smokeorfire.

 Thebaerycanbesafelychargedovernight.Itisequipped
withoverchargeproteconbywayofaBaeryManage‐
mentSystem(BMS).

 Fullychargethebaeryincaseofstorage.Thebaeryhas
dischargecharacteriscsandmustbechargedonceevery
monthoritcouldleadtooverdischargedamage,and
ceasefunconing.Failuretodothiswillvoidwarranty.


 Ensurethatthebaeryiscoolwhilecharging.Thecharger
maygetalilewarmwhilecharging,duetocurrentrun‐
ningthroughit.ThechargershouldnevergetHOTtothe
touch.Pleasecheckitperiodically.Failuretocheckcan
causedamagetothechairandevenstartafire.

 Chargingmecanvaryfrom2to8hours,dependingon
thelevelofthebaerywhencharginghasstarted,andthe
capacityofthebaeryyouarecharging.

 Thechargercanbeusedovernightsafely.

 Thechargermustbedisconnectedfromthejoysckinor‐
dertooperatetheEZLiteCruiser.

 Keepchargerawayfrommoistureandimpact.

 ThechargerfortheEZLiteCruiseroperatesatvoltages
between100‐240VoltsACinput,meaningitwillwork
overseasinanycountrywherethewalloutletsprovide

ChargingtheBaery“OnBoard”

 “OnBoard”chargingmeansthebaeryisconnectedto
theEZLiteCruiser’sPowerInputconnecon,tosupplythe
chairwithpower.First,Plugthebaeryintothechair.

 Next,Insertthechargerintoanelectricaloutlet,whichwill
causethechargerlighttoturnon.ThelightwillbeGreen.

 Lastly,InsertthechargerroundmetalpintotheJoysck.

 GREENIndicatorlightmeanseitherthatthebaery
charginghasfinished,oristakingabreak**(seebelow).
It can also mean that there is no baƩery connected!

 REDIndicatorlightmeansthatthebaeryischarging.

 **Ifyouarepaentandwatchthebaerycharging,you
maynocethatthechargerlightwillchangefromRed
(charging)toGreen(notcharging)andshortlythereaer
backtoRed(charging)…..Green(notcharging),Red
(charging),etc.Thereasonthiswillchangemanymesis
thatthechargerisgoingthroughallofthe8cellsinthe
baerypackandchargingeachoneindividually.Please
bepaentandwaitforthechargingtobecompletedfully.
Beforedisconnecngthecharger.Disconnecngittoo
quicklyatthefirstGreenlightonthechargermaybea
false‐posiveindicaonthatcharginghascompleted,
wheninactualityithasnot!

 Whenyouseethatthelightonyourchargerhasre‐
mainedGreenforatleast30minutes,thatiswhenyou
knowthebaerycharginghascompleted.



 “OffBoard”chargingmeansthebaeryisNOTconnected
totheEZLiteCruiser’sPowerInputconnecon,anditis
notsupplyingthechairwithpower.

 Inthisscenario,youwillfirstconnectthechargerintoan
electricaloutlet,whichwillcausethechargerlighttoturn
on.ThelightwillbeGreen.

 Lastly,Insertthechargerroundmetalpintothematching
roundmetalpconnectoronyourbaery.

 Thesameprinciplesforthelightsonthechargerchanging
numerousmes,asdescribedonthepreviouspagefor
“OnBoard”charging,willapplyinthisscenario.


 ItisNOTPOSSIBLEtochargeTWOBaerieswithONE
ChargerattheSAMETIME.IfyouhaveTWObaeries
thatyou’reusingtogether,withtheDualBaeryConnect‐
or,youmustDISCONNECTthebaeriesfromtheDual
BaeryConnector,&chargeeachbaerySEPARATELY.
ThisisVERYIMPORTANT.Ifyouchargebothbaeries
withtheDualBaeryConnector,youareONLYCHARG‐
INGONEBATTERYANDMAYCAUSEAFAILUREOFYOUR
SECONDBATTERY,whichwillvoidthebaerywarranty!
 YoucanchargeTwoBaeriesatthesameme,ifyou
haveasecondcharger,andyouchargethebaeriessepa‐
rately.YoucanchargeoneOnBoard,andoneOffBoard,
ORbothOffBoard(easier),onechargerperbaery.

