PREFACE
Thank you for purchasing a new Ticket Circus amusement machine equipped with the EMOS technology. This
manual is intended for the operator and installer. The manual contains all the information you need to install
and use your Ticket Circus amusement machine. Furthermore, the manual contains instructions for preventing
any accidents while the machine is running. Read this information carefully in order to understand the various
possibilities and uses of this machine.
STORING THE MANUAL
The operator (user) and service manual is a part of your product. Store the manual in the immediate vicinity of
the machine. Always present a copy of the manual to operators as they work with the Ticket Circus.

The English language version is the original version. This language version of the manual is verified by the
manufacturer. All other language versions are translations of the original English language version.

INTRODUCTION
The Ticket Circus is an amusement machine which, for instance, can be found in amusement arcades.
The player’s objective is to win as many tickets as possible by pushing prize tags over the edge. For this
purpose, there are two devices at his disposal, i.e. a joystick and the (RAPID) FIRE button.
The joystick allows the player to move the token arm sideways in order to select the most favourable
position in the playfield.
The RAPID FIRE button allows the player to launch tokens. When he/she presses the button once, one
token will be launched. When he continuously presses this button, more tokens will be launched.
A player will receive a number of tokens, indicated on the central display, after having paid a certain amount. In
order to start a game, you have to insert coins, bills or swipe your payment card. When performing well, a
player will be rewarded with tickets, i.e. the only pay-out method of the machine.
A contactless payment system is not installed by default. Elaut can provide a cable to
connect any card system allowing contactless payments to be made.
The Ticket Circus works with a closed loop system, which implies that the tokens and prize tags will not leave
the machine. A built-in lift will automatically transport all tags (fallen from the playfield) from the Load items
level (bottom position) to the Dispense level (top position) from where they are returned to the game. The
tokens will end up in a hopper, i.e. a large cone-shaped device into which the tokens are collected and from
which they can be released to re-enter the playfield.
The Ticket Circus can be purchased with either a variable or a fixed bonus game. It is not possible to combine
both bonus games in one machine.
Information about the functionality of the system can be displayed on a tablet (equipped with the EMOS Client
software) running on an Android OS (Apple IOS & Windows OS are not supported), provided the machine is
linked to a local area network. Elaut can supply a tablet in combination with a wireless router in order to view
machine info in a stand-alone manner. The EMOS Client software can be accessed to adjust the software
settings and to activate test procedures wirelessly.
The operator cannot use any options or functions which contradict any local codes or
legal laws.

SAFETY
The machine may only be installed by a qualified person.
Machine installation must satisfy the current applicable standards.
Switch off the power supply before commencing installation or maintenance
work.
Do not open or disassemble the machine. Opening the machine can prove
hazardous and will void the warranty.
If connected, the machine or its components are powered by a 230V power
supply.
Make sure that the power cable is connected properly.
Do not plug or unplug a cable, while the machine is switched on.
Do not plug this system into a supply voltage other than indicated on the
machine label.
The operator is responsible for the proper installation and machine use. An
incorrect installation may result in product damage or shortcomings. The
warranty will become void, if the machine and/or electronic components are
damaged due to an incorrect installation.
MOVING PARTS
The upper compartment of the machine can be opened by unlocking the key-
locked glass door. When opening this door using the push lock, the mechanical
movement will be interrupted. The operator can cancel the shutdown by
resetting the door switch.
You can use this compartment to access the playfield. It is constructed in such a
way that it cannot cause physical injury. Its drive mechanics are part of the
lower compartment.
The lower compartment of the machine can be opened by unlocking the key-
locked wooden door. When opening this door using the T lock cabinet handle
(see Main components), the mechanical movement will NOT be interrupted.
Moving lift parts which might cause injury, are guarded by transparent covers.
Please switch off the machine when removing these covers, in order not to get
hurt by moving parts. When opening the key-locked glass door, new commands
will be interrupted, yet initiated requests will be handled until the end of the
envisioned cycle. When closing the key-locked glass door, a lift cycle will
explicitly be initiated. This is a practical way of solving the lift blockage due to
win items or coins from the playfield. Be careful and stand clear of moving
parts as your fingers may be injured.
THERMAL AND ELECTRICAL SAFETY
In order to minimize the risk of ignition, component temperatures are limited
to safe levels. The hottest components are resettable fuses that use thermal
PTC features. Their off-state temperature is max. 125°C.
The earth leakage current is less than 1mA.

