This is a Class 1 product and must be earthed.
• Pleasereadtheseinstructionscarefullybeforecommencinganywork,andretainforreference.
• InstallinaccordancewithIEEWiringregulationsandcurrentBuildingRegulations.
• Topreventelectrocutionswitchoffatmainssupplybeforeinstallingormaintainingthisfitting.Ensureother
personscannotrestoretheelectricalsupplywithoutyourknowledge.Ifyouareinanydoubt,pleaseconsulta
qualifiedelectrician.
• Thislightfittingshouldbeconnectedtoacircuitwitha30mARCDfitted.
• Ifreplacinganexistingfitting,makeacarefulnoteoftheconnections.
• Thisproductcontainsnon-replaceableLEDs.IftheLEDsbecomedamagedtheunitmustbedisposed.
• Wasteelectricalproductsshouldnotbedisposedofwithhouseholdwaste.Pleaserecyclewherefacilitiesexist.

Before you start
Checkthepackagingandmakesurethatyouhavealltherequiredparts.Followeachassemblystepinorderto
preventincorrectassembly.Ensurethattheproductisfullyassembledasillustratedbeforeuse.
The Light pack contains:
Lighttting.
Terminalconnectionblock(s).
Fixingpack.
The following tools may be required:
Selectionofcrossandatheadscrewdrivers.
Electricdrillandassorteddrillbits.
Wirestrippers.
Electricalinsulationtape.
These assembly diagrams are intended as a guide – if in doubt consult a qualied electrician.
Care Information
Donotusesolventsorabrasivecleanersasthesecoulddamagethefinish.Do not clean the units with a
pressure washer.
Innormalcircumstances,stainlesssteelisveryresistanttocorrosion,butmayrequiremaintenancetopreservethe
highqualityappearance.Washtheproductwithwarmsoapywater,removingallsurfacedeposits.Rinsewithclear
water,andwithasoftcloth,wipedry.
Insomecases,surfacecorrosionmayariseafterinstallation.Thisisnormallycausedbytinyironparticlesleft
behindafterthebrushingprocesswhenfinishing.Washanddryasdetailedabove,thenwithasoftclothsoaked
withaprotectiveoil,wipeallover.
Iftheproductissubjecttoextremeenvironmentalconditionssuchasmarinelocations,industrialpollution,oracid
rain,thesemaintenanceproceduresshouldbecarriedoutaroundfourtimesayear.Forseverecorrosion,non-
abrasivecreamcleanersorproprietarystainlesssteelcleanersshouldbeusedtoremovethecorrosion.Wash,dry
andcoatwithoil,asdetailedabove.
Plasticparts-Removeandwashinwarmwaterorjustuseadampcloth.Donotuseabrasivematerialsasthese
willdamagethefinish.

• Avoidlocatinganycablesinpositionsthatwouldcauseahazard.Positioncablesandjunctionboxes(not
supplied)awayfromareaswheretheymaybeatriskfrombeingcut,trappedordamaged

Installation
• Cablesinwallsmustbeprotectedusingsuitableconduitorplastictrunking.
• Themainssupplycablemusthaveaminimumcrosssectionalareaof1.0mm²
• ThisproducthasspecialprotectionagainsttheingressofmoistureandisIP44rated.
Existingfittingsmustbecompletelyremovedbeforeinstallationofanew
product.Beforeremovingtheexistingfitting,carefully note the position of
each set of wires.
• Removemountingbox(A)fromproductbyremovingdomenuts(C)and
washers(D).Pullterminalblockoffofretainingpegs.Carefullypiercea
smallholeintherubbergasketinthecentreofthemountingboxtoallow
thecabletopassthrough.
• Threadthecablethroughthehole,ensuringthedrainholeisatthebaseof
themountingbox.
• Fixthemountingboxtothewallusingthescrewsandplugssupplied(B).
Ensurethewalliscapableofholdingtheweightoftheproduct.Takecare
toavoiddamaginganyconcealedwiringandpipes.Thecorrectfixings
shouldbeusedforbrickorcavitywalls.
• SealthescrewfixingstomaintaintheIPratingofthefitting.
Havingcorrectlyidentifiedthewiringfromyourexistinglightfitting,pullthe
wirethroughtheholeandconnecttotheconnectionblockinsidetheproduct
perFigure2.

• Theconnectionsaretight
• Noloosestrandshavebeenleftoutoftheconnectionblock.

• Ensure that the cable is not snagged and seal to maintain the IP rating of the
product.
• Fittheproductbackontothemountingboxandrefitwashers(D)anddomenuts
(C),tightendomenutstosecure.
• Replacefuseorcircuitbreakerandswitchon.Yourlightisnowreadyforuse.

• Theunitmustbeinstalledinaverticalposition,andfitted1.8-2.5mabovetheground.
• ThePIRsensorcanbeadjusted,allowingthedetectiondistancetobealteredtosuitthelocation.Thedetection
angleissetat120degrees.Thedetectiondistance"SENS"canbeadjustedupto8m.
• Thedurationthatthelampstayson,“TIME”,canbealteredfrom(10±5)seconds-(5±1)minutes.Asmalltool
mayberequiredtoadjustthecontrols.
• ThePIRwillstartactivatingwhenthelightleveldropsto10LUXandwillcontinuetoactivateuntilthelightlevel
risesto2000LUX.
• Whenadjustingthesensitivityindaylightitwillbenecessarytocoverthesensortosimulatenighttime.
