Congratulations!
You have purchased a high-quality product. Familiarise yourself with the product
before assembly and before using it for the first time. Please read the following
assembly and operating instructions and safety notices carefully. Use the product
only as described and for the range of applications specified. Retain these
instructions for future reference. Please also pass these operating instructions
on to any future owner(s).
Intended use
This appliance is intended exclusively for the weighing of food in private house-
holds. It is not intended for commercial or industrial applications. This appliance
may only be used when fully assembled.
The manufacturer assumes no responsibility for damage caused by failure to
observe these instructions, improper use, incompetent repairs, unauthorised
modifications or for the use of non-approved replacement parts.

NOTE
► The appliance is delivered with a transport safety device.
► This device is attached with screws and washers. You do not need the
washers to assemble the appliance!

(see the section

Safety guidelines
To ensure safe operation of the appliance, follow the safety guidelines set out
below:
WARNING – RISK OF INJURY!
■ Prior to use, check the appliance for visible external damage. Do not operate an
appliance which has been damaged or dropped.
■ People who, due to their physical, intellectual or motor abilities, are incapable of
operating the appliance safely may only use the appliance under the supervision
or direction of a responsible person.
■ Do not allow children to use the appliance unless they are being supervised.
■ Ensure that you do not put your fingers between the bowl and the scale when
you are filling the bowl. Risk of crush injuries!
■ All repairs must be carried out by authorised specialist companies or by the
Customer Service department. Improper repairs can pose significant risks to the
user. They will also invalidate any warranty claim.

CAUTION – PROPERTY DAMAGE
■ Defective components must always be replaced with original replacement parts.
Compliance with safety requirements can only be guaranteed if original replace-
ment parts are used.
■ Do not allow any liquids or moisture to get into the appliance.
■ Do not place any objects on the scale when it is not in use.
■ Protect the appliance against knocks, dust, chemicals, extremes of temperature,
etc. and keep it away from sources of heat (ovens, radiators).
■ Do not press down on the weighing mechanism.
■ Do not press on the plastic cover of the weight display.
■ Do not expose the appliance to high temperatures.
■ Do not load the scale with more than 5 kg. The scale could be irreparably
damaged.
Preparation
Unpacking
1. Remove all parts of the scale and the operating instructions from the box.
2. Remove all packaging material from the scales.
3. Remove the transport safety device (white polystyrene foam):
–Unscrew the two screws 2using a slotted screwdriver. Remove the
screws and washers. Keep the screws 2. You can dispose of the washers.
–Remove the transport safety device and dispose of it.
4. Clean the appliance as described in the section "Cleaning and Care".
WARNING – RISK OF SUFFOCATION!
► Do not allow children to play with packaging materials. There is a risk of
suffocation.

Disposal of packaging materials
The packaging protects the appliance from damage during carriage. The pack-
aging materials have been selected for their environmental friendliness and ease
of disposal, and are therefore recyclable.
Returning the packaging to the materials cycle conserves raw materials and
reduces the amount of waste that is generated. Dispose of packaging materials
that are no longer needed in accordance with applicable local regulations.
NOTE
► If possible, keep the original packaging of the appliance during the warranty
period so that the appliance can be packed properly for returning in the
event of a warranty claim.
Note the labelling on the packaging and separate the packaging material
components for disposal if necessary. The packaging material is labelled with
abbreviations (a) and numbers (b) with the following meanings:
1–7: Plastics
20–22: Paper and cardboard
80–98: Composites
Installation
1. Place the scales on a level, firm surface.
2. Place the cradle 3on the two protruding pins 4. The holes for the screws 2
must be above the gaps for the pins 4.
3. Push the screws 2through the holes in the cradle 3from above and screw
them in using a Phillips screwdriver.
4. Place the weighing bowl 1on the cradle 3.
NOTE
► The appliance may only be used when fully assembled.

