame, align each of the 6 grom-
met holes on valance with the
bolts in frame.
8.
With two hands grasp the
bottom of the diamond shaped
area of trusses on the opposite
10’ sides of shelter. Lift up and
continue stepping backward until
shelter is fully opened shaking
slightly. Be careful not to pinch
fingers.
9.
Engage the Auto-Slider® at
each corner by pushing up with
one hand while holding down
the top of the leg with the other
hand. The quick pin will engage
the hole. Then pull down the
hem of the top. Repeat at all
four corners and at the middle
leg.
*7.
Unscrew top attachment
nut from bolt. Place grommeted
fabric top over the bolt, screw on
top attachment nut and tighten
until snug. Top should rotate
easily - do not overtighten.
Repeat this procedure on the
remaining grommets.

2.
With partner on opposite
10’ sides of shelter, lift outer
leg up 1”, depress toggle
button and telescope inner
leg up into outer leg. Repeat
steps 1 and 2 on remaining
legs.
4.
Grasp the top of the dia-
mond shaped area of trusses,
on the opposite 10’ sides of
shelter, lift shelter up slightly
and shake while stepping
toward one another.
5.
Grasp adjacent outer
legs and gently push shelter
together until fully closed. Be
careful not to pinch fingers!
Store shelter in cover bag in
upright position.
10.
With partner, lift up
two outer legs as shown 1”
and lower the inner legs until
toggle button locks. Repeat
on middle leg on same side.
Repeat on opposite legs.
Be sure to adjust two legs
at one time to avoid frame
damage.
11.
Lower adjacent
center legs until toggle but-
ton locks.
1.
Depress toggle button
on one center leg and tele-
scope inner leg into outer
leg.
3.
Release the Auto-Slider®
at each corner and center by
first lifting hem of top. With
one hand, push up on truss
near slider, release quick pin
by pulling ring.
