Basic configuration - Body style double flanged, wafer, lug and buttweld
SECTION 2 - KEY POINT OF WHEN YOU
DISASSEMBLY OR ADJUST EXHAUST
TEMPERATURE
Shut the stop valve of Thermocon valve
before you disassemble or adjust exhaust
temperature.
Disassemble or adjust exhaust temperature
after you confirm that surface temperature of
Thermocon valve is cooled down as cool as you
can touch it by your hand.
If you disassemble or adjust exhaust
temperature without enough cooling,
Thermocon valve does not operate good due to
too much expansion of bellows.

SECTION 1 - METHOD OF TEMPERATURE
CONTROL
The valve has already been pre-set for a
specific temperature. When changing the
exhaust temperature setting, please follow the
directions as enumerated below;
1. Remove the cap (1).
2. With a screwdriver, turn adjustment screw
(2) then loosen locking nut (3).
3. Gently turn adjustment-screw to the left for
a higher temperature.
Each revolution should bring up the
temperature by 20° C.
4. Gently turn adjustment-screw to the
right when lower temperature is desired.
Each revolution should lower the
temperature by 2O °C.
5. Limit of temperature adjustment is between
5O °C - 1OO °C.
6. Locking nut should be tightened properly
and adjustment screw is fixed in place
with a screw-driver when adjustment is
completed.
7. Insert gasket (13), replace the cap (1).
This completes the adjustment procedure.

SECTION 3 - TROUBLE SHOOTING
1. In case that exhaust temperature is higher
than set temperature.
a. Loose the cap and locking-nut. Turn the
adjustment screw to downward slowly.
b. If exhaust temperature is not down
after you turn the adjustment screw to
downward, please check followings.
- If disc or seat surface has scratch or not.
- If bellows u
nit is broken or not.
2. In case that exhaust temperature is lower
than set temperature.
a. Loose that cap and locking-nut. Turn the
adjustment screw to upward slowly.
b. If exhaust temperature is not up after you
turn the adjustment screw to upward,
please check followings.
- If disc or seat surface has scratch or not.
- If bellows unit is broken or not.
- If much scale is on screen or not.
When you find scratched disc or seat and
broken bellows etc., replace that parts.
And reassemble Thermocon valve. After you
confirm the point that the disc is touched with
seat slightly, open the stop valve on the steam
line. At last, adjust the exhaust temperature
according to method of temperature control.

Clean up the internal screen periodically.
When you find broken screen, replace it. At the
same time, please clean up disc and seat.