CAUTION – PROPERTY DAMAGE!
► Do not load the scale with more than 5 kg. The scale could be irreparably
damaged.
1. If you have not done this already: place the weighing bowl 1on the
cradle 3.
2. Turn the zero setting wheel 5until the pointer 6points to zero (5 kg).
3. Place the food in the weighing bowl 1.
The pointer 6shows the weight on the scale 7.
Cleaning and care
CAUTION – PROPERTY DAMAGE!
Do not allow any liquids to get into the scale.
This could impair the functionality of the appliance.
Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
These could damage the upper surfaces of the appliance.
1. Wipe the scales with a damp cloth. For stubborn soiling use a mild detergent
on the cloth. Wipe off any detergent residue using a cloth moistened with
clean water only.
2. Remove the weighing bowl 1from the cradle 3 and wash it in warm
water and a mild detergent. Afterwards, rinse it with plenty of clean water
to remove all detergent residues. Dry the weighing bowl 1thoroughly.
NOTE
You can also wash the bowl 1in the dishwasher!

Storage
♦ Store the scales in a clean and dry location.
♦ Do not place any objects in the weighing bowl 1during storage.
Disposal of the appliance
Dispose of the appliance in an environmentally friendly manner.
Dispose of the appliance via an approved waste disposal company or your
municipal waste disposal facility. Please observe applicable regulations.
Please contact your waste disposal facility if you are in any doubt.
Your local community or municipal authorities can provide information on how to
dispose of the worn-out product.

Dear Customer,
This appliance has a 3-year warranty valid from the date of purchase. If this
product has any faults, you, the buyer, have certain statutory rights. Your statutory
rights are not restricted in any way by the warranty described below.
Warranty conditions
The warranty period starts on the date of purchase. Please keep your receipt in a
safe place. This will be required as proof of purchase.
If any material or manufacturing fault occurs within three years of the date of
purchase of the product, we will either repair or replace the product for you or
refund the purchase price (at our discretion). This warranty service requires that
you present the defective appliance and the proof of purchase (receipt) within
the three-year warranty period, along with a brief written description of the fault
and of when it occurred.
If the defect is covered by the warranty, your product will either be repaired
or replaced by us. The repair or replacement of a product does not signify the
beginning of a new warranty period.
Warranty period and statutory claims for defects
The warranty period is not prolonged by repairs effected under the warranty.
This also applies to replaced and repaired components. Any damage and
defects present at the time of purchase must be reported immediately after un-
packing. Repairs carried out after expiry of the warranty period shall be subject
to a fee.
Scope of the warranty
This appliance has been manufactured in accordance with strict quality guide-
lines and inspected meticulously prior to delivery.
The warranty covers material faults or production faults. The warranty does not
extend to product parts subject to normal wear and tear or to fragile parts which
could be considered as consumable parts such as switches, batteries or parts
made of glass.
The warranty does not apply if the product has been damaged, improperly used
or improperly maintained. The directions in the operating instructions for the
product regarding proper use of the product are to be strictly followed. Uses and
actions that are discouraged in the operating instructions or which are warned
against must be avoided.
This product is intended solely for private use and not for commercial purposes.
The warranty shall be deemed void in cases of misuse or improper handling, use
of force and modifications/ repairs which have not been carried out by one of
our authorised Service centres.

Warranty claim procedure
To ensure quick processing of your case, please observe the following instructions:
■ Please have the till receipt and the item number (e.g. IAN12345) available as
proof of purchase.
■ You will find the item number on the type plate on the product, an engraving on
the product, on the front page of the operating instructions (below left) or on the
sticker on the rear or bottom of the product.
■ If functional or other defects occur, please contact the service department listed
either by telephone or by e-mail.
■ You can return a defective product to us free of charge to the service address
that will be provided to you. Ensure that you enclose the proof of purchase (till
receipt) and information about what the defect is and when it occurred.

