DONOTallowchildrenaccesstothebaeryorelectrical
componentsofthechair.
DONOTplaceanyitemsonthechargerwhilecharging.
DONOTstoreinaseverecoldenvironment.Itwilldam‐
ageanddecreasethelifeofthebaery.
Keepthebaeryawayfromfireandheatsources.
Ifthebaerybecomeshot,deformed,oremitsanodor
whilecharging,stopthechargingimmediately.
Thechargermaygetslightlywarmwhencharging,thisis
acceptable.Thechargershouldnotgetoverlyhotwhere
itisuncomfortabletothetouch,anditshouldneveremit
smokeorfire.
Thebaerycanbesafelychargedovernight.Itisequipped
withoverchargeproteconbywayofaBaeryManage‐
mentSystem(BMS).
Fullychargethebaeryincaseofstorage.Thebaeryhas
dischargecharacteriscsandmustbechargedonceevery
monthoritcouldleadtooverdischargedamage,and
ceasefunconing.Failuretodothiswillvoidwarranty.
OurLithiumBaeriesarerecyclable.Pleasediscardthem
responsiblythroughalocalrecyclingfacility.

UnlessinstructedbyanEZLiteCruiserTechnicalSupport
technician,DONOTturnonthecontrollerpoweroruse
thechairduringcharging.
Ensurethatthebaeryiscoolwhilecharging.Thecharger
maygetalilewarmwhilecharging,duetocurrentrun‐
ningthroughit.ThechargershouldnevergetHOTtothe
touch.Pleasecheckitperiodically.Failuretocheckcan
causedamagetothechairandevenstartafire.
Chargingmecanvaryfrom2to8hours,dependingon
thelevelofthebaerywhencharginghasstarted,andthe
capacityofthebaeryyouarecharging.
Thechargercanbeusedovernightsafely.
Thechargermustbedisconnectedfromthejoysckinor‐
dertooperatetheEZLiteCruiser.
Keepchargerawayfrommoistureandimpact.
ThechargerfortheEZLiteCruiseroperatesatvoltages
between100‐240VoltsACinput,meaningitwillwork
overseasinanycountrywherethewalloutletsprovide
between100to240Volts.Youwillsimplyneedto
changetheshapeofthewalloutletplugusingacommon
adaptertochangetheplugtomatchshapeoftheoutlets
forthecountryyouareusingtheEZLiteCruiserin.

ChargingtheBaery“OnBoard”
“OnBoard”chargingmeansthebaeryisconnectedto
theEZLiteCruiser’sPowerInputconnecon,tosupplythe
chairwithpower.First,Plugthebaeryintothechair.
Next,Insertthechargerintoanelectricaloutlet,whichwill
causethechargerlighttoturnon.ThelightwillbeGreen.
Lastly,InsertthechargerroundmetalpintotheJoysck.
GREENIndicatorlightmeanseitherthatthebaery
charginghasfinished,oristakingabreak**(seebelow).
It can also mean that there is no baƩery connected!
REDIndicatorlightmeansthatthebaeryischarging.
**Ifyouarepaentandwatchthebaerycharging,you
maynocethatthechargerlightwillchangefromRed
(charging)toGreen(notcharging)andshortlythereaer
backtoRed(charging)…..Green(notcharging),Red
(charging),etc.Thereasonthiswillchangemanymesis
thatthechargerisgoingthroughallofthe8cellsinthe
baerypackandchargingeachoneindividually.Please
bepaentandwaitforthechargingtobecompletedfully.
Beforedisconnecngthecharger.Disconnecngittoo
quicklyatthefirstGreenlightonthechargermaybea
false‐posiveindicaonthatcharginghascompleted,
wheninactualityithasnot!
Whenyouseethatthelightonyourchargerhasre‐
mainedGreenforatleast30minutes,thatiswhenyou
knowthebaerycharginghascompleted.

“OffBoard”chargingmeansthebaeryisNOTconnected
totheEZLiteCruiser’sPowerInputconnecon,anditis
notsupplyingthechairwithpower.
Inthisscenario,youwillfirstconnectthechargerintoan
electricaloutlet,whichwillcausethechargerlighttoturn
on.ThelightwillbeGreen.
Lastly,Insertthechargerroundmetalpintothematching
roundmetalpconnectoronyourbaery.
Thesameprinciplesforthelightsonthechargerchanging
numerousmes,asdescribedonthepreviouspagefor
“OnBoard”charging,willapplyinthisscenario.
SeethePHOTOonPage27intheQuickStartGuideSec‐
onforproperoff‐boardchargingconnecon.
ChargingTwoBaeriesAttheSameTime
ItisNOTPOSSIBLEtochargeTWOBaerieswithONE
ChargerattheSAMETIME.IfyouhaveTWObaeries
thatyou’reusingtogether,withtheDualBaeryConnect‐
or,youmustDISCONNECTthebaeriesfromtheDual
BaeryConnector,&chargeeachbaerySEPARATELY.
ThisisVERYIMPORTANT.Ifyouchargebothbaeries
withtheDualBaeryConnector,youareONLYCHARG‐
INGONEBATTERYANDMAYCAUSEAFAILUREOFYOUR
SECONDBATTERY,whichwillvoidthebaerywarranty!
YoucanchargeTwoBaeriesatthesameme,ifyou
haveasecondcharger,andyouchargethebaeriessepa‐
rately.YoucanchargeoneOnBoard,andoneOffBoard,
ORbothOffBoard(easier),onechargerperbaery.

