Introduction
Congratulations with the purchase of your new Ticket Circus equipped with the new “EMOS”
Technology.
We advise you to read this manual completely, so you learn the different possibilities and uses of this
new system.
Different aspects can be set by means of a tablet (included) or mobile phones (equipped with the
software of EMOS) on Android operating system. Apple IOS & Windows OS are not supported.
Information about the functionality of the system can be displayed on the tablet. Also, settings can be
adjusted and test procedures can be activated wirelessly.
The operator must know that he can’t put any options or functions into use, which are against
any local codes or legal laws.
The course of the game
The Ticket Circus only pays out tickets.
The Ticket Circus can be played with coins, bills or a swipe card. The player receives a number of
tokens on the central display.
With the joystick, the player can move the token arm sideways over the playfield. When the player
presses the fire button, one token will be launched. When he keeps pressing the fire button, the
tokens will be continuously launched.
The objective of the game is to win as many tickets as possible won by collecting tag points.
The Ticket Circus works with a closed loop system, which means that the tokens and the tags that
drop, will stay inside the machine! A central elevator inside the machine, will automatically place all the
tags that are won back in the playfield. Tokens go into a hopper.
The Ticket Circus can be purchased either with a variable bonus or a fixed bonus game. It is
not possible to combine both bonus games in one machine! Both systems make the game
more attractive to win more tickets or tokens, so this is a matter of personal choice.

Unpacking and installing the machine
Remove the plastic from around the machine and place the machine on the desired location. Make
sure there are no obstacles around the machine and that it is installed on an even surface.
1. Open all the cabinet doors and glass doors with the correct key. On top lift the antenna of the
router up to receive a good signal. Connect power cord on top
2. Cut off and remove all tie wraps that are on the escalator hoppers on each playfield.
3. Remove all token protectors on each playfield.
4. Unscrew the 3 screws and lift off the plate on each playfield.
5. Different parts needed to install the top sings (1 top sign per playfield).
How to install the top signs:
1.+2. Unscrew 2 parker screws on top of the machine and assemble the yellow bracket
(one on each side).
3. Unscrew 2 fly bolts completely. Don’t remove the bracket!!
4. Install the LED board between the two yellow brackets.
5. Connect the led sign connector on the connector coming out of the top. The cable should be
connected on the left side connector.
6. Slide the plexi top sign in front of the led sign and tighten all fly bolts so that the plexi is fixed.
Repeat for all the playfields.
7. Locate the 6 bags of tokens that are inside the machine. Each bag contains 1000 tokens.

Your bonus game explained
Ticket Circus with variable bonus
For every tag that drops, the led will move forward this amount of steps
(for example 50 steps when a 50 tag drops) + the player will receive this
value in tickets.
You win the bonus when the led circle stops exactly on the STOP
position.

How to play the VARIABLE bonus?
1) The bonus circle consists of 60 LEDs. The first time the machine is started up for a new game or
after an earlier won bonus, the bonus will show the start value and the first LED near the bonus
pointer will light up (A)
2) When the player starts playing, the tokens and price tags will start to drop. Their values will be
added to the bonus circle. So when a 5 tag value drops, the LEDs will move 5 steps forward on the
bonus circle (B)
3) When the circle is complete and the bonus was not won, an extra LED above will light up and 10
extra tokens are rewarded. The bonus display will increase with the Bonus Step Value you have
set.
4) The object is to stop the LED exactly on the top of the circle on the position of the STOP arrows
(blue arrow). (C)
5) If the bonus is won , the bonus points will award to the players give the accumulated tickets and
reset the bonus to the Bonus Start Value.

Ticket Circus with fixed bonus
Every time the player presses the fire button, the led on the bonus circle
will move 1 step forward. He needs to shoot 60 tokens to play for the
bonus. When playing the bonus game, the led will start spinning very
rapidly and the player must try to stop the spinning led exactly on the
STOP position, by pushing the red button.
For every tag that drops, the player will receive this value in tickets (as
opposed to the variable bonus, the led will not move forward in this case!)

