Intended Use
The ProVu Video Laryngoscope (ProVu VL) is a sterile, single use portable video-enabled laryngoscope
designed for use by qualied medical professionals intended to assist with direct or indirect
laryngoscopy in routine or dicult airways. The device is connected to a ProVu Display to provide a
video stream from the distal end of the ProVu VL blade. It can be used to facilitate tracheal intubation
for patient ventilation for hospital use only and is intended for adult and paediatric patients.
Product Description
The ProVu VL is a portable, rigid, laryngoscope system designed to assist with direct and indirect
laryngoscopy in routine and dicult airways by giving a clear view of the patient’s airway using video
technology.
The device consists of a single use handle and blade with camera that connects to either a reusable
3.5” Display or reusable 8” Display according to user preference.
Precautions
-Do not use if packaging is open or damaged.
-Do not use after expiry date.
-Always check light operation to ensure sucient illumination.
-Ensure no lubricant covers the camera lens.
-Ensure the ProVu Display is securely xed to the ProVu VL handle when in use.
-If the camera view fails, use direct eye view.
-This device is not user serviceable.
-User should familiarise themselves with the camera position in relation to distal tip of blade before
use. Failure to do so may lead to harm to the patient.
Warnings & Cautions
-Do not reuse this device. Reuse may result in hazards such as, but not limited to; cross
contamination, damage to device, patient injury and / or suboptimal performance.
-No modication of the device is allowed.
-The ProVu VL should only be used by trained personnel.
-Intubation and extubation should be performed using currently accepted medical techniques.
-Apply good medical judgement when using this product.
-Do not point the light guide directly in the eye while in operation. The light output can cause severe
eye discomfort.
-Only use the ProVu VL with the ProVu accessories.
-Do not use any part of the system with other laryngoscopes.
-Do not use within Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR/MRI) environments or with other high
interference sources.
-Do not use in procedures which will involve the use of a laser beam or electro-surgical active
electrode in the immediate area of the ProVu VL.
-Do not use with a debrillator.
-Battery is non-replaceable.
-Do not attempt to charge battery whilst in use.
-Do not perform maintenance on device during use.
-Do not use if there are any unintended sharp edges on the product.
-ProVu VL contains a light source that can exceed 41˚C when used at the upper limit of its operating
temperature. Patient tissue damage can occur, if in direct contact with this light source.
Any serious incident that occurs in relation to the device should be reported to the manufacturer and
the competent authority of the Member State of the user and/or patient.
System Functions Overview
-The ProVu VL features a single-use blade and handle that connects to either the ProVu 3.5” Display,
or the ProVu 8” Display.
-Once connected the display can be tilted to obtain an optimal view (ProVu 3.5” Display only).

Video laryngoskop ProVu (ProVu VL) je sterilní, přenosný laryngoskop s videem na jedno použití,
určený k použití kvalikovanými zdravotnickými pracovníky, určený k asistenci při přímé nebo nepřímé
laryngoskopii u běžných nebo obtížných dýchacích cest. Zařízení je připojeno k displeji ProVu za
účelem poskytování video streamu z distálního konce lžíce ProVu VL. Je možno jej použít k usnadnění
tracheální intubace při ventilaci pacienta pouze v prostředí nemocnice a je určen pro dospělé i
pediatrické pacienty.
Popis produktu
ProVu VL je přenosný, pevný systém laryngoskopu, určený k asistenci při přímé nebo nepřímé
laryngoskopii u běžných nebo obtížných dýchacích cest; poskytuje zřetelné zobrazení dýchacích cest
pacienta pomocí video technologie.
Zařízení se skládá z rukojeti a lžíce na jednorázové použití s kamerou, která se připojí buď k opakovaně
použitelnému 3,5” displeji nebo k opakovaně použitelnému 8” displeji, podle toho, čemu dává uživatel
přednost.
Předběžná opatření:
-Pokud je obal otevřený nebo poškozený, nepoužívejte.
-Nepoužívejte po datu exspirace.
-Vždy zkontrolujte funkci světla, aby bylo zajištěno dostatečné osvětlení.
-Dbejte na to, aby na čočce kamery nebyl lubrikant.
-Dbejte na to, aby byl při používání displej ProVu bezpečně připojený k rukojeti ProVu VL.
-Pokud se obraz na kameře neobjeví, podívejte se přímo.
-Uživatel nemůže toto zařízení opravovat.
Výstrahy a opatření
-Toto zařízení nepoužívejte opakovaně. Opakované použití může vést k rizikům, jako je křížová
kontaminace, poškození zařízení, poranění pacienta a/nebo nedostatečný výkon, ale není omezena
pouze na ně.
-Není dovoleno toto zařízení upravovat
-Displej ProVu VS a příslušenství musí používat vyškolený personál.
-Intubace a extubace se musí provádět pomocí v současné době přijatých zdravotnických technik.
-Při používání tohoto produktu dbejte na přiměřený odborný úsudek.
-Při práci nemiřte světlovodem přímo do oka. Světelný výkon může způsobit v oku vážné potíže.
-ProVu VL používejte pouze s příslušenstvím ProVu
-Žádnou část systému nepoužívejte s jinými laryngoskopy.
-Nepoužívejte v blízkosti magnetické rezonance MR/MRI ani s jinými zdroji rušení.
-Nepoužívejte při postupech, při nichž se používá laserový paprsek nebo chirurgická aktivní
elektroda v bezprostřední blízkosti ProVu VL.
-Nepoužívejte s debrilátorem.
-Baterii není možno vyměňovat.
-Nepokoušejte se baterii nabíjet během používání
-Během používání neprovádějte údržbu zařízení.
-Nepoužívejte, pokud má produkt neúmyslně vzniklé ostré okraje.
-ProVu VL obsahuje zdroj světla, který při používání může přesáhnout teplotu 41˚C, pokud se
používá v horní hranici provozní teploty. Pokud se pacient dostane do přímého kontaktu s tímto
zdrojem světla, může dojít k poškození tkáně pacienta.
-Veškeré závažné události, k nimž dojde v souvislosti se zařízením, se musí hlásit výrobci a
kompetentním úřadům členského státu uživatele a/nebo pacienta.
Přehled funkcí systému
-ProVu VL obsahuje lžíci a rukojeť na jedno použití, které se připojí k displeji ProVu 3,5” NEBO
DISPLEJI ProVu 8”.
-Jakmile je připojen, je možno displej naklánět, abyste získali optimální pohled(pouze displej ProVu

