It is our wish is to accompany your enthusiasm for wine throughout the years… To do so, EuroCave puts all of its know-
how into action to bring together the 6 essential factors in optimal wine maturing:
Temperature:
The two worst enemies of your wine are extreme temperatures and sudden fluctuations in temperature. A constant
temperature of 10° to 14°C (50 to 57°F) is considered to be ideal for your wine to reach its peak.
Humidity:
This is an essential factor,enabling corks to retain their sealing qualities. The humidity rate must be higher than 50%
(ideally between 60 and 75 %).
Darkness:
Light, and more especially its ultra-violet component, will rapidly prove damaging to your wine by irreversible oxidation
of its tannins. For this reason we strongly advise that wines be stored in the dark, far from U.V. light.
Lack of vibration:
Vibration disturbs the slow process of your wine’s biochemical evolution, and is often fatal for the finest wines.
Storage:
Moving bottles too often is harmful to wine preservation. Having the right type of storage,which restricts undue handling,
is essential.
Natural aeration:
A constant supply of filtered air from the exterior is indispensable in order to avoid the development of unpleasant
odours and mould.

2 - IMPORTANT SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONS
N e ver useyour wine cabinet for anything other than its specific purpose as described in this guide.
N e ver unplug thecabinet by pulling on the supply lead. Ta k e a firm
hold on the plug and pull out smoothly in a straight line from the wallsocke t .
N e ver usea split power lead or one showing signs of wear along the length.
Adamaged lead should be changed immediately.
Do not allow children to climb, s i t , stand on or hang from the cabinet shelve s . T h e y could
damage your wine cabinets, as well as badly hurting themselve s .
M a k e sure that you keep the keys alw ays out of the reach of childre n , so there is no risk
of them locking themselves in.
N . B . : For optimal safe t y, the cabinet is equipped with a two - m ovement lock. To open or close the door, you must first push and
maintain pre s s u r e while turning the key (see diagram).
DA N G E R : Risk ofchild entrap m e n t . B e f o r e you throw aw a y your old wine cabinet :
- Ta k e off the door.
- Leave the shelves in place so that children may noteasily climb inside.
N e ver damage your ap p l i a n c e ’s refrigeration unit.
The wine cabinet power lead is equipped with a standard plug for an earthed wall socket, to prevent any risk
of electrical shocks.
Have your mains socket checked by a qualified electrician, who can verify correct earthing and if necessary
bring your installation into line with Standards.
Contact your usual EuroCave dealer to change your power lead if it is damaged. It must be replaced with a
guaranteed manufacturer’s part EuroCave lead.
-The radio frequency is not harmful owing to the low power emitted. The product conforms to standard
EN6037/Ed.02 of directive RTTE 1999/5/EC (article 3) (see page 15)
-.The product has been tested and found to comply with the limits for the Class B digital device,pursuant to
part 15 of the FCC Rules. (see page 15).

3 - ELECTRICAL POWER SUPPLY
Disposal of packaging:
The packaging units used by EuroCave are entirely made of recyclable materials.
After unpacking your cabinet, take the packaging to a waste disposal centre. For the most part it will be recycled.
Recycling:A caring gesture
Electrical and electronic equipment have potentially hazardous effects on the environment and public health due to the presence of
noxious substances.
You should therefore never dispose of electrical or electronic equipment along with unsorted municipal waste.
When buying a new EuroCave product (Wine cabinet, cellar conditioner,Vin au Verre), you can entrust the recycling of your old appliance
to your EuroCave dealer.
Speak to your EuroCave dealer;he will explain all the collection and disposal resources that have been set up within the EuroCave network.
In compliance with the legal provisions covering respect and care for the environment, your wine cabinets does not contain CFC.
Power saving:
- Install your cabinet in an appropriate place (see page 7) and within the recommended temperature range.
- Keep the door open for as short a time as possible.
- Ensure that the door seal is in good condition and not damaged. If it is damaged, contact your EuroCave dealer.
N. B.:When replacing your wine cabinet, destroy the lock so that children cannot accidentally shut themselves inside.
Place unusable appliances out of use by unplugging them by cutting the power lead.
4 - CARE FOR THE ENVIRONMENT
AND POWER SAVING
Ensure that your socket is correctly earthed and that your installation is protected by
a differential circuit breaker(30 mA*).
*not valid for some countries.
Should you move to another country, check if the wine cabinet specifications comply with the country (voltage, frequency).

