Battery Replacement

Battery Compartment Door
•Turn the base upside down and loosen the screw in the battery
compartment door with a Phillips screwdriver. Remove the battery com-
partment door.
•Remove the dead batteries and dispose of them properly.
•Insert three, size “AA” (LR6) alkaline batteries as indicated inside the
battery compartment.
Hint: We recommend using alkaline batteries for longer battery life.
•Replace the battery compartment door and tighten the screw with
a Phillips screwdriver. Do not over-tighten.
•If sounds from this toy become faint or stop, or if the conveyor belt does
not work, it's time for an adult to change the batteries!
Battery Tips
•Do not mix old and new batteries.
•Do not mix different types of batteries: alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or
rechargeable (nickel-cadmium).
•Remove the batteries during long periods of non-use. Always remove
exhausted batteries from the toy. Battery leakage and corrosion can dam-
age the toy.
• Do not dispose of batteries in a fire. The batteries may explode or leak.
•Never short circuit the battery terminals.
•Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.
•Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended in
the “Battery Replacement” instructions are to be used.
•If removable rechargeable batteries are used, they are only to be charged
under adult supervision.
•Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the toy before they
are charged.
•If you use a battery charger, it should be examined regularly for
damage to the cord, plug, enclosure and other parts. Do not use
a damaged battery charger until it has been properly repaired.
For best product performance, we suggest replacing the batteries that came with
this toy with three, new, size “AA” (LR6) alkaline batteries.

One Time Assembly
Back Panel
Label Decoration
•Align the two tabs on the bottom
of the scale with the slots in the mid-
dle, back edge of the base.
•Insert and snap the tabs on the
scale into the slots in the base.
Gently pull up on the scale to be
sure it is secure.
•Align the three tabs on the bottom of
the back panel with the three slots
just above the buttons.
•Insert and snap the tabs on the back
panel into the slots in the base.
Gently pull up on the back panel to
be sure it is secure.
One-time assembly is now complete.
•Make sure the areas where the
labels will be applied are clean
and dry.
•Apply the labels as indicated in
the illustration.
•For best results, avoid applying
the labels more than once.

Magic Eye Scanner
IMPORTANT! For best perform-
ance, be sure to use this toy in
a well-lit room.
•Pass groceries over the magic eye
scanner to hear a random “price.”
•Place any grocery item on the
scale and push down to hear a ran-
dom “weight.”
•Place any of the grocery items at the
top of the conveyor belt.
•Press and hold the conveyor belt
button. The conveyor belt vibrates
and groceries move!
•Press the register drawer button to
open the register drawer.
•Press any of the number buttons to
hear “beeps.”