INSTALLATION
Switch off the power supply before commencing installation.
The operator is responsible for a correct and safe installation.
UNPACKING AND INSTALLING THE AMUSEMENT MACHINE
Gather the equipment for mounting the Ticket Circus amusement machine and consult the installation
instruction before you start the installation.
Make sure there are no obstacles around the machine and that it is installed on
a flat surface.
Do not expose the machine to moisture or high humidity.
For this procedure, you must perform the following steps:
1. Remove the packing from around the machine and
place the machine on the desired location.
2. Open all cabinet and glass doors with the correct
key.
3. Lift the router antenna (on top of the machine) to
receive a good signal.
4. Connect the power cord on top or on the bottom
of the machine, this can be changed at any time.
5. Cut off and remove all tie wraps on all hoppers (1
per playfield).

6. Remove all token protectors on each playfield.
7. Unscrew the 3 screws and lift off the plate on each
playfield.
8. Plug in the LAN connector (on top of the machine)
in the LAN network or connect the optionally
provided router (see Service).

procedure.

INSTALLING THE TOP SIGNS (3/6)
Each Ticket Circus amusement machine consists of three or six playfields, all of them can be equipped with a
top sign. For the installation procedure of the top signs, you must have the following components at your
disposal:

To carry out this procedure, you must follow the below-mentioned steps:
1. Unscrew 2 parker screws on the triangular (Ticket
Circus 3 pl) or hexagonal (Ticket Circus 6 pl) top of
the machine.

2. Mount the yellow brackets (one on each side).

3. Unscrew 2 butterfly nuts completely (and pay
attention not to remove the bracket).
4. Install the led board between the two yellow
brackets.
5. Connect the led sign connector to the connector
coming out of the top. The cable should be
connected to the left side connector.
6. Slide the plexi top sign in front of the led board.
7. Fix the plexi top sign by tightening all butterfly
nuts.
8. Repeat the installation procedure for all playfields.

PREPARING THE AMUSEMENT MACHINE FOR USE
The following preparations have to be made, before the machine can be put into operation.
PREPARING THE PLAYFIELDS
The machine is delivered with 3 bags (Ticket Circus 3 pl) or 6 bags (Ticket Circus 6 pl) of 1,000 tokens each. In
fact, this comes down to 1 bag per playfield. You have to take out 700 tokens from each bag to divide them
over the playfield and hopper, i.e. a mechanical device which shoots tokens. Tokens which drop from the
playfield, will automatically be returned via an escalator hopper unit. The remaining 300 tokens can be stored
as spare tokens inside each cabinet (per playfield).
Each playfield has a bag of 1000 tokens.
Each playfield, consisting of two decks, has to be filled with 450 tokens

1. Divide the 450 tokens over the two decks, i.e.
the upper and lower deck.
2. Divide the various tags over the two decks.
There are seven prize tag IDs, all having a
different tag value (see table below). The
selected playfield configuration in the Payout
settings indicates which and how many value
tags must be used.
3. Insert 250 tokens in the hopper.
4. Shoot approximately 500 tokens in the playfield.
This is necessary to make sure the game has a
natural flow and a good spread-out playfield
ensures the players’ satisfaction.
5. Select the Restart New Game button to restart
the game and reset the counters. This function
can be found in the Payout settings from the
EMOS Client system.

