EXT Racing Shox FERRO USD36 Installation guide

WARNINGS
Ferro USD 36 fork is specifically designed for electric dirt-bike use. This
product is developed and designed for bike industry and must be installed
on related vehicles, including pedal assisted motorized cycles that produce
a maximum of 7 KW of power.
Any such unhautorized use may result in failure of the suspension, which
may cause a crash and result in property damage, SERIOUS INJURY or
DEATH and void warranty.

Do not modify any part of the fork, all components are precisely designed
as they are.
Always use EXT Racing Shox parts. Use of other parts or self built ones
void warranty and could cause a structural failure.
Ferro USD 36 fork contains pressurized gas. Do not open, service or
modify this product.
External visual inspection may reveal cracks or defect, if you notice them
please refer immediately to an EXT service point or EXT directly.
Following the scheduled inspection allows you to have a functional and
safe fork.
If your riding weight is more than 90kg/188lbs inspection must be more
frequent.
The product warranty is applied if product has been operated and
maintainted in accordance with recommendations in the user manual
(downloadable from the link below).
An improperly installed fork can be extremely dangerous, we recommend
to have it installed by a qualified mechanic.
Read and ensure you have understood the information in the user manual
or other technical documents related to this product before using it.
Do not exceed 300 psi/20,6 bar.

RACING USE
1. Remove the hex axle and install the front wheel through the dropout.
2. Center the axle bolt and tighten the hex axle to 10-14Nm.
3. Tighten the pinch bolts on the brake side first (left) to 8Nm.
4. Compress the fork a few times to align both legs.
5. Tighten the pinch bolts on the right side to 8Nm.
6. Assembly back the brake caliper on its mount.
AIR SIDE
Access to the air valves by removing the cover
on top of the left leg and at the bottom of the
left leg.
MAIN CHAMBER +
Defined by the
black air valve
and “+” symbol
next to it.
SECONDARY CHAMBER ++
inflation / deflation steps
It is identified by
the nickel-
colored air valve
and “++” symbol
under the left
fork leg.
1. Be sure that both chambers are deflated;
2. Adjust the proper pressure into the high
pressure ++ chamber first, indicated by the
nickel-colored air valve;
3. Adjust the proper pressure into the +
chamber, indicated by the black-colored air
valve.
4. To lower the pressure proceed in reverse
order, act first on + and then on ++.
We suggest inflating the following pressures as a starting
point:
▶Do not change the chamber
inflation order
▶++ Chamber pressure must be
always higher than the
+ chamber pressure
▶Quantity of oil to be inserted
in each outer leg: 20 ml EV68S

Tune it by turning the
nickel-colored adjuster
placed on top of the
right leg.

of the right leg.
Tune it from the red
adjuster placed on
bottom of the right leg.
+ 65 PSI / ++ 100 PSI
This is just a first step to set up your fork in a trail-mode riding. After
you’ve inflated the fork with the suggested pressure on both
chambers, you can check the SAG level achieved and adapt it
according to your weight and riding style.
Inflate or deflate the pressure in both chambers in order to change
the SAG level. Act on the + chamber to control and setup the
desired SAG level and then adjust the ++ chamber for
bottom-out protection (follow correct inflation steps).
