
BATTERY INSTALLATION
Disposable batteries
•This radio uses three 1.5V AA (LR06) size batteries (not supplied)
•Open the battery co part ent cover on the back of the radio.
•Insert 3 batteries into the battery co part ent, observing the correct polarity.
•Replace the battery co part ent cover.
•If, over ti e, the sound or volu e beco e very weak, replace the batteries.
Use of charging crank
Unfold the crank located on the back of the radio and turn it. One inute's rotation equals approxi ately 12 inutes' light and provides power for approxi ately 8
inutes' radio listening.
Use of solar power
Place the solar radio in the sun with the solar panel facing upwards. With axi u sunshine, 12 hours' charging provides sufficient power for 5-8 inutes' radio listening.
Use of external power supply
Use the 4.5V-6V DC power input socket ( ains adapter not provided), 250 A DC. Check the polarity of the power tip .
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Tuning
•To switch the radio on, turn the volu e control until you can hear sound fro the radio, then set to the desired volu e.
•Slide the AM/FM/SW indicator to choose AM/FM/SW reception.
•Rotate the tuning dial to select the desired station.
•Stop turning when you obtain the desired frequency.
Use of aerial
The aerial ay be useful for i proved reception. You can adjust the angle and length of the aerial.
•When receiving an AM or FM station, extend the telescopic aerial and adjust its length to obtain the best reception.
•When receiving a SW station, extend the telescopic aerial and keep it in a vertical position for best reception.