Unknown tags or tags which don’t correspond with the predefined settings will result in
an error, e.g.
A flower 15 tag or a star 30 tag cannot be used in combination with a 700, 800,
900 or 1000 playfield setting. If one of these tags is detected in a playfield for
which a 700, 800, 900 or 1000 playfield setting has been defined, the ERROR
code 708 (= RFID unknown TAG detected) will be displayed.
A star 100 tag cannot be used in combination with a 500, 600, 700 or 800
playfield setting. If one of these tags is detected in a playfield for which a 500,
600, 700 or 800 playfield setting has been defined, the ERROR code 708 (= RFID
unknown TAG detected) will be displayed.
A flower 20 tag or a heart 50 tag cannot be used in combination with a 500 or
600 playfield setting. If one of these tags is detected in a playfield for which a
500 or 600 playfield setting has been defined, the ERROR code 708 (= RFID
unknown TAG detected) will be displayed.
FILLING THE TICKET DISPENSER
The ticket dispenser has been designed with features that virtually eliminate ticket jams. It requires very little
maintenance, making it a reliable and compatible component. A ticket dispenser is located at the left side of
each playfield, next to the bonus sign. The loading procedure is as follows:
1. Open the glass window of the cabinet.
2. Select the ticket width.
3. Fill the ticket dispenser to the top with tickets. If
required, use the special adaptor for fast loading.
Tip: pile up stacks of tickets by using the supplied ticket
bracket. Tape several stacks of tickets together, this
ways you have to reload less.
4. Guide the tickets through the input slot [1].
5. Press the yellow button [2].
6. Pull the first ticket out.
To clear jammed tickets, you must follow the Clearing
ticket jams procedure.

RECORDING SETTINGS IN THE EMOS CLIENT SYSTEM
The Payout settings option from the EMOS Client program allows you to set the ticket value. This value can be
expressed in any currency, e.g. the euro currency (the currency type can be changed by the operator). The
default value here is: 0.005. The ticket value is one factor which affects the total pay-out.
This value has to be your vend value of one ticket!
Other factors are:
Token price,
Bonus game settings,
Mercy tickets, and
Playfield configuration.
When, for instance, the amusement machine issues approximately 60 tickets per currency unit (e.g. 1 euro),
the total pay-out will be equal to 60 * 0.005 € = 0.30 €. The profit is: 1.00 €- 0.30 €= 0.70 €.

After editing the values of these 5 settings, the EMOS Client program will provide you with a theoretical
indication of the pay-out percentage. This percentage is displayed on the Payout settings window.
In order to evaluate your machine earnings, you must check the pay-out percentage in the Accounts menu. This
can be done after intermittent intervals, e.g. after spending 1,000 euro on this machine.

OPERATION
PLAYING THE GAME WITH A VARIABLE BONUS
Requirements: the Bonus Sign for the variable bonus mode and Software Version
1.x.x.x.
The basic bonus circle [2] consists of 60 led dots. When
the Ticket Circus amusement machine is initially started
to play a new game or when it is restarted once a bonus
has been allocated, the 3-digit display [1] will show the
bonus start value specified in the Payout settings. The
first led dot immediately to the right of the STOP position
(at the top of the basic bonus circle) will light up.
When the player presses the (RAPID) FIRE button
repeatedly (or: holds the button down for a while),
new tokens will be launched onto the playfield,
any number of tokens and value tags will move
from the upper deck to the lower deck, and from
this latter deck into a shaft onto a sorter unit.
When the player presses the (RAPID) FIRE button once,
only one new token will be launched onto the playfield.
The joystick on the control panel allows the player to
move the token arm sideways in order to select the most
favourable position in the playfield.
The sorter unit is situated under the playfield in the lower
compartment of the machine. The tokens and prize tags
are now hidden from view, until they are returned to the
playfield via elevator unit.
The tokens are collected in a hopper, i.e. a cone-
shaped device from which they can be released
to re-enter the playfield by pressing the (RAPID)
FIRE button.
The value of the prize tags is determined by an