5 - INSTALLING YOUR WINE CABINET
-When your appliance is delivered, ensure, after unpacking, that your cabinet shows no exterior appearance defects (dents, buckling, etc.).
- Open the door and check the construction of the inside of your appliance (walls, shelves, hinges, control strip,etc.).
- In the event of a problem, contact your EuroCave dealer.
- Now move your cabinet to its chosen location. This location should:
- be open air circulation (not a closed cupboard, etc.),
- be away from any heat source,
- not be too damp (laundry room, utility,bathroom, etc.),
- have a solid and flat floor,
- have an electrical power supply (standard power socket, 16 A, with earth and differential circuit breaker, 30 mA)*.
* not valid for some countries.
- Do not place your cabinet in an area that might be flooded.
- Avoid water splashes over all or part of the back of the appliance.
- Place the drip tray on the compressor stand (you will find this in the “accessories” bag
in your cabinet), sliding it under the little outlet hose from the casing, with the deepest
part of the tank under the hose.
- Ta ke the power lead, (which you will find in the “accessories” bag in your cabinet), a n d
connect it to the connector at the bottom left of the cabinet (see diagram opposite).
- Release the power cable so that it is accessible and position your appliance,leaving a
space of 8 to 10cm between the wall and the rear of your wine cabinet.
- Release the power cable so that it does not enter into contact with any part of the appliance.
-Wait 48 h before plugging in, so that the internal fluids can settle.
- Gently tip cabinet backwards in order to adjust the front feet (by unscrewing or tightening), so as to achieve a level for
your cabinet (we recommend the use of a spirit level).
- Remove the protective elements inside your cabinet.
- Position the carbon filter,which you will find in the “accessories” bag, placing it inside the cabinet in the breather hole at
the top left (see adjoining diagram).
- Never connect several wine cabinets to a multi-socket.
N.B.:Whenever moving your cabinet, never tip by more than 45°,
And always on the lateral face on the electrical lead side.
In all cases, n e ver use the unit at the top of the back of the cabinet as a handle or
l e verage point.This unit is fragile; it could be torn off, which would prejudice the
operation of your cabinet.
Did you know?
Your wine cabinet has to be designed so that no bottle comes into contact with the back wall. If this were to
happen, the condensation on the wall could trickle over the shelves and damage the bottle labels.Incidentally,
contact with the cold wall could create a frost point, which would be harmful to your wine.
I - Generalities

5 - INSTALLING YOUR WINE CABINET

Your wine cabinet door is reversible.In this way you can change
which way it opens.
• Close the door
• Gently lay down your wine cabinet, always on the lateral face on
the electrical lead side.
• Gently remove the grommets (1-2) using a non-folding blade,see
Fig 1.
• Unscrew the three screws using a “T25” Torx wrench.
• Remove the upper hinge (4).
• Replace the pivot and the 1st plug grommet.
• Remove the lower hinge (7) and position it on the other side of
the door,see Fig. 2 et 3.
• Lift the door from the body by opening it slightly
• Position the upper hinge on the other side,see Fig. 4.
• Replace the door in line
• Put the hinge into place using the screws, so that the door is
exactly in line with the body
• Check that the seal is adhering correctly to the body (by closing
the door)
• Replace the grommets
• Put your wine cabinet back at a vertical position
• Wait 48 hours before plugging in