How to play the FIXED bonus?
1) The bonus circle has 60 LEDs. With every token that the player shoots, a LED will lit up on the
bonus circle. If the circle is completely lit (after shooting 30 or 60 tokens), the game interrupts and
1 LED will start spinning in the circle. In fixed bonus is an option to fill up the bonus circle in 30
shots (2 leds - 1 lefts side circle and 1 right side circle - in a time lightt up)
2) To win the bonus, the player has to stop the spinning LED exactly on the position of the STOP
arrows by pressing the fire button.
Every time the LED passes the STOP arrows or when the bonus game is finished, the player will
be rewarded 10 extra tokens to play (they will be added onto the token display).
If the player is able to stop the LED exactly on the STOP position, he wins the bonus as displayed
in tickets.
3) Bonus chances “1 per playfield” means that get 1 chance to win the bonus when you have shot
at least 450 tokens. “1 per 4 playfields” means the player has to shoot at least 1800 tokens to have
a chance at winning the bonus, and so on…
4) Because winning the bonus is a random occurrence, it can also mean that the player wins the
bonus already after shooting only 60 tokens.
5) Consolation Prize: select what you want to give as consolation prize: tickets or extra tokens.
The player can win either the value of tokens or tickets when the LED stops just before or just after
the STOP sign position. The player can win 3 , 5 or 7 tickets (or tokens).
6) Only the bonus value and the bonus chances has influence on the payout.

Preparing the playfields
Each playfield has to be filled with 450 tokens
Each hopper has to be filled with 250 tokens
The Ticket Circus is delivered with 6 bags of 1000 tokens each. So take out 700 tokens from each bag
and keep the other 300 as extra inside the cabinet per playfield.
1. Divide the 450 tokens over the two decks.
+ Fill each playfield manually with tags according to
the selected “Playfield configuration”. ( see Page 18)
2. Insert 250 tokens in the hopper.
Before the machine is ready to be played, you need to
shoot app. 500 tokens first and then restart the
game and counters under “Payout settings” in the
EMOS client system (installed on the tablet).

Number of tags
The number of prize tags of each color you need to put on your playfields, is determined by the
configuration of your playfield, see “Playfield settings” (page 18 )

Payout –general information
Set your ticket value
Depending on the price of 1 ticket, you can setup the machine to a payout you prefer and an average
quantity of winning tickets for 1 euro.
Recommended payout percentage = 30%
Price for 1 Ticket = 0.005 €
Machine should give 60 tickets for 1 €

Control the Payout in variable bonus
After this selection the payout percentage will change automatically.
This is calculated in combination with the following 5 settings:

Token Price
Bonus Game Settings
Mercy Tickets
Playfield Configuration
After changing these 5 settings the machine will give you a theoretical indication of the “Payout
Percentage”, shown on top in “Payout settings” (page 15).
The theoretical payout is divided in 2 different percentages that make the sum of the Total payout
After +/- 1000 € money in, you should evaluate your Ticket Circus earnings by checking the payout
percentage under “Accounts” (page 32).
If the payout percentage is too high, you can either:
1. decrease the start bonus/bonus step under “Bonus settings” (page 16)
2. choose a lower “Playfield configuration” (page 18)
If the payout percentage is too low, you can either:
1. increase the start bonus/bonus step under “Bonus settings” (page 16)
2. choose a higher “Playfield configuration” (page 18)
Control the Payout in fixed bonus
After this selection the payout percentage will change automatically.
This is calculated in combination with the following 5 settings:

Playfield Configuration
After changing these 5 settings the machine will give you a theoretical indication of the “Payout
Percentage”, shown on top in “Payout settings” (page 17).
The theoretical payout is divided in 2 different percentages that make the sum of the Total payout
After +/- 1000 € money in, you should evaluate your Ticket Circus earnings by checking the payout
percentage under “Accounts” (page 30).
If the payout percentage is too high, you can either:
1. decrease the bonus value under “Bonus game settings” (page 19)
2. change ‘ bonus chances ‘ to more playfields.
3. choose a lower “Playfield configuration” (page 21)
If the payout percentage is too low, you can either:
1. increase the bonus value under “Bonus game settings” (page 19)
2. change ‘ bonus chances ‘ to less playfields.
3. choose a higher “Playfield configuration” (page 21)
Do note that all of the above settings have influence on the payout percentage.

Starting up the EMOS system
When Ticket Circus is fully booted after powering up, you can start the “Emos Client“ program on your
tablet by pressing the icon.
Select your machine to make new settings or change the payout.
If no machine is in the list you can follow the instructions in your “ Emos Client “ program to add a new
machine. The number after the machine is the number on the EMOS elevator controller . Check
number if this the one you want to setup or change.
Attention!
You can connect more than 1 machine to the EMOS service. Therefore, always make sure you
select the correct machine you want to set!

Most redemption machines work with a fixed game price to have more control on the payout
percentage.
A fixed game price will have as result that the set “payout percentage” will be approximately the
“Effective Percentage” (Money in / Tickets out).
If you work with one or more bonus levels the effective percentage can be slightly higher as set
percentage.
