Overview
CueSystem Relay Interface connects to the CueSystem network to provide 120 V relay-driven outputs to
control external systems for cue indication, such as basket lights or LED tape light. Operating a CueSystem
Relay Interface requires a PC with the CueSystem PC application, a network switch, and a CueSystem desk.
Download the CueSystem PC application from etcconnect.com/cuesystem for setup and advanced
functionality.
Instructional Safeguards
Input rating: 120 VAC, 50/60 Hz, 10 A Max
Output rating: 3 A Max per circuit, 120 VAC
Note:
The CueSystem Relay Interface supports up to 10 A total connected load; more than three
output circuits cannot be loaded to 3 A at the same time. If you overload the outputs, the
input fuse will blow. To replace a blown fuse, see Input Fuse on page 4.

Installation Requirements
• Dry locations only
• 0–35°C (32–95°F) ambient temperature
• 30–90% non-condensing humidity
• The installation location must support the weight of the Relay Interface (2 kg [5.3 lb]) plus applicable
installation accessories and hardware.
Mount the Relay Interface
The CueSystem Relay Interface includes mounting hardware for four mounting options:
1. wall-mount: flat plate with slotted holes
2. pole-mount: flat mounting plate with round holes, two U-bolts, four washers, and four 3/8 inch nuts
3. C-clamp: L-shaped mounting hanger
4. desktop: four rubber feet and four M4x12 mm Phillips-head screws
The hardware also includes four M4x8 mm Phillips-head screws that can be used to install the wall-mount
plate, pole-mount plate, or C-clamp hanger.
Required Tools:
The following tools are required but not provided.
Wall-Mount: Phillips screwdriver and four each mounting bolts or screws and wall anchors
Pole-Mount: Phillips screwdriver, 9/16 inch nut driver or wrench, and pole with 50 mm (2 inch) outer
diameter
C-Clamp: Phillips screwdriver, C-clamp, and compatible wrench
Desktop: Phillips screwdriver
Wall-Mount
1. Using the Phillips screwdriver and the four
M4x8 mm screws, secure the wall-mount plate
to the back of the Relay Interface.
• The wall-mount plate has slotted holes.
2. Align the enclosure in its desired installation
location and mark, then pre-drill the four
mounting holes.
3. Install wall anchors as needed.
4. Align the driver to the mounting location and
install the mounting hardware. Secure the
hardware.

Pole-Mount
1. Using the Phillips
screwdriver and the four
M4x8 mm screws,
secure the pole-mount
plate to the back of the
enclosure.
• The pole-mount
plate has round
holes.
2. Place one U-bolt around
the pole.
3. Slide the two holes on
one end of the pole-
mount plate over the U-
bolt, install one washer
on each threaded end of the U-bolt, and install one nut on top of each washer. Tighten to secure.
4. Place the second U-bolt around the pole and slide the bolt ends through the holes on the other end
of the pole-mount plate.
5. Repeat step 3 with the second U-bolt and remaining two washers and two nuts.
C-Clamp
1. Using the Phillips screwdriver and the four M4x8 mm
screws, secure the L-shaped C-clamp hanger to the
back of the Relay Interface.
• Orient the C-clamp hanger with its bent end near
the blank side of the enclosure. Do not orient the
C-clamp hanger with the bent end near the side
with the power input, circuit breakers, and RS232,
USB, and Ethernet ports.
2. Attach a C-clamp to the C-clamp hanger.
3. Attach the Relay Interface to a pipe or other approved
mounting device.
Desktop
Install one rubber foot to each threaded hole at the corners on
the backside of the enclosure using one of the provided
M4x12 mm screws and the Phillips screwdriver.

Connections
1. Connect an Ethernet cable (not provided) between the “Ethernet” port (E in the illustration above)
and the network switch.
2. Plug the provided IEC power cable into the IEC receptacle (A in the illustration above).
3. Plug loads into the 120 V Edison sockets (F in the illustration above, four on each side).
4. Plug the power input cable into a 120 VAC 50/60 Hz mains power source.
Relay Operation
Use the CueSystem PC application with a CueSystem desk to enable and disable the relays. There are eight
relay LEDs on the front of the enclosure, one for each circuit (see G in the illustration above). An illuminated
green LED means the relay is on.
Circuit Breakers
The circuit breakers (B in the illustration above) will trip if the current drawn by the load exceeds 3 A. Unplug
the load from the relay box and push the circuit breaker button in to reset a tripped output.
Input Fuse
If you overload the relay interface, the 10 A fuse in the input power socket (A in the illustration above) will
blow. When the input fuse is blown, the LEDs near the Ethernet input (E in the illustration above) will not
display any activity and the relay interface outputs will not function.
To replace the fuse:
1. Disconnect the input power cable.
2. Remove the fuseholder using a small flatblade screwdriver.
3. Replace the fuse with a 10 A type T 5x20 mm 250 V fuse.
Note:
The CueSystem Relay Interface supports up to 10 A total connected load; more than three