UsingtheDualBaeryConnectorCable
YoucanconnectanduseTwobaeriesatthesameme.
Thepowerwillbedrawnfrombothbaeries.Inorderto
dothis,youmusthavepurchasedasecondbaery(your
chaironlycomeswithone)andaDualBaeryConnector.
Asdescribedonthepreviouspage(Page14),chargingtwo
baeriestogetherwiththeDualBaeryConnectorcableis
notpossible.Eachbaerymustbechargedindividually.

Fliptheredlevers(theelectromagneclocks,idenfiedinthecompo‐

ensurethatthewheelsarelockedinplace,andarenotmovingatall.
Whenthechairispoweredelectrically,thechaircannotbepushed
manually.
Aertheuserisseatedinthechair,turnonthepower.
Pushingthejoysckforwardtogoforward.
Pullingjoysckbacktogoback.
Pushingjoysckletoturnle.
Pushingjoysckrighttoturnright.
Thechairwillgofasterwhenthemagnitudeisgreater.
Releasethejoyscktostopthechair.
Pressthepoweroffbuontoshutdownthepower.
UsingintheManualMode
EnsurethatthepowerisOFF.
Fliptheredlevers(theelectromagneclocks,idenfied
inthecomponentsoftheEZLiteCruiseronpage5)on
bothoftherearwheels.Thiswillallowyoutorollthe
wheelsmanually.
Ifoneofthewheelsrollsandtheotherdoesnot,flipthe
redlevertothesameposionasthewheelthatdoesroll.
Ifneitherwheelsroll,fliptheredleverstotheopposing
posionforbothwheels.Youwillheara‘clunk’noise
whentheleverisflipped.
Iftheuseroperatesthechairwithoutassistance,the
electromagnecbrakemustbeattheengagedposion.
Otherwise,theuserwillnothavecontroloverthechair.

cancollapsewhenaempngtositonthechair.Thiscan
causedamagetothechairandalsohurttheuser.Please
ensurethatthechairisfullyunfoldedbeforesinginit.
Check,double‐checkandtriple‐checktomakesurethe
chairisunfoldedallthewayandlockedintoposion.
Ifthefrontwheelisnotintheproperposionthechair
willnotfoldghtlyandcouldcausedamage.Makesure
thefrontwheelsareinthecorrectposionbeforeclosing.
Thecableshouldbearoundarmrestinordertoavoidpull‐
ingonthejoysck.
Watchtoensurethejoysckcableisnotcaughtbetween
anymetalframepartsofthechairastheycometogether.
DONOTusethejoysckunlessyouaresinginthechair.
DONOTdisconnectanyplugsbypullingonthewire.Only
disconnectbypullingontheplugsnearthesocketstopre‐

Thebaeryneedstobechargedonceeverytwomonths,otherwiseit

Thebaeryisverysensivetohightemperatureenvironmentsandto

Whenyoureceiveyourbaery,itisalmostfullycharged!Youcanbegin
usingyourchairrightawaytotestitout.Beforedrivingitintensively,we
recommendchargingthebaerybackuptofull.
ChargingtheBaery
Thechargers(regularorSpeedy)fortheEZLiteCruiserhavearoundme‐
tallicpthatwillplugintothefrontofthejoysck.Withthisarrange‐
ment,thechargingwilloccuron‐boardthroughthejoysck,downtothe
baery.Yourbaerywillalsohaveasecondcircularroundmetallicp
connector,whichwillallowthechargertoplugintothemdirectly,allow‐
ingyoutochargethebaeryoff‐board.Seepage13fordetailsforOn‐

onebaeryOffBoard,butyouwillsllneedasecondchargertodothis.
Ifyouhaveonecharger,youcanchargeonebaeryfirst,andchargerthe
secondbaerywhenthefirstoneisdone.
RedLeversontheRearWheels
Theredleversontherearwheelscontroltheelectromagneclockand
ulmatelythebrakingsystem.TheleversmustbeENGAGEDinorderfor
youtousethechairinthepoweredmode.
Howdoyouknowiftheyareengaged?
WhenthedeviceispoweredOFF,andtheyareDISENGAGED,then
youwillbeabletorolltherearwheelsmanuallybypushingthechair.
WhenthedeviceispoweredOFFandtheyareENGAGED,youwillnot
beabletorolltherearwheelsmanually.
WhenthedeviceispoweredON,thelocksmustbeENGAGEDinorder
todriveit.Iftheyarenotengaged,thejoysckwillflashthetoplight
onthespeedseng,indicangthisfault.
BasicSeatBelt
Thebasicseatbelt,includedwithyourpurchaseforfree,islocatedinthe
zipperedcompartmentunderneaththeseat.Forhelpwithmounngthe
