INSTRUCTION MANUAL
• Thisproductissuitableforconnectionto240V~50Hzsupply,outsideorinabathroomlocation.
• ItisrecommendedthatthislightbeinstalledbyaqualiedelectricianinaccordancewithcurrentIEEWiring
RegulationsandBuildingRegulations(PartP).
• Beforeinstallingyourlightttingalwaysswitchoffthemainssupplyandremovetheappropriatefuseor
switchofftheappropriatecircuitbreakerbeforecommencinginstallation.
• ThisisaClassItting,andmustbeconnectedtoEarth.Theterminalblocksaresuppliedaccordingto
requirementsofthetting.
• Nevertbulbsofahigherwattagethanthosespeciedonthelabel(asthesemaycauseoverheatingand
damagethetting).
• Thisproductcontainsdelicateparts.Takecareduringinstallationandmaintenancetoavoidbreakages
• Runsupplywirefroma5-ampelectricalsupplyusingdoubleinsulated3-corecableoftypeH05RN-F1.0mm2
(notsupplied)toselectedsite,ensuringitisadequatelyprotectedthroughthefulllengthofthecablerun,it
mustcomeoutoftheatsurfaceofthewallorstepsinlinewiththeentrytothetting.
• Exceptwhereinstalledinaconduitorductwhichprovidesequivalentprotectionagainstmechanicaldamage,
acableburiedinthegroundshallincorporateanearthedarmourormetalsheathorboth,suitableforuseas
aprotectiveconductor,orbeofinsulatedconcentricconstruction.Buriedcablesshallbemarkedbycable
covers or a suitable marking tape. Buried conduits and ducts shall be suitably identied. Buried cables,
conduitsandductsshallbeatasufcientdepthtoavoidbeingdamagedbyanyreasonablyforeseeable
disturbanceoftheground.
• Thislightmayalsobeinstalledin“Zones1and2andOutsideZones”ofabathroomwherewaterjetsare
notusedforcleaningpurposes.ThesezonesarereferencedinBS7671:2008“RequirementsforElectrical
Installations”,IEEWiringRegulations17thEdition.Alldimensionsmustbecheckedinconjunctionwiththe
Regulations.
• ThesupplycircuitmustbeprotectedbyanRCD.If installed in a bathroomanRCDmustbeusedORthe
casingofthelightmustbeconnectedtothe“SupplementaryEquipotentialBonding”pointsinthebathroom.
• An electrician must be consulted if in any doubt about your own competency, or meaning of “Bathroom
Zones”or“EquipotentialBonding”.
• Ifanymodicationismadeitwillinvalidatethewarrantyandmayrendertheproductunsafe.
• Iftheglassordiffuserisbrokenorcrackeditmustbereplaced,pleaseconsultyourretailer.

1. Decideonthepositionofthelighttting/orremoveexistinglighttting.Takeanoteofthepositionofthe
electricalconnections.Ensurethereisasolidmounting,preferablyabrickorblockwall.Ifthewallistimber
frameandplasterboardconstructionthenpleaseuseappropriatexingsforplasterboardorscrewdirectly
intothetimberframe.Ensurethexingcansupporttheweightofthewalllight.
2. Unscrewtheboltatthebottomofthefrontframe(1).Separatethe2partsandremovethesmallscrewinthe
frontoftheplasticcoverandunclipthiscoverfromthebottomofthelampholder.Thiswillrevealtheterminal
blockandthecableentrypointwithgrommet.
3. Ifnecessaryalteryoursupplycablepositiononthewalltomatchthedesiredlocationforthetting.Lineup
andusethebackplateasadrillingtemplate,insertplugssuppliedintotheholesinthewall.
4. Screwthebackplatetothewall(2),rstmakeasmallholeinthegrommetinthebackplate/boxandpass
thesupplycablethroughitensuringagoodseal.Siliconsealantmayberequiredtoensuretheseal.
5. Supportyourttingandconnectthehousewiringtotheterminalblock-seeextendedwiringdiagrambelow
(3).WhenyouaresureoftheconnectionswraptheTerminalBlockandoverlapthewiringbothsideswith2
layersofinsulationtape.NOTE: This is a Class I tting and must be earthed.
6. Clipthecoverbackontothebottomofthelampholderandsecurewiththesmallscrewremovedearlier.
7. Fitthebulb(4).NOTE: Never t bulbs of a higher wattage than those specied on the label (as these
may cause overheating and damage the tting).
8. Reversetheprocessof(1):Withthediffuserinplaceinthefrontframe,hooktheframeontothebackplate,
screwtheboltuprmly.
9. Turnonthepowerandtest.

Electricdrillandassorteddrillbits.
Wirestrippers.