Informacije o ovim uputama za uporabu

Ovom ste se kupnjom odlučili za visokovrijedan proizvod. Prije montaže i prve
uporabe upoznajte se s proizvodom. U tu svrhu pažljivo pročitajte sljedeće upute
za montažu i uporabu i sigurnosne napomene. Proizvod koristite isključivo na
opisani način i u navedenim područjima uporabe. Ove upute dobro sačuvajte.
U slučaju predaje proizvoda trećim osobama priložite i također predajte i svu
dokumentaciju.
Namjenska uporaba
Ovaj uređaj služi isključivo za vaganje namirnica u privatnim domaćinstvima.
Nije namijenjen za gospodarsku ili industrijsku uporabu. Ovaj se uređaj smije
koristiti isključivo potpuno montiran.
Proizvođač ne preuzima odgovornost za štete nastale uslijed nepoštivanja uputa,
nenamjenske uporabe uređaja, nestručno izvedenih popravaka, neautorizirano
izvršenih preinaka ili uporabe nedopuštenih zamjenskih dijelova.

NAPOMENA
► Prilikom isporuke uređaj je opremljen transportnim osiguračem. On je
pričvršćen vijcima i podložnim pločicama. Podložne pločice prilikom
montiranja uređaja nisu potrebne!
► Provjerite cjelovitost opsega isporuke i provjerite postoje li na uređaju
vidljiva oštećenja.
► U slučaju nepotpune isporuke ili štete uzrokovane nedostatnim pakiranjem,
kao i štete nastale prilikom transporta, nazovite telefon servisne službe
(vidi poglavlje
Servis ).

Sigurnosne napomene
Za sigurno rukovanje uređajem pridržavajte se sljedećih sigurnosnih napomena:
UPOZORENJE – OPASNOST OD OZLJEDA
■ Uređaj prije uporabe provjerite kako biste ustanovili eventualna vidljiva vanjska
oštećenja. Ne koristite oštećen uređaj ili uređaj koji je pao.
■ Osobe koje zbog svojih tjelesnih, duševnih ili motoričkih osobina nisu u stanju
sigurno rukovati uređajem, isti smiju koristiti isključivo pod nadzorom ili po
naputcima odgovorne druge osobe.
■ Djeci korištenje uređaja dopustite isključivo pod nadzorom.
■ Pazite da se prsti ne nalaze između zdjele i vage tijekom umetanja namirnica
u zdjelu. Opasnost od nagnječenja!
■ Popravke uređaja smiju obavljati isključivo ovlaštena stručna poduzeća ili servis za
kupce. Nestručno obavljeni popravci mogu ozbiljno ugroziti sigurnost korisnika.
Osim toga, u tom se slučaju gubi i pravo na jamstvo.

OPREZ - OŠTEĆENJE UREĐAJA
■ Neispravni dijelovi smiju se zamijeniti isključivo originalnim rezervnim dijelovima.
Samo kod takvih dijelova zajamčeno je ispunjavanje sigurnosnih zahtjeva.
■ Uređaj zaštitite od vlage i prodiranja tekućina.
■ Ne postavljajte predmete na uređaj, kada se ne koristi.
■ Zaštitite uređaj od udaraca, prašine, kemikalija, snažnih oscilacija temperature
i blizine izvora topline (peći, radijatori).
■ Ne pritišćite silom na vagu.
■ Ne pritišćite plastični pokrov pokazivača težine.
■ Uređaj ne izlažite visokim temperaturama.
■ Vagu nikada ne opterećujte s više od 5 kg. Vaga se može nepopravljivo oštetiti.
Pripreme
Raspakiranje
1. Iz kutije izvadite sve dijelove vage i upute za uporabu.
2. S vage odstranite svu ambalažu.
3. Odstranite transportni osigurač (od bijelog stiropora):
–Otpustite oba vijka 2križnim odvijačem i izvadite ih zajedno s podložnim
pločicama. Sačuvajte vijke 2. Podložne pločice možete zbrinuti.
–Skinite transportni osigurač s uređaja i zbrinite ga.
4. Očistite uređaj na način opisan u poglavlju "Čišćenje i održavanje".
UPOZORENJE - OPASNOST OD GUŠENJA!
► Djeca se ne smiju igrati ambalažom. Postoji opasnost od gušenja.

