Congratulations on the purchase of your IRiS LED Star Panel!
The IRiS LED Star Panel has been designed specifically for people with special
needs and should, if used in accordance with these guidelines, offer years of
switching learning and fun!
The IRiS LED Star Panel offers endless opportunities to develop numerous skills
including color recognition, cause and effect, and many more!
The IRiS LED Star Panel is an IRiS Listener and can be controlled by any
number of IRiS Talkers.
Please ensure you read and follow these Instructions carefully before
installing or operating the unit. Please keep this manual for future
reference.
Heed all warnings on the product and within this manual. If upon receipt of this
product, the user suspects that the product is defective, and/or requires service
or repair due to malfunction or damage to the product, please contact the
manufacturer immediately. Please be aware that improper installation and/or use
or misuse of this product may result in injury, death, or adverse reactions to its
user. This product is intended to be installed and/or use by a trained
professional. Failure to comply with these precautions or with specific warnings
elsewhere in this manual violates safety standards of design, manufacture, and
intended uses of the product.

Please note: Only use the transformer supplied. Use of a different
transformer may result in damage to the product and void the warranty.
For warranty information please see separate warranty card supplied.
Getting Started
1. Place the IRiS LED Star Panel on a flat solid floor or mount securely on a
wall.
2. Connect the round XLR connector (silver connector with grey cable) from
the Low Voltage transformer to the socket on the side of the unit.
3. Connect the standard mains plug to a mains outlet.
4. The Star Panel will now illuminate and will scroll through the many colors.
5. Now it’s ready to use.
6. Decide which Talker you want to control the IRiS LED Star Panel with then
go to the Pairing section.
Pairing to IRiS Talkers
This procedure is split into 2 sections, one for those who do not have an IRiS
Master Pairer and for those who do.
Without a IRiS Master Pairer
Every IRiS Listener has a button on it called a pairing button. To get the IRiS
LED Star Panel to work with a product, first turn on the unit then decide which
IRiS Talker you want to control it with – in this example we use the IRiS Qube but
all work in the same manner.
Next find the pairing button on the side of the unit and press it. You then need to
activate the IRiS Qube within 5 seconds (in this case you would turn the Qube
over). The IRiS LED Star Panel will now change colour every time you turn the
Qube if correctly paired, If it does not then repeat the above.
With a IRiS Master Pairer
To get the IRiS LED Star Panel to work with a product, first turn the unit on then
decide which IRiS Talker you want to control it with – in this example we use the
IRiS Qube but all work in the same manner. Then find the button on the IRiS
Master Pairer that corresponds with it and press it. You then need to activate the

IRiS Qube within 5 seconds (in this case you would turn the Qube over). The
IRiS LED Star Panel will now change colour every time you turn the Qube if
correctly paired, if it does not then repeat the above.
Cleaning and Maintenance
The unit should be cleaned with a damp soft cloth. A non abrasive cleaning agent
may be used for stubborn stains. Ensure no liquid enters the base of the unit.
The unit has been designed for use by people with special needs, however this
does NOT mean it is unbreakable. You must ensure the unit is not hit with
anything and that no one pulls or pushes the unit.
Troubleshooting
Q. The unit doesn’t work.
A1. Is it switched on? If so,

A3. Have you pressed a button on the 8 Button Wireless Controller? If so,
A4. Are the batteries in the 8 Button Wireless Controller fully charged? If so,
