If false alarms continue an additional OLAS Extender is required to cover the signal ‘black spot’. Using an
Extender will also allow you to reduce the Alert Delay and Detection Time back down to the minimum 2
seconds. Up to 2 Extenders can be used in a single OLAS system.
9. If a false alarm activates again return to step 1 and increase the Detection Time. This increases the amount of time a tag
has to reconnect silently. During this period you will not hear the Alert Delay alarm. The Alert Delay alarm will activate if
a Tag is still missing after the Alert delay period has finished.

7. You should always try to install your Guardian at least
0.5 metres from any equipment transmitting radio
signals including VHF Radios, antennas and cables.
8. If located within 0.5 metres it is possible false alarms may occur. If you
are experiencing false alarms try moving the Guardian hub away from
other electrical devices and then carry out the Guardian setup and
range test to see if the false alarms still occur.
0.75m extension leads are avaible for the Guardian control switch cable
and the Power and Signal wires.
