Operating Instructions
Unpacking and Unfolding of the Chair
1. Open the packaging and lift the chair out.
2. Hold the seat and pull the back cross frame and pull open. Fig. 1
3. Pull the back rearward to stretch out the upholstery. Fig. 2
4. Flip down armrests.
5. Flip up the locking pin. Fig. 3
6. Rotate the pin lever so it folds towards the rear of the chair. Fig 4
7. Push down the pin lever to lock the frame. Fig 5
8. Disengage the brake. Fig 6 (always have brake engaged while transferring people into
and out of the chair.

Folding the Chair
1. Engage the brakes.
2. Flip back the two armrests.
3. Release the locking lever. Fig 7
4. Grasp the seat frame and one push handle.
5. Fold the backrest forward. Fig 8
6. Fully collapse the chair.

Brake Operation
The brakes on the CH1045 transport chair can be
operated using the feet or hands by the caregiver.
The hand brakes are similar to a rollator or bicycle
brake and are operated by squeezing the brake lever
to engage the brake.
The foot brake is a looped bar between the wheels
that operates both brakes at the same time and can
pushed down to engage or lifted to disengage by the
caregiver using their toe.
Note: The brakes will not hold securely of the tires are
worn or damaged.
Seat Belt
The CH1045 transport chair comes equipped with a seat belt for the safety of
the rider. It is important that it be used any time the user is being transported in
the chair to prevent injury from falls out of the seat. Side release seat belts are
released by squeezing the two side of the buckle.

Pre-Use Checks
•Ensure brakes are functioning properly.
•Ensure nuts and bolts are secure, and the frame is not wobbly.
•Ensure the cushion is not damaged.
•Ensure the tires are undamaged.
•Ensure the frame is not bent or broken.
•Check the front casters and forks for proper condition.
•Do not use if anything seems unsafe or damaged.
Warnings
•Ensure the push hand grips are not loose before using the transport chair. If
loose or worn, replace.
•To avoid tipping, DO NOT attempt to reach objects if you have to move
forward in the seat.
•To avoid tipping, DO NOT attempt to reach objects if you have to
pick them up from the floor by reaching down between your
knees.
•To avoid tipping, DO NOT lean over the top of the back
upholstery to reach objects behind you, this my cause the
transport chair to tip over.
•To avoid tipping, DO NOT shift your weight or sitting position
toward the direction you are reaching.
•DO NOT use an escalator to move a transport chair between
floors. Serious bodily injury may occur.
•DO NOT sit or transfer into the transport chair unless it is fully
open.
•DO NOT climb, go up or down ramps or traverse slopes greater
than 8 degrees.
•Travel up and down slopes and inclines. DO NOT travel across
inclines.
•Use caution on slippery surfaces.
•DO NOT over tighten hardware attaching to the frame.
•This could cause damage to the frame tubing or strip the
threads.
•DO NOT stand on foot plates.
•DO NOT Stand on seat.
•DO NOT overload this transport chair. The weight capacity is 220
pounds including the user and any things they may be carrying.

Limited Warranty:
EZee Life® products carry a one-year warranty against manufacturing
defects, faulty materials and workmanship only.
Any alterations, misuse, abuse, or accidental damage voids this
warranty. EZee Life® reserves the right to replace or repair any part
that has become defective.
The warranty does not extend to consequential costs resulting from
the fault or defect of the product: freight and travel costs, loss of
earnings, or other expenses that one may incur.
Warranty is valid for the original purchaser only and the original
receipt must be presented before any warranty options are
considered. Please also be prepared to provide the date of purchase
and serial number.
