aqualifiedelectrician.
• Thislightfittingshouldbeconnectedtoacircuitwitha30mARCDfitted.
• Whenchangingabulb,alwaysswitchoffatthemainsandallowtheoldbulbtocoolbeforehandling.
Disposeofusedbulbscarefullyandresponsibly.Donotexceedthewattagestatedoruseadifferentshape
bulbasindicatedonthefitting.Thisproductisnotsuitablefordimming.
• Wasteelectricalproductsshouldnotbedisposedofwithhouseholdwaste.Pleaserecyclewherefacilities
exist.Checkwithyourlocalauthorityorretailerforrecyclingadvice.
ThisproductisratedatIP44.Itisnotsuitableforlocationinornearamarineorsea

Before you start
Checkthepackagingandmakesurethatyouhavealltherequiredparts.Followeachassemblystepinorder
topreventincorrectassembly.Ensurethattheproductisfullyassembledasillustratedbeforeuse.
The Light pack contains:
Lighttting.
Terminalconnectionblock(s).
Fixingpack.
The following tools may be required:
Selectionofcrossandatheadscrewdrivers.
Electricdrillandassorteddrillbits.
Wirestrippers.
Electricalinsulationtape.
These assembly diagrams are intended as a guide – if in doubt consult a qualied electrician.
Care Information
Donotusesolventsorabrasivecleaners,asthesecoulddamagethefinish.Do not clean the units with a
pressure washer.
Innormalcircumstances,stainlesssteelisveryresistanttocorrosion,butmayrequiremaintenanceto
preservethehighqualityappearance:Washtheproductwithwarmsoapywater,removingallsurface
deposits.Rinsewithclearwater,andwithasoftcloth,wipedry.
Insomecases,surfacecorrosionmayariseafterinstallation.Thisisnormallycausedbytinyironparticlesleft
behindduringproduction.Washanddryasabove,thenwipeoverwithasoftclothsoakedwithprotectiveoil.
Iftheproductissubjecttoextremeenvironmentalconditions,suchasmarinelocationsorindustrialpollution,
thesemaintenanceproceduresshouldbecarriedoutaroundfourtimesayear.Forseverecorrosion,non-
abrasivecreamcleanersorproprietarystainlesssteelcleanersshouldbeusedtoremovethecorrosionthen
treatedasabove.

Layout
• Plan the desired layout of this fitting carefully, ensuring the cables will reach the distance between the
junctionboxandthelightfitting.
• Avoidlocatinganycablesinpositionsthatwouldcauseahazard.Positioncablesandoutdoorratedjunction
boxes(notsupplied)awayfromareaswheretheymaybeatriskfrombeingcut,trappedordamaged.

• WerecommendthatyouuseH05RN-Fspecificationcable(notsupplied)whichisanoutdoorgrade,rubber
sheathedcable.Themainssupplycablemusthaveaminimumcrosssectionalareaof1.0mm²
• Cablesmustbeprotectedusingsuitableconduitorplastictrunking.
Youhavecorrectlyidentifiedthewires.
Theconnectionsaretight.
Noloosestrandshavebeenleftoutoftheconnectionblock.
Existingfittingsmustbecompletelyremovedbeforeinstallation
ofanewproduct.Beforeremovingtheexistingfitting,carefully
note the position of each set of wires.
• Removemountingbox(A)fromtheproductbyremovingdome
nuts (C) and washers (D). Pull terminal block off of retaining
pegs.Carefullypierceasmallholeintherubbergasketinthe
centreofthemountingboxtoallowthecabletopassthrough.
• Threadthecablethroughthehole,ensuringthedrainholeisat
thebaseofthemountingbox.
• Fix the mounting box to the wall using the screws and plugs
supplied(B).Ensurethewalliscapableofholdingtheweightof
theproduct.Takecaretoavoiddamaginganyconcealedwiring
andpipes.Thecorrectxingsshouldbeusedforbrickorcavity
walls.
Havingcorrectlyidentifiedthewiringfromyourexistinglight
fitting,pullthewirethroughtheholeandconnecttothe
connectionblockinsidetheproductinthefollowingway:

1. Thisfittingcontainstwosensors.ThefirstisaLuxsensorandthesecondisaPIR.
2. TheLuxsensorturnsontheLEDswhentheambientlightlevelreachesapre-determinedpoint.When
ambientlightlevelsriseabovethisthen
theLEDsswitchoff.Thissensorisnot
adjustable.
3. ThePIRsensorhasadetection
rangeofupto8masshownintheleft
diagram.Thiscanbealteredbyturning
the‘sens’screw.
4. Byturningthe‘time’screw,thetime
canbealteredbetween5secondsto5
minutesduration.
5. Youmayneedtomakefurther
adjustmentstoachieveyourideallight
levelsetting.
• Fittheproductbackontothemountingboxandrefitwashers(D)anddome
nuts(C),tightendomenutstosecure.
• Usingthesuppliedhexagonalkey,undothescrewontheundersideofthecone
shapedlid.Liftoffthelidtoaccessthelamphousing.Oncethelampischangedreviewtheaboveprocess
torefitthelid.
• Replacefuseorcircuitbreakerandswitchon.Yourlightisnowreadyforuse.