UsingtheDualBaeryConnectorCable

 YoucanconnectanduseTwobaeriesatthesameme.
Thepowerwillbedrawnfrombothbaeries.Inorderto
dothis,youmusthavepurchasedasecondbaery(your
chaironlycomeswithone)andaDualBaeryConnector.

 Asdescribedonthepreviouspage(Page14),chargingtwo
baeriestogetherwiththeDualBaeryConnectorcableis
notpossible.Eachbaerymustbechargedindividually.


 Whenthechairispoweredelectrically,thechaircannotbepushed
manually.
 Aertheuserisseatedinthechair,turnonthepower.
 Pushingthejoysckforwardtogoforward.
 Pullingjoysckbacktogoback.
 Pushingjoysckletoturnle.
 Pushingjoysckrighttoturnright.
 Thechairwillgofasterwhenthemagnitudeisgreater.
 Releasethejoyscktostopthechair.
 Pressthepoweroffbuontoshutdownthepower.
UsingintheManualMode

 EnsurethatthepowerisOFF.
 Fliptheredlevers(theelectromagneclocks,idenfied
inthecomponentsoftheEZLiteCruiseronpage5)on
bothoftherearwheels.Thiswillallowyoutorollthe
wheelsmanually.
 Ifoneofthewheelsrollsandtheotherdoesnot,flipthe
redlevertothesameposionasthewheelthatdoesroll.
Ifneitherwheelsroll,fliptheredleverstotheopposing
posionforbothwheels.Youwillheara‘clunk’noise
whentheleverisflipped.
 Iftheuseroperatesthechairwithoutassistance,the
electromagnecbrakemustbeattheengagedposion.
Otherwise,theuserwillnothavecontroloverthechair.

Whenyoureceiveyourbaery,itisalmostfullycharged!Youcanbegin
usingyourchairrightawaytotestitout.Beforedrivingitintensively,we
recommendchargingthebaerybackuptofull.

ChargingtheBaery
Thechargers(regularorSpeedy)fortheEZLiteCruiserhavearoundme‐
tallicpthatwillplugintothefrontofthejoysck.Withthisarrange‐
ment,thechargingwilloccuron‐boardthroughthejoysck,downtothe
baery.Yourbaerywillalsohaveasecondcircularroundmetallicp
connector,whichwillallowthechargertoplugintothemdirectly,allow‐
ingyoutochargethebaeryoff‐board.Seepage13fordetailsforOn‐
Boardcharging,andpage14fordetailsforOff‐Boardcharging.

Youcannotchargetwobaeriesatthesamemeusingthedual
baeryconnector.Formoreinformaononchargingtwobaeries,see
page14.Tochargetwobaeries,theeasiestwayistohavetwochargers
andchargeeachbaeryOffBoard.OrChargeonebaeryOnBoardand
onebaeryOffBoard,butyouwillsllneedasecondchargertodothis.
Ifyouhaveonecharger,youcanchargeonebaeryfirst,andchargerthe
secondbaerywhenthefirstoneisdone.

RedLeversontheRearWheels
Theredleversontherearwheelscontroltheelectromagneclockand
ulmatelythebrakingsystem.TheleversmustbeENGAGEDinorderfor
youtousethechairinthepoweredmode.

Howdoyouknowiftheyareengaged?
 WhenthedeviceispoweredOFF,andtheyareDISENGAGED,then
youwillbeabletorolltherearwheelsmanuallybypushingthechair.
 WhenthedeviceispoweredOFFandtheyareENGAGED,youwillnot
beabletorolltherearwheelsmanually.
 WhenthedeviceispoweredON,thelocksmustbeENGAGEDinorder
todriveit.Iftheyarenotengaged,thejoysckwillflashthetoplight
onthespeedseng,indicangthisfault.

BasicSeatBelt
Thebasicseatbelt,includedwithyourpurchaseforfree,islocatedinthe
zipperedcompartmentunderneaththeseat.Forhelpwithmounngthe
