Assembly/ User Instructions
Before you start
Pleasereadtheseinstructionscarefullybeforettingandretainforreference.Checkthepackagingandmake
surethatyouhavealltherequiredparts.Followeachassemblystepinordertopreventincorrectassembly.
Ensurethattheproductisfullyassembledasillustratedbeforeuse.
The Light pack contains:
Lighttting.
Terminalconnectionblock(s).
Fixingpack.
The following tools may be required:
Selectionofcrossandatheadscrewdrivers.
Electricdrillandassorteddrillbits.
Wirestrippers.
Electricalinsulationtape.
These assembly diagrams are intended as a guide – if in doubt consult a qualied electrician.
Care Information
Allow10minutestocoolbeforereplacing,adjustingorcleaning.
Cleanwithadryclothonly.Donotuseliquidorabrasivecleanersonthisproduct.
1. Decideonthepositionofthelighttting,orremoveexistinglighttting.Takeanoteofthepositionofthe
electricalconnections.Ensurethereisasolidmountingsurface,preferablyawoodenjoistorjoistbridgeto
supporttheweightofthelighttting.
2. Ifyouwanttoreducetheoveralllengthofthettingitisessentialthatthisisdonebeforethettingismounted
totheceilingand/orconnectedtothemainssupply.Werecommendthechainnotbemadeshorterthan
15cm.Removethechainlinksuntilthedesiredlengthisreached.Thecablemustnowbeshortenedand
theexcesscablecutandre-connectedtotheterminalblock.Feedthecableupthroughtheplasticbushand
formaloopabovetheceilingcup,movingthegureof8cablerestraintdowntheexposedcable.NOTE: The
electric cable must always be longer than the chain to prevent strain being placed on the cable. If you
are unsure about your ability to do this, we recommend you contact a qualied electrician.
3. Removethetwosidescrews(4)andretainthescrewsforre-use.Usethexingbracket(1)asatemplateto
markthescrewholes,andsecuretotheceilingwithappropriatescrewxings(2).
4. Supportyourttingandconnectthehousewiringtotheterminalblock(3)–seeexpandedwiringdetails
below.NOTE: This is a Class II tting and must not be earthed.Anylooseterminalblocks–notsecured
toceilingcup–shouldalwaysbecoveredwith2layersofgoodqualityinsulationtape.
5. Securetheceilingcupoverthebracketbyusingthescrews(4)removedinPoint2.
