Congratulations on the purchase of your Superactive LED Fiber Optic Bundle!
The Superactive LED Fiber Optic Bundle has been designed specifically for
people with special needs and should, if used in accordance with these
guidelines, offer years of switching learning and fun!
The Superactive LED Fiber Optic Bundle offers endless opportunities to develop
numerous skills including color recognition, cause and effect, and many more!
It is the brightest LED Fiber Optic Lightsource currently available (at time of print)
and produces multiple shades of colors when used in calming mode.
The Superactive LED Fiber Optic Bundle comes with its own 8 button controller
which allows wireless control from a distance of up to 100 feet.
It also comprises a Safe Plastic 80” fiber optic harness with 100 stands.
Please ensure you read and follow these Instructions carefully before
operating the unit. Please keep this manual for future reference.

Getting Started
1. Connect fibre optic ‘termination’ to the front of the Superactive LED Fiber
Optic Lightsource and tighten the bolt to hold the termination in position.
2. Place the Superactive LED Fiber Optic Lightsource on a flat solid floor or
mount securely on a wall.
3. Connect the round XLR connector (silver connector with grey cable) from
the Low Voltage transformer to the socket on the back of the unit.
4. Connect the standard mains plug to a mains outlet.
5. The Fiber Optics will now illuminate and will scroll through the many
colors.
6. Insert the 4 x 1.5v AA size batteries into the wireless controller (see the
next page).
7. Press any of the colored buttons to change the color of the Fiber Optics.
Modes of operation
Superactive mode is activated by using the 8 Button Wireless Controller to
operate the Fiber Optics.
Calming mode is activated when the 8 Button Wireless Controller has been left
dormant for 5 minutes. In this mode the Fiber Optics color sequences
automatically.
Please note: Only use the transformer supplied. Use of a different
transformer may result in damage to the product and void the warranty.

Installing Batteries
IMPORTANT: BATTERY INFORMATION
Please retain this information for future reference.
Batteries should be replaced by an adult.
1. Turn the unit upside down to see the battery compartment.
2. Apply pressure to the tab at either side.
3. Remove the battery compartment drawer.

4. Fit 4 x 1.5v AA batteries into the drawer following the marks thereon.
5. Push the drawer back into the battery compartment.
6. Check to ensure it is in fully and that both drawer tabs are flush with
the battery compartment.
CAUTION:
Always follow the instructions carefully. Use only batteries specified and be
sure to insert them correctly by matching the + and – polarity markings.
Do not mix old batteries and new batteries.
Experia recommend the use of alkaline batteries.
Remove exhausted or dead batteries from the product.
Remove batteries if product is not to be played with for a long time.
Do not short circuit the supply terminals.
Should this product cause, or be affected by, local electrical interference,
move it away from other electrical equipment. Reset (switching off and back
on again or removing and re-inserting batteries) if necessary.
RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES: Do not mix these with any other types of
battery. Always remove from the product before recharging.
Recharge batteries under adult supervision.
DO NOT RECHARGE OTHER TYPES OF BATTERIES.
Cleaning and Maintenance
The unit should be cleaned with a damp soft cloth. A non abrasive cleaning agent
may be used for stubborn stains. Ensure no liquid enters the base of the unit.
The unit has been designed for use by people with special needs, however this
does NOT mean it is unbreakable. You must ensure the unit is not hit with
anything and that no one pulls or pushes the unit.
Fiber Optics should be cleaned at least weekly in a solution of warm water and
non abrasive cleaning agent (a small amount of washing up liquid should suffice).
Soak the optic in the solution and clean with a cloth before rinsing and allow this
to dry naturally. Do not place the termination (metal end of the optic) in the
solution.
This may need to be cleaned more frequently depending on the level of usage.
The Fibre Optic Sideglow should be untangled and straightened at least once a
week to ensure it is at its optimum condition.
Fiber Optic Safety

A risk assessment must be completed for each person who is to have access to
the Fiber Optics before use.
Do not allow the Fibre Optics to be put in a user’s mouth under any
circumstances.
Ensure the person using the Fibre Optics is under constant supervision.
Do not allow the Fibre Optics to be put around a person’s neck.
