The FISHTRON e3TX Bite Alarm
instructions for operation and use dated 19.1.2018
Thank you for purchasing the Fishtron e3TX Bite Alarm. We placed an emphasis on high reliability, simplicity
and perfect design during development.
The bite alarm is now an indispensable aid in sport fishing, where it continuously monitors the movement of the line and
reports an optical and acoustic signal of the fish.
In the lower part, the bite alarm is equipped with a screw for mounting on a stand or fork, a fishing rod placed on the
upper part so that the line passes through the slit in which the reel is located. The reel rotates in the unwinding of the line
forwards and backwards, and the electronics with non-contact magnetic sensor changes this movement into electrical
impulses. The output is then an audible alarm and an optical signaling consisting of a series of four LED’s. The running
speed of the LED is dependent on the rate of the unwinding line. As well as the melody of the acoustic signaling.
The bite alarm is powered by two LR1 (LADY) batteries located under the battery cover on the back part of the product.
There is a swinger connector on the back of the device.
Function:
- multifunctional optical alarm, consisting of a number of multiple color LED’s. Indicates the unwinding rate of line,
the memory of the alarm
- acoustic alarm with amplification control
- volume and tone control - all with one rotating element (knob)
- connector for connecting LED swinger
- integrated listening remote transmitter (works with FISHTRON RX MULTI, FISHTRON RX SIX and FISHTRON
RX MINI or WRL1 and WRL2 lamps)
Acoustic alarm:
The unwinding of the line is signaled by an acoustic alarm with the ability to adjust the pitch of the tone. The tone
fluctuates with the faster motion of the line to alert the fisher for a firmer catching of the fish. The depth of the pitch is
determined by the overall pitch setting.
Optical alarm:
A clear image of the activity is provided by a number of several colored LED’s located under the transparent light. The
rate of the LED varies according to the unwinding rate of the line. The memory function is triggered after catching so that
the fisher is alerted to the catch. Due to the fact that the alarm is equipped with several colored LED’s it is possible to
change the color of the optical alarm.
Control of basic functions
On/Off:
Turn the bite alarm on and off briefly (approx. 1 sec) by pressing the button located at the bottom left. (ON-OFF button).
When you turn the device on, a high tone sounds and the LED column “runs” upwards. When the power is turned off, a
deep tone sounds and the LED column moves downwards.
Volume control:
The volume is controlled in a conventional way using the “V” rotary knob. The highest volume of sound is set to the right,
the sound is turned off to the left. This can be used, for example, if you have a remote listening connection or you if you
are fishing at night and do not want to disturb your surroundings.
Note: The volume control is digital and may not be fully linear (even) over the entire winding path – depending on the set tone.
Tone control:
The tone is set as follows:
–press the button and hold it for about 4 seconds
–one LED lights up and a tone goes off
–keep the button pressed and change the tone by turning the control knob
–the tone will change and the LED will show the current set tone. Higher tones upward, lower tones downward.
–Once you have set the required tone, release the button - the current tone is stored in the memory
Changing the color of the optical LED alarm:
To change the color of the LED alarm, press the ON-OFF button 3 times in a row; the LED color changes every time the
button is pressed. In total, we can choose from four colors (red, blue, green and purple). Save the selected color by
pressing the button for a longer time.

Battery replacement
Even if the alarm is designed with minimal consumption, which results in a long battery life, one day the batteries will
have to be replaced.
The weak battery power will be reflected by reduced LED brightness, reduced volume, and a self-timer (automatic
internal CPU protection). More noticeably you will be aware of the battery reduction in the blue LED’s, which are very
popular, but their disadvantage is the need for a higher voltage, so when the battery is dying, it decreases before the
other colors.
Two LR1 LADY power items are located under the back cover of the bite alarm, which can be ejected without pointing
the device downward. When inserting new batteries, be sure to look at the correct direction. When the battery is
polarized, the alarm will not work and may be damaged. After replacing the batteries, slide the rear cover back into
the lock.
WARNING There is a threat of danger when replacing the battery with the wrong type!
How to attain the maximum range of the kit
The range of the kit, alarm-receiver, is in an open space of several hundred meters, on flat surfaces up to 500 m. Any
terrain inequality, shore, slope, buildings, automobiles or other obstacles limit the range. If the current conditions and
fishing method allow it, the signaling device should be located at least 0.5 meters above ground (if you have a
requirement for extreme range). Take the receiver with you and keep it in a top pocket if you want to reach the maximum
range, or use the neck strap (threaded under the stainless steel rod at the top of the receiver). Do not place the receiver
or transmitter on metal objects. The transmitter and the receiver should have the antennae up. Despite the large range of
the kit, we encourage you to comply with Fishing Regulations and not leave the fishing area for a distance greater than
that permitted by the Fishing Regulations. Always verify the range at the location after installing the bite alarm.

Recycling
Information for users for disposal of electrical and electronic equipment. The symbol on the
product on its packaging or in the accompanying documentation means that used electrical or
electronic products must not be disposed of along with municipal waste. With the purpose of
properly disposing of the product, take it to designated collection points where it will be accepted free of charge.
Battery
Do not dispose of batteries in fire, do not disassemble, short circuit. Do not recharge the battery.
