Congratulations!
You have purchased a high-quality product. Familiarise yourself with the product
before assembly and before using it for the first time. Please read the following
assembly and operating instructions and safety notices carefully. Use the product
only as described and for the range of applications specified. Retain these
instructions for future reference. Please also pass these operating instructions
on to any future owner(s).
Intended use
This appliance is intended exclusively for the weighing of food in private house-
holds. It is not intended for commercial or industrial applications. This appliance
may only be used when fully assembled.
The manufacturer assumes no responsibility for damage caused by failure to
observe these instructions, improper use, incompetent repairs, unauthorised
modifications or for the use of non-approved replacement parts.

Safety guidelines
To ensure safe operation of the appliance, follow the safety guidelines set out
below:
WARNING – RISK OF INJURY!
■ Prior to use, check the appliance for visible external damage. Do not operate an
appliance which has been damaged or dropped.
■ People who, due to their physical, intellectual or motor abilities, are incapable of
operating the appliance safely may only use the appliance under the supervision
or direction of a responsible person.
■ Do not allow children to use the appliance unless they are being supervised.
■ Ensure that you do not put your fingers between the bowl and the scale when
you are filling the bowl. Risk of crush injuries!
■ All repairs must be carried out by authorised specialist companies or by the
Customer Service department. Improper repairs can pose significant risks to the
user. They will also invalidate any warranty claim.

CAUTION – PROPERTY DAMAGE
■ Defective components must always be replaced with original replacement parts.
Compliance with safety requirements can only be guaranteed if original replace-
ment parts are used.
■ Do not allow any liquids or moisture to get into the appliance.
■ Do not place any objects on the scale when it is not in use.
■ Protect the appliance against knocks, dust, chemicals, extremes of temperature,
etc. and keep it away from sources of heat (ovens, radiators).
■ Do not press down on the weighing mechanism.
■ Do not press on the plastic cover of the weight display.
■ Do not expose the appliance to high temperatures.
■ Do not load the scale with more than 5 kg. The scale could be irreparably
damaged.
Preparation
Unpacking
1. Remove all parts of the scale and the operating instructions from the box.
2. Remove all packing material from the scale. Remove the cable ties and the
paper from below the weighing mechanism.
3. Clean the appliance as described in the section "Cleaning and Care".
WARNING – RISK OF SUFFOCATION!
► Do not allow children to play with packaging materials. There is a risk of
suffocation.
Disposal of packaging materials
The packaging protects the appliance from damage during carriage. The pack-
aging materials have been selected for their environmental friendliness and ease
of disposal, and are therefore recyclable.
Returning the packaging to the materials cycle conserves raw materials and
reduces the amount of waste that is generated. Dispose of packaging materials
that are no longer needed in accordance with applicable local regulations.
NOTE
► If possible, keep the original packaging of the appliance during the warranty
period so that the appliance can be packed properly for returning in the
event of a warranty claim.

Installation
1. Place the scale on a flat and stable surface.
2. Remove the two screws 2from the cradle 3using a spanner and a
screwdriver.
3. Place the cradle 3on the weighing mechanism so that the holes for the
screws 2are arranged one above the other and the bent arms of the
cradle 3are pointing upwards.
4. Push the screws 2through the holes in the cradle 3and screw the nuts 4
onto them from below (see fold-out page).
5. Place the weighing bowl 1onto the cradle 3.
NOTE
► The appliance may only be used when fully assembled.
Weighing food
CAUTION – PROPERTY DAMAGE!
► Do not load the scale with more than 5 kg. The scale could be irreparably
damaged.
1. If you have not done this already: place the weighing bowl 1on the
cradle 3.
2. Turn the zero setting wheel 5until the pointer 6points to zero.
3. Place the food in the bowl 1.
The pointer 6shows the weight on the scale 7.
–Read the outer digits on the scale 7for the weight in kilograms/grams.
–Read the inner digits on the scale 7for the weight in pounds (lb)/
ounces (oz).