Zbrinjavanje ambalaže
Ambalaža štiti uređaj od transportnih oštećenja. Ambalažni materijali odabrani
su prema ekološkim aspektima i aspektima odlaganja i stoga se mogu reciklirati.
Povrat ambalaže u kružni tok materijala štedi sirovine i smanjuje nakupljanje
otpada. Ambalažu koja vam više nije potrebna zbrinite u skladu s važećim
lokalnim propisima.
NAPOMENA
► Po mogućnosti sačuvajte originalno pakiranje uređaja za vrijeme trajanja
jamstvenog roka, kako biste uređaj u slučaju korištenja prava na jamstvo
mogli uredno zapakirati.
Pazite na oznake na različitim materijalima ambalaže i po potrebi ih zbrinite od-
vojeno. Materijali ambalaže označeni su kraticama (a) i brojkama (b) sljedećeg
značenja:
1–7: Plastika
20–22: Papir i karton
80–98: Kompozitni materijali
Montaža
1. Vagu postavite na ravnu i čvrstu podlogu.
2. Postavite nastavak za držanje 3na dva izbočena klina 4, tako da se rupe
za vijke 2nalaze iznad utora u klinovima 4.
3. Vijke 2utaknite odozgo kroz rupe u nastavku za držanje 3i pritegnite ih
križnim odvijačem.
4. Postavite zdjelu 1na nastavak za držanje 3.
NAPOMENA
► Uređaj se smije koristiti isključivo potpuno montiran.

Vaganje namirnica
OPREZ - OŠTEĆENJE UREĐAJA
► Vagu nikada ne opterećujte s više od 5 kg. Vaga se može nepopravljivo
oštetiti.
1. Ako još niste: postavite zdjelu 1na nastavak za držanje 3.
2. Okrećite podešavanje nule 5, sve dok kazaljka 6ne pokazuje nulu (5 kg).
3. Umetnite namirnice u zdjelu 1.
Kazaljka 6pokazuje težinu na skali 7.
Čišćenje i održavanje
OPREZ - OŠTEĆENJE UREĐAJA
Pazite da tekućina ne dospije u unutrašnjost vage.
To dovodi do ometanja uređaja.
Ne koristite abrazivna sredstva ili otapala.
Ova sredstva mogu oštetiti površinu uređaja.
1. Prebrišite vagu vlažnom krpom. U slučaju tvrdokornih onečišćenja, na krpu
dodajte blago sredstvo za pranje posuđa. Ostatke sredstva za pranje posuđa
uklonite brisanjem krpom navlaženom čistom vodom.
2. Skinite zdjelu 1s nastavka za držanje 3i očistite je u toploj vodi s blagim
sredstvom za pranje posuđa. Isperite čistom vodom kako biste uklonili sve
ostatke sredstava za pranje posuđa. Osušite zdjelu 1.
NAPOMENA
Zdjelu 1također možete prati u perilici posuđa.

Čuvanje
♦ Vagu čuvajte na čistom i suhom mjestu.
♦ U zdjeli 1ne čuvajte druge predmete.
Zbrinjavanje uređaja
Uređaj zbrinite na ekološki prihvatljiv način.
Uređaj zbrinite preko autoriziranog poduzeća za zbrinjavanje ili preko Vaše
komunalne ustanove za zbrinjavanje otpada. Poštujte važeće propise. U slučaju
dvojbe obratite se mjesnom poduzeću za zbrinjavanje otpada.
O mogućnostima zbrinjavanja starih uređaja možete se raspitati u gradskom ili
općinskom poglavarstvu.
