Overview
The Aero SimpleTap Cubicle Station (UACC) is a wireless Passive Infrared
(PIR) occupancy sensor and switch in a small package that is perfect for
cubicle switch station applications. The built-in toggle switch allows manual
override of the occupancy state while the Sensor of the UACC provides
automatic shut off of lighting when the area is not occupied. The station
provides wireless control of lighting, combined with simple installation and
long-term reliability.
Aero SimpleTap Cubicle Stations are powered through a USB connection to a
computer or using the included power supply. Mounted at desk level, under a
desk surface, or on a cubicle partition wall, the UACC detects motion and
transmits the occupancy to linked Aero wireless controllers.

Preparation
The SimpleTap Cubicle Station can be mounted on any surface such as a wall,
cubicle, or desk. The station should be installed in the room where the Aero
controllers are controlling the light fixtures or circuits. Consideration should be
made for locating the controllers, switches, and sensors based on the
construction materials in the space and furniture that may disrupt the
transmissions. Installation should follow local codes and standard practices.
It is recommended that stations and sensors be placed with in 50 feet (15m) of
the controller for optimal performance.
Installing the SimpleTap Cubicle Station
The SimpleTap Cubicle Station can be surface mounted using double-sided
tape, or Velcro®. Mounting hardware or tape is not supplied.
The occupancy sensor is a passive infrared (PIR) sensor and is designed for
small areas like an office or cubicle space. The sensors range is cone shaped,
6.5 feet (2m) long from the sensor and 8 feet (2.5m) in diameter. Within this
range, most motions will trigger an occupied state.

Surface Mount Using Tape or Velcro
You can use double-sided tape or Velcro to attach the station. Attaching
material is not included.
Step 1: Attach two 1.5 inch (4cm) strips of tape or Velcro to the back of the
station, ensuring they do not extend beyond the edge.
Step 2: Do one of the following:
• If using double-sided tape, remove the protective film to reveal the
sticky surface.
• If using Velcro, attach the opposite Velcro material to its mating
strips and then remove the protective film to reveal the adhesive.
Step 3: Press the station into place.
Step 4: Do one of the following:
• If using power from a computer, connect the mini B end of the USB
cable to the station and the type A end of the cable to a USB port
of a computer.
• If using the wall power supply, connect the mini-B end to the
station and the other end to a 100-240 VAC power outlet.
Linking to a Controller
After the SimpleTap Cubicle Station has been installed, it must be linked to the
correct controller. Reference the Unison Aero 902 MHz User Programming
Guide. ETC documentation is available for free download at
www.etcconnect.com.