Cleaning and care
CAUTION – PROPERTY DAMAGE!
Do not allow any liquids to get into the scale.
This could impair the functionality of the appliance.
Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
These could damage the upper surfaces of the appliance.
1. Wipe the scales with a damp cloth. For stubborn soiling use a mild detergent
on the cloth. Wipe off any detergent residue using a cloth moistened with
clean water only.
2. Remove the weighing bowl 1from the cradle and wash it in warm water
and a mild detergent. Afterwards, rinse it with plenty of clean water to
remove all detergent residues. Dry the bowl 1thoroughly.
NOTE
► You can also wash the bowl 1in the dishwasher!
Storage
♦ Store the scales in a clean and dry location.
♦ Do not place any objects in the bowl 1during storage.
Disposal of the appliance
Dispose of the appliance in an environmentally friendly manner.
Dispose of the appliance via an approved waste disposal company or your
municipal waste disposal facility. Please observe applicable regulations.
Please contact your waste disposal facility if you are in any doubt.

Warranty and service
You are provided a 3-year warranty on this appliance, valid from the date
of purchase. This appliance has been manufactured with care and inspected
meticulously prior to delivery. Please retain your receipt as proof of purchase.
In the event of a warranty claim, please contact your Customer Service unit by
telephone. This is the only way to guarantee free return of your merchandise.
NOTE
► The warranty only covers claims for material and manufacturing defects,
not for damage sustained during carriage, components subject to wear
and tear or damage to fragile components such as switches or batteries.
This product is intended solely for private use and not for commercial purposes.
The warranty shall be deemed void in the case of misuse or improper handling,
use of force or interventions which were not carried out by one of our authorised
Service centres. Your statutory rights are not restricted by this warranty.
The warranty period is not prolonged by repairs made under the warranty.
This also applies to replaced and repaired components. Any damage or defects
present at the time of purchase must be reported immediately after unpacking,
but no later than two days after the date of purchase. Repairs carried out after
expiry of the warranty period shall be subject to charge.

Onnittelumme!
Olet ostanut laadukkaan tuotteen. Tutustu tuotteeseen, ennen kuin asennat ja
otat sen käyttöön ensimmäisen kerran. Lue seuraava asennus- ja käyttöohje sekä
turvallisuusohjeet huolellisesti läpi. Käytä tuotetta vain kuvatulla tavalla ja vain

■ Varo, etteivät sormesi jää vaakakupin ja vaa'an väliin, kun asetat punnittavat
elintarvikkeet vaakakuppiin. Puristumisvaara!
■ Korjauta laite ainoastaan valtuutetussa alan liikkeessä tai asiakashuollossa.
Virheelliset korjaukset voivat aiheuttaa huomattavan vaaran käyttäjälle.
Tällöin myös laitteen takuu raukeaa.

HUOMIO - ESINEVAHINKOJEN VAARA
■ Laitteen vialliset osat saa vaihtaa vain alkuperäisvaraosiin. Voimme taata turvalli-
suusvaatimusten täyttymisen vain näiden osien kohdalla.
■ Suojaa laitetta kosteudelta ja nesteiden pääsyltä laitteeseen.
■ Älä aseta vaakaan tavaroita silloin, kun se ei ole käytössä.
■ Suojaa laitetta iskuilta, pölyltä, kemikaaleilta, voimakkailta lämpötilan muutoksilta
ja pidä se poissa lämpölähteiden (uunien, lämpöpattereiden) läheltä.
■ Älä paina punnituslaitetta voimakkaasti.
■ Älä paina näytön muovista suojaa.
■ Älä altista laitetta korkeille lämpötiloille.
■ Älä kuormita vaakaa yli 5 kg:n painolla. Vaaka voi vaurioitua korjauskelvottomaksi.
Esivalmistelut
Purkaminen pakkauksesta
1. Poista kaikki vaa'an osat ja käyttöohje pakkauksesta.
2. Poista vaa'asta kaikki pakkausmateriaalit. Poista myös nippuside ja paperi
punnituslaitteen alta.
3. Puhdista laite luvussa "Puhdistus ja hoito" kuvatulla tavalla.
VAROITUS - TUKEHTUMISVAARA!
► Lapset eivät saa käyttää pakkausmateriaaleja leikeissään. On olemassa
tukehtumisvaara.
Pakkauksen hävittäminen
Pakkaus suojaa laitetta kuljetusvaurioilta. Pakkausmateriaalit on valittu ympäris-
töystävälliset ja jätehuoltotekniset näkökulmat huomioiden ja ne voidaan kierrättää.
Pakkauksen palauttaminen materiaalikiertoon säästää raaka-aineita ja vähentää
jätteiden syntymistä. Hävitä tarpeettomat pakkausmateriaalit paikallisten voimassa
olevien määräysten mukaisesti.
OHJE
► Säilytä alkuperäispakkaus mahdollisuuksien mukaan laitteen takuuajan,
jotta voit takuutapauksessa pakata tuotteen asianmukaisesti.