II - Recommendations on your wine cabinet layout
Your EuroCave wine cabinet has been designed to hold a maximum number of bottles in complete safety. We recommend that you abide by the following
suggestions in order to optimise its storage capacity.
- Please distribute your bottles as evenly as possible on the various shelves in your cabinet, in order that the weight is distributed over a wide area. Also
make sure that bottles do not touch the back or the walls of the cabinet.
- Please distribute bottles as evenly as possible throughout the height of the upper area of the wine cabinet (try not to put all your bottles either at the top,
or at the bottom).
- Be sure to follow the storage recommendations according to the type of storage shelves in your cabinet, and never pile bottles on top of each other on
a sliding shelf.
- If you have sliding shelves, it is preferable to place these at the top of the cabinet for ease of daily access.
- For the same reason, place one or two bottles of each of your various wines on the sliding shelves and keep you reserve bottles on the storage shelves.
You then only have restock the top shelves as you drink a bottle.
-When using your wine cabinet, never pull out more than one sliding shelf at a time.
When you buy your cabinet, the sliding shelves are perfectly adjusted to the interior dimensions of the appliance you have just bought. If you buy additional
sliding shelves, you may need to carry out this adjustment yourself. To do this, loosen the right or left screw (2 screws) on one of the sliders, then set to
the width required and re-tighten the screws. Repeat this operation on the other,if necessary:

1- Connection
Check that the plug is connected to a power supply (presence of correct amp fuses, functioning 30 mA*
differential circuit breaker (*not applicable to certain countries).
Make sure you wait 48H before commissioning.
Connect your wine cabinet to the mains power supply.
Open the battery cover on the back of the remote control and insert the batteries ensuring that the polarity
is correct. You will see “INIT” on the display.
After a few moments the temperature will be displayed on the remote control screen.
If this is not the case, press simultaneously on the and keys until “deg” is displayed.
Choose unit °F or °C and a keys.Then press on .
In the event that you have several Origine cabinets, select the allocated to your requirements, number of the
wine cabinet, then press on to confirm.
Select the number of the displayAFF = 2 (Second display). Press and hold down the key.
The Prg + symbol display appears whilst the data is being transferred to the wine cabinet.
If you have purchased several wine cabinets,install them one after another,making sure you carefully follow each
one’s installation stages.

IV - Modification to cabinet layout
To change the position of a storage shelf, first of all completely unload the shelf, and remove the
shelf supports taking care to re-attach them as shown opposite:
To change the position of a sliding shelf, first of all completely unload the shelf. Then lift the sliding shelf and slid it towards you whilst holding the front of
it upwards. Remove the wall slider guides, marking which is right and which is left, then reinstall them as shown below:

III - Temperature setting
Setting the temperature of your wine cabinet can only be carried out using the remote control.
• Temperature display: Displays the actual temperature inside
your wine cabinet.
Updates automatically every 10 min.
• Set button (+/SET/-): enables you to select the desired
temperature inside the cabinet.
To set the temperature of your cabinet:
• Press .
Select the temperature setting using the and buttons.
Confirm setting by pressing on for several seconds, the temperature is then displayed.
The recommended setting range for maturing is 48°F to 59°F,
The default setting is 54°F.
To operate correctly, your cabinet should be located in a room with a temperature
between 32°F and 95°F
When there has been a significant modification in set temperatures, it can take several hours for your wine cabinet to stabilise and display the desired
temperature.
With no obstructions, the command radio signal can carry up to approximately 60m.
The distance of the radio signal is reduced if you put your remote control down
on a metal support.
You can refresh the data displayed on the remote control screen at any time by giving a prolonged press on or .Automatic refreshing is
carried at approximately 10 min. intervals.
If is flashing and the control panel displays "--", you have moved out of radio signal range,move closer to the wine cabinet.
IV - Setting the wine cabinet to standby mode
You can set your wine cabinet to standby mode at any time.
To do this, give a prolonged press on the and , keys the display goes out and the wine cabinet is shut down.
To reactivate your wine cabinet, simultaneously hold down the and keys until the temperature display lights up.

