1 HEALTH & SAFETY
When servicing the Range Hood, Health & Safety issues must be considered at all times. Specific
safety issues are listed below with the appropriate icon.
Electrical Safety
Ensure the mains power has been disconnected before servicing the
Appliance.
If the mains supply is required to be on to service the Appliance, make
sure it is turned off when removing any electrical component or connection
to avoid electric shock.
Electrostatic Discharge
An anti-static strap is to be used as electrical static discharge (ESD)
protection when servicing electronic components.
Good Working practices
Ensure the work area is in a tidy and orderly condition at all times so as
not to cause a hazard while service work is being completed. Always clean
and tidy the Appliance and work area after service is completed.
Insulation test
Megger test to check insulation
Warning: short together the phase and neutral pins on the plug so not to
damage any electronic circuitry.
Sharp Metal Edges
When working around cut sheet metal edges, use appropriate gloves or
protection to eliminate the change of receiving a laceration.

5 Filters
5.1 Replacing Aluminium Filters
•
Depending on use, and at least once a month, the aluminium grease filters should
be removed and cleaned in a dishwasher or with hot soapy water.
If washed in a dishwasher, the filters should be placed in an upright position to
prevent food from falling on them.
After rinsing and drying, replace the filters by reversing the following instruction for
removal.
Note: some discolouration of the frames may occur.
• Removing the aluminium filters:
• Pull the relative catch, tilting it downwards until it
disengages from the supports.
• Reverse these instructions when refitting the filters.
5.2 Carbon Filter
Active carbon filters are disposable items designed to remove grease and odours
from cooking vapours before the air is channelled back into the kitchen. The active
carbon filters must be replaced periodically to work properly, at least once every
three months, depending on the frequency with which the wall canopy is used.
5.3 Recirculation
To recirculation your wall canopy, please purchase a recirculation kit (part no.
791820) and carbon filters (part no. 791823). The recirculation kit is required to
channel the air out through the side-vents at the top of the flue.
Note: a ducting hole is not required in the wall or ceiling if a recirculation kit is fitted.

6 Operation
6.1 Five-Button Control Panel
6.2 Using the Automatic Timer
To operate the automatic timer
• Select the fan speed.
• Press the button for two seconds until the LED light blinks.
• The timer will work for 5 minutes at the current speed and 5 minutes at each of the
lower speeds until coming to a complete stop. At the end of this time, the motor will
stop and the light will go out.
• To cancel the timer: press the timer button once and the motor will stop.

Filter cleaning alert indicator
Activates to alert of the need to clean filters and deactivated with a single press
B Timer button
The fan will operate for 15 minutes before automatically turning off
C Light button
Turns the lights ON and OFF. Press and hold button to adjust the level of light.
DPower ON/OFF
EFan speed buttons (1st, 2nd and 3rd speed)

7 Service Procedures
7.1 Removing Inner Panel
• Disconnect the mains supply to Rangehood
• Remove the aluminium filter
• Remove the 12 screws
(figure 1)
• Lift inner panel off (figure 2)
• Reassemble in reverse order
7.2 Replacing the Halogen Lamps
•
Disconnect the mains supply to Rangehood
• Allow the lamps to cool down
• Remove the aluminium filter
• Remove the inner panel (refer Section 7.1)
• Turn halogen lamp to the anticlockwise (figure 3)
• Remove halogen lamp (figure 4)
• Reassemble in reverse order
7.3 Removing Lamp Holders
•
Disconnect the mains supply to Rangehood
• Remove inner panel (refer section 7.1)
• Remove halogen lamp (refer section 7.2)
• Turn lamp holder 90°(figure 5)
• Remove lamp holder (figure 6)
• To disconnect wiring (refer section 7.7)
• Reassemble in reverse order

7.4 Removing the Touch Controller PCB
•
Disconnect the mains supply to Rangehood
• Remove inner panel (refer section 7.1)
• Remove the 2 screws holding the
controller (figure 7)
• Slide controller out (figure 8)
• Remove the 2 screws hold bracket
(figure 9)
• Remove 4 screws in the controller cover
and remove cover (figure 10)
• Slide out PCB board and disconnect
wiring harness (figure 11)
• Reassemble in reverse order

7.5 Motor Removal and Replacement
•
Disconnect the mains supply to Rangehood
• Remove the chimney covers and remove
Rangehood from wall
• Remove the lamp holder brackets by removing
the 3 screws per bracket on the rear of the
motor housing (figure 12)
• Remove the 2 screws on the rear of motor
housing (figure 13)
• Inside the motor housing remove the 4 screws
(2 on each side) holding the motor (figure 14)
• Move the motor to the left and slide the power
cord grommet out of the housing (figure 15).
The motor can now be removed from the
motor housing
• Reassemble in reverse order

7.6 Motor Disassembly
•
Remove motor from housing (refer section 7.5)
•
Remove the three screws on the end cover
(figure 16)
•
Lift motor from cover (figure 17)
• Remove the fan blade by undoing the centre
nut and slide the fan blade off the shaft (figure
18)
• The motor can now be removed from the end
cover by turning motor clockwise and lifting off
(figure 19)
• Removed the mounting bracket by removing
the two nuts (figure 20) and lifting off
•
Resemble in reverse order.

7.7 Connection Box Components and Removal
Located on the side of the motor
• To access the components in the connection
box unscrew the 4 screws indicated in figure
21 and the cover will lift off
• To remove the complete connection box
unscrew the 2 screws indicated in figure 21
and the complete box will lift off
7.8 Power Module
Replacement
Located inside the connection box
• Replace Power Module by removing the
connection box cover (figure 21)
• Transferring all wiring connections to the
replacement power module
• Remove the two screws indicated in figure
22 and lift old power module out of
connection box and refit the replacement
power module
• Refit the connection box cover
7.9 Motor Capacitor Replacement
Located in the connection box
• Replace the Motor Capacitor by removing the connection box cover (figure 21)
• Removing the screw indicated in figure 22 and transfer wiring to replacement
capacitor
• Fit the replacement capacitor
• Refit the connection box cover