Asennus
1. Aseta vaaka tasaiselle ja kiinteälle alustalle.
2. Irrota ulommaiset ruuvit 2kannattimelta 3ruuviavaimen ja ruuvitaltan
avulla.
3. Aseta kannatin 3punnituslaitteelle niin, että ruuveille 2tarkoitetut reiät
ovat kohdakkain ja kannattimen 3kaarevat osat osoittavat ylöspäin.
4. Upota ruuvit 2yläkautta kannattimessa 3olevien reikien läpi ja kiinnitä
ne alakautta muttereilla 4(ks. kääntösivu).
5. Aseta vaakakuppi 1kannattimelle 3.
OHJE
► Laitteen käyttö on sallittua vain täydellisesti asennettuna.
Elintarvikkeiden punnitseminen
HUOMIO - AINEELLISTEN VAHINKOJEN VAARA
► Älä kuormita vaakaa yli 5 kg:n painolla. Vaaka voi vaurioitua korjauskel-
vottomaksi.
1. Aseta viimeistään nyt vaakakuppi 1kannattimelle 3.
2. Pyöritä nollauspainiketta 5, kunnes osoitin 6on nollan kohdalla.
3. Aseta elintarvikkeet vaakakuppiin 1.
Osoitin 6näyttää painon asteikolla 7.
–Voit lukea painon kilogrammoina/grammoina ulommalta asteikolta 7.
–Voit lukea painon paunoina (lb.) / unsseina (oz.) sisemmältä asteikolta 7.

Puhdistus ja hoito
HUOMIO - AINEELLISTEN VAHINKOJEN VAARA
Varmista, ettei vaakaan pääse nesteitä.
Se aiheuttaa laitteessa toimintahäiriöitä.
Älä käytä hankaavia puhdistusaineita tai liuotinaineita.
Nämä voivat vahingoittaa laitteen pintaa.
1. Pyyhi vaaka kostealla liinalla. Jos lika on pinttynyttä, lisää liinaan mietoa
pesuainetta. Poista mahdolliset astianpesuainejäämät pelkällä vedellä
kostutetulla liinalla.
2. Irrota vaakakuppi 1kannattimelta ja puhdista se lämpimässä miedossa
astianpesuainevedessä. Huuhtele sen jälkeen puhtaalla vedellä niin, että
kaikki pesuainejäämät lähtevät. Kuivaa vaakakuppi 1.
OHJE
► Voit pestä vaakakupin 1myös astianpesukoneessa.
Säilytys
♦ Säilytä vaaka puhtaassa ja kuivassa paikassa.
♦ Älä säilytä esineitä vaakakupissa 1.
Laitteen hävittäminen
Hävitä laite ympäristöystävällisesti.
Anna laite valtuutetun jätehuoltoyrityksen tai kunnallisen jätehuoltolaitoksen hä-
vitettäväksi. Noudata voimassa olevia määräyksiä. Ota epäselvissä tapauksissa
yhteyttä paikalliseen jätehuoltolaitokseen.

Takuu ja huolto
Laitteen takuu on 3 vuotta ostopäivästä. Laite on valmistettu huolella ja tarkastettu
perusteellisesti ennen toimitusta. Säilytä ostokuitti todisteeksi ostosta. Ota takuu-
tapauksessa puhelimitse yhteyttä lähimpään huoltopisteeseen. Vain näin voimme
taata, että tuotteesi toimittaminen huoltoon on maksutonta.
OHJE
► Takuu koskee ainoastaan materiaali- ja valmistusvirheitä, ei kuljetusvaurioita,
kuluvia osia tai herkästi vaurioituvien osien, kuten kytkinten tai akkujen
vaurioita.
Tuote on tarkoitettu ainoastaan yksityiskäyttöön, sitä ei saa käyttää kaupallisissa
tarkoituksissa. Laitteen vääränlainen tai asiaton käsittely, väkivallan käyttö ja muut
kuin valtuutetun huoltopisteen suorittamat korjaukset aiheuttavat takuun raukea-
misen. Tämä takuu ei rajoita kuluttajan lakisääteisiä oikeuksia. Takuukorjaus ei