V - Changing the remote control batteries
The lifespan of the LR03/AAA batteries in the remote control is estimated to be between 8 to 12
months depending on usage.
A warning light on the remote control’s display will tell you that the batteries (2x LR03/AAA)
need replacing as quickly as possible.
1 - Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the remote control.
2 - Insert the batteries ensuring correct polarity.
3 - Close the flap and your remote control is once more ready to use.
Your wine cabinet will continue to operate normally even when the remote control’s batteries are
discharged. When the batteries have been replaced, the remote control will automatically reset itself
to the previous configuration.
In the event of a power failure, your wine cabinet will switch off. If this happens, keep the wine
cabinet’s door closed and avoid opening at all costs. The system will re-boot once the power supply is re-established.
VI - Adding a second remote control for the same wine cabinet
Set up the second remote control as follows
If you wish, you can have an additional remote control for your wine cabinet, for that disconnect the cabinet and then reconnect it a few seconds.
The cabinet will also recognise your additional remote control.
If this is not the case, press simultaneously on the and keys until “deg” is displayed.
Choose unit °F or °C and a keys.Then press on .
In the event that you have several Origine cabinets, select the allocated to your re q u i r e m e n t s , number of the wine cabinet, then press on to confirm.
Select the number of the displayAFF = 2 (Second display). Press and hold down the key.
The Prg + symbol display appears whilst the data is being transferred to the wine cabinet.
Caution:A second display cannot be re- allocated in the same way as the original on the same wine cabinet.
To identify your display nu m b e r,p r ess or .“AFF” will appear with the display number for a few seconds befo re displaying the temperature again.
VII - Setting the wine cabinet Number
If you have several models of this wine cabinet, each remote control is allocated to a specific wine cabinet.
To make it easier to identify the remote controls, allocate each wine cabinet a number and enter it into the remote control program menu as follows:
If this is not the case, press simultaneously on the and keys until “deg” is displayed.
Choose unit °F or °C and a keys.Then press on .
In the event that you have several Origine cabinets, select the allocated to your re q u i r e m e n t s , number of the wine cabinet, then press on to confirm.
Select the number of the displayAFF = 2 (Second display). Press and hold down the key.
The Prg + symbol display appears whilst the data is being transferred to the wine cabinet.
If you have only one Origine cabinet, you can allocate the wine cabinet number as 0, in which case no number will appear on the screen
in temperature display mode.

Your EuroCave wine cabinet is a tried and tested, easy-to-use appliance.The following few maintenance
operations will enable your cabinet to provide you with many years of faithful service.
- Each year, you should replace the active carbon filter located in the upper breather hole of your cabinet.
Manually remove the carbon filter (see diagram opposite). You can obtain a replacement carbon filter from
your usual retailer.The replacement part should have an original manufacturer’s guarantee.
- Clean and dust the condenser (metal grid located the length of the rear wall of the cabinet) twice a year.
-When cleaning the back of the cabinet, and before moving it, make sure it has been disconnected from the
mains power supply and that there are no bottles left in the cabinet.
- Once a year completely clean the interior of your cabinet after emptying it and ensuring it disconnected
from the power supply (use water and a non abrasive cleaning product, then rinse carefully).
Check the appliance re g u l a r l y and, if you suspect that something is not functioning corre c t l y, notify your re t a i l e r.
This possible anomaly, is the best way to ensure that your wine cabinet will provide you with long and faithful
s e r v i c e .
9 - TROUBLESHOOTING
8 - EVERYDAY MAINTENANCE
In all cases, if your cabinet does not appear to be operating correctly contact your EuroCave wine cabinet retailer.
Any intervention on the refrigeration unit must be carried out by a qualified
refrigeration technician who will check the circuit is fully sealed before powering up. In
the same way, any intervention on the electrical circuit should be carried out by a qualified
electrician.
- If is flashing, you have moved out of signal range and need to be closer to the wine cabinet.
Press either on and to check the distance of your remote control’s signal.
- If the display is faulty, re-boot the remote control. To do this, remove the batteries from the remote control. Disconnect your wine cabinet from the power
supply. Re-install batteries in your remote control, ensuring correct polarity,and then re-connect the wine cabinet to the power supply. After a few moments
the temperature will be displayed on the remote control screen.
- In the event that the temperature measurement sensor is faulty,the display alternates between 0.0°C and --, and displays .
- If your remote control displays temperature that does not correspond to the one you have set: this can be due to an overload of bottles in the wine cabinet
or the set temperature having been modified significantly. It can take several hours for your wine cabinet to stabilise and display the desired temperature..
If such a variation continues, check that the wine cabinet door is fully closed and that the door’s leak proof seal is correctly seated..
Use of a glass door can change your wine cabinet’s performance in certain extreme
temperature conditions.
