at the distance A, previously measured on the tubular
motor (Fig. 3 re. a).
5) Fit the assembled tubular motor inside the roller from
the side opposite the cover, until the crown adapter is
completely inside the roller (Fig. 4 re. a).
3.2 INSTALLATION OF THE TUBULAR MOTOR
6) Fasten the wheel adapter to the roller with a tapping
screw 4x10 fit in the previously drilled hole, like in figure 4
re. b.
7) Install the previously chosen motor support from the side
of the electric presetting (Fig. 5 re. a).

1) Fit the crown adapter (Fig. 2 re. a) in the tubular mo-
tor, until it is completely inserted in the guide on the travel
stop ring nut.
2) Fit the wheel adapter (Fig. 2 re. b) in the motor shaft
and lock it with the supplied stop. (Fig. 2 re. c).
If, in the application for roller shutters, you choose the
obstacle detection while lowering, it is necessary to fit
the obstacle detection mechanical sensor (fig. 2 re. b A)

3.3 ELECTRIC CONNECTIONS
1) Before attempting any job on the system, cut the power supply off.
2) The power mains of the automated system must be fitted with a multi-pole power switch with a switch-contact
gap of at least 3 mm.
3) For the set-up, use non-interlocked buttons or use the XTM PROG programmer.
4) Wire according to the scheme; if the motor rotates in the opposite direction do not reverse the black and
brown wires, as, at the end of the set-up, the up/down buttons are automatically matched to the correct rota-
tion direction.
5) Several remote control buttons can be connected with the same motor.
1)
Connect the wires from the motor to two buttons (NOT INTERLOCKED BY SET-UP), the black wire to the up button and
the brown wire to the down button. (Figure 6)
2) Connect the buttons with the line according to figure 6.
3) Supply the motor and press the up/down buttons to check their operation. If the motor rotates in the opposite direc-
tion do not reverse the black and brown wires, as, at the end of the set-up, the up/down buttons are automatically
matched to the correct rotation direction.

4 SET-UP
The SET-UP procedure enables to set the up/down travel stop and the correct functions for the rolling shutter to
be motor-driven by pressing suitably connected buttons (ROLLER SHUTTER MODE, UNIVERSAL AWNING MODE AND
CASSETTE AWNING MODE).
TheSET-UPprocedurecanbeinAUTOMATICmode(withtwomodes)orinMANUALmode.
The AUTOMATIC SET-UP is possible for roller shutters only.
The MANUAL SET-UPispossibleforallapplications(ROLLERSHUTTER,STANDARDAWNINGORCASSETTEAWNING).
If the set-up has not been performed or completed, the motor does not move smoothly pressing a control button but makes
a small step.
If the XTM PROG programmer is used for the set-up, pressing simultaneously the two buttons corre-
sponds to pressing the red “SET-UP” button, while the up/down buttons correspond to the buttons “L1”
and “L2”.

4.2 SET-UP FOR ROLLER SHUTTERS
The automatic set-up can be carried out exclusively if the motor is installed on roller shutters with upper mechanical
stop (example up travel stop plugs Fig. 8 re. c), with the obstacle detection mechanical sensor (Fig. 9 re. b) and
with stiff connection types between tube and roller shutter (example: anti-intrusion devices or stiff fastening belts).
If the procedure is performed the motor sets all travel stops automatically.

3) Release the button controlling the rise.
4) By controlling the rolling shutter rise and lowering, check the correct setting of the two travel stops.

4.2.1 AUTOMATIC SET-UP FOR ROLLER SHUTTERS (For roller shutters in the configuration described below only)
1) Obstacle detection while lowering. (OBSTACLE DETECTION)
(ONLY WITH MECHANICAL SENSOR FOR OBSTACLE DETECTION OR MOTOR TM35 ERO)
2) Ice detection on the rolling shutter guides or bolts while rising (ANTI_ICE)
(Modification of the detection end position, and torque can be modified during the travel - default 100%)
3) Torque reduction during the last centimetres before the travel limits, with possibility to modify it on 4 levels:
40% , 60% , 80% , 100 % (default) of rated torque. ( SOFT TOUCH )
4) After the automatic set-up, the up travel limit is lower than the mechanical stop
( This avoids useless tensioning of the rolling shutter )
5) Possibility of modifying the obstacle detection sensitivity on 10 levels and of the torque in the last centimetres before
the travel limits
6) During the set-up, the first confirmation movement occurs in the opposite direction to the last movement.
1) Detection of possible winding blocks when rising and following automatic shut-off of the motor.
2) During the set-up, the first confirmation movement occurs in the opposite direction to the last movement.
3) Torque reduction in the last centimetres before the travel limits, with possibility to modify it on 4 levels: 40% , 60% ,
80% , 100 % (default) of rated torque. ( SOFT TOUCH )
1) Search for the up travel limit at each total winding cycle. (BOX ALWAYS CLOSED)
( This function balances in a totally automatic way the awning cloth extension )
2) Torque reduction in the last centimetres before the up travel limit, with possibility to modify it on 4 levels: 40% , 60% ,
80% (default) , 100 % of rated torque. ( SOFT TOUCH )
( It enables a softer closure of the cassette, without stressing the mechanical parts and the awning cloth)
3) Cloth release after cassette closure ( RELEASE SYSTEM )
( It enables to eliminate the cloth tensioning, without having to re-open the box )
4) Detection of possible winding blocks when rising and following automatic shut-off of the motor.
5) During the set-up, the first confirmation movement occurs in the opposite direction to the last movement.
After setting the up travel limit, the motor performs N movements in both directions, to confirm the performed memory
storing of the up travel limit and of the operating mode being set :
- 1 confirmation movement in both directions = rolling shutter mode selected and up travel limit set
- 2 confirmation movements in both directions = standard awning mode selected and up travel limit set
- 3 confirmation movements in both directions = cassette awning mode selected and up travel limit set

6.3 DETECTING ICE ON THE GUIDES AND FITTED BOLTS DURING THE ROLLING SHUTTER RISE
The T-MODE motor with electronic travel limit is able to detect any
bolts fitted in the rolling shutter as well as the presence of ice on the
guides during the whole travel of the rolling shutter. These events would
prevent the normal rise of the rolling shutter, thus damaging it.
When the rolling shutter is at rest, if you send a rise signal and the rolling
shutter stays at rest for 1 second due to the presence of bolts or ice on
the guides, the motor changes to stop status.

time until the motor performs a brief movement in both directions.
9) Press the up and down push-buttons at the same time for 1 second, press them again and hold them down until 1
brief movement is performed in both directions.
10) If the motor performs three brief movements in both directions, this means that the procedure was not performed
correctly and that you are still in the advanced menu. Repeat point 9.
6.3.1 INCREASING ICE AND FITTED BOLTS DETECTION SENSITIVITY
You can increase the detection sensitivity of fitted bolts or ice in an area between the down travel limit and a
chosen point.
In this area, if the presence of ice or bolts is detected, the motor response time is of 0.2 seconds. When the motor
detects the presence of ice or bolts, it changes to stop status and, to open the rolling shutter, you must send a down
command.
