implanted metallic or electronic devices
• Cardiac demand pacemakers
• EpilepsyorVasovagalSyncope
• Followingacutetraumaorfracture
• Followingrecentsurgicalprocedures
• Critical ischemia of lower limbs
• Abdominaloringuinalhernia
• Cancerous lesions
Thelong-termeffectsofprolongeduseofelectricalstimulationdevicesisunknown.Stimulationshould
not be applied on the neck or throat. Severe spasm of the muscles may occur and the contractions
maybestrongenoughtoclosetheairwayorcausedifcultyinbreathing.Stimulationontheneckcould
also have adverse effects on the heart rhythm and alternatively your blood pressure levels.
Electrodes used for electrical stimulation should not be applied across the chest because of the
exposureofelectricalcurrentintothechestwhichmaycauserhythmdisturbancestotheheart.
The effects of stimulation of the brain are unknown. Therefore, stimulation should not be applied across
theheadandelectrodesshouldnotbeplacedonoppositesidesoftheheadortemples(transcranial).
TheuseoftheButteryMassagerpadsovertheabdominalareduringpregnancyormenstrualperiods
isnotrecommended.Alwaysconsultyourgeneralpractitioner.
TheButteryMassagershouldnotbeusedwhiledriving,operatingmachinery,orduringanyactivityin
whichinvoluntarymusclecontractionsmayputtheuseratriskofinjury.Donotusewhilstexercisingor
duringanysportactivitylikeswimming.
Cautionshouldbeusedwhenapplyingthedeviceoverareasoftheskinthatlackofnormalsensation
orareknowntohavesensorialdepravation.Alwaysconsultyourdoctororgeneralpractitioner.
StimulationwiththeButteryMassagershouldnotbeappliedwheninthebathorshower.Donotuse
theButteryMassagerinahumidatmosphere(sauna,hydrotherapy,etc.)
Electrodes should be applied only on normal, intact, clean skin. Electrodes should not be applied
overopenwoundsoroverswollen,infected,orinamedareasorskineruptions(e.g.,phlebitis,
thrombophlebitis,varicoseveins,etc.)Electrodesshouldnotbesharedwithotherpeopleevenifthey
are related or if they are close family members. Each person should have their own set of pads;
otherwise, undesirable skin reactions may occur.
Self-adhesiveelectrodesshouldbereplacediftheynolongerstickrmlytotheskin.
Somepersonsmayexperienceskinirritationorhypersensitivityduetotheelectricalmicro-current
electrical stimulation. If this should occur, please discontinue its use and seek medical advice.