Instructions for Use
1. Following the guidelines set out in the ProVu 3.5” Display operating manual, (IP0000-048), or
ProVu 8” Display operating manual (IP0000-197), ensure that there is enough charge to carry out
the procedure and that the Display is ready for use.
2. Securely connect the ProVu VL Handle and Blade to the ProVu Display selected as shown in Figures
1A and 2.
3. Check that the ProVu VL Display screen shows a live image from the camera with clarity and proper
orientation.*
4. Use currently accepted medical techniques for intubation, when using
the video stream on the ProVu Display as a guide for the intubation.
If space is restricted, the display can be tilted when directly connected to the ProVu Handle and
Blade, as shown in Figure 1B.
5. With the ProVu VL system, extubate the patient using currently accepted medical techniques.
After Use
1. After use disconnect the ProVu VL Handle and blade from the ProVu Display.
2. Dispose of the single-use ProVu VL Handle and blade in accordance with local policies and / or as
advised by your local healthcare provider.
3. Follow the cleaning guidelines set out in the ProVu 3.5” Display operating manual (IP0000-048) or
ProVu 8” Display operating manual (IP0000-197) for the reusable Display.

Doelmatig gebruik
De ProVu Video Laryngoscope (ProVu VL) is een steriele, draagbare laryngoscoop voor eenmalig
gebruik die is ontworpen voor gebruik door gekwaliceerde medische professionals, bedoeld om te
assisteren bij routinematige directe of indirecte laryngoscopie of bij belaste luchtwegen. Het apparaat
is aangesloten op een ProVu display om een videostream vanaf het distale uiteinde van het ProVu VL
blad te leveren. Het kan worden gebruikt om tracheale intubatie voor de beademing van patiënten
te vereenvoudigen - uitsluitend voor gebruik in het ziekenhuis - en is bedoeld voor volwassen en
pediatrische patiënten.
Productbeschrijving
De ProVu VL is een draagbaar, stijf, laryngoscoopsysteem dat is ontworpen om te assisteren bij
routinematige directe en indirecte laryngoscopie en bij belaste luchtwegen, door een duidelijk beeld
te geven van de luchtweg van de patiënt met behulp van videotechnologie.
Het apparaat bestaat uit een handgreep en blad voor eenmalig gebruik met camera die kan worden
aangesloten op een herbruikbaar 3.5”-display of een herbruikbaar 8”-display, naar de voorkeur van
de gebruiker.
Voorzorgsmaatregelen
-Niet gebruiken als de verpakking open of beschadigd is.
-Niet gebruiken na de vervaldatum.
-Controleer altijd de lichtbron om ervoor te zorgen dat er voldoende verlichting is.
-Zorg ervoor dat er geen glijmiddel op de cameralens terechtkomt.
-Zorg ervoor dat het ProVu display goed vastzit aan de ProVu VL handgreep wanneer deze in gebruik
is.
-Als het camerabeeld niet verschijnt, gebruik dan direct visueel zicht.
-Dit apparaat heeft geen onderhoud nodig.
Waarschuwingen en voorzorgsmaatregelen
-Hergebruik dit apparaat niet. Hergebruik van dit apparaat kan leiden tot gevaren zoals, maar
niet beperkt tot; kruisbesmetting, schade aan het apparaat, verwonding van de patiënt en/of
suboptimale prestaties.
-Voer geen modicaties uit aan het apparaat.
-ProVu VL mag uitsluitend worden gebruikt door geschoold personeel.
-Intubatie en extubatie moeten worden uitgevoerd met behulp van de huidige gangbare medische
technieken.
-Pas een deugdelijk medisch oordeel toe bij het gebruik van dit product.
-Richt de lichtgeleider niet direct in het oog tijdens het gebruik. De lichtstraal kan ernstige
oogaandoeningen veroorzaken.
-Gebruik de ProVu VL alleen met de ProVu-accessoires
-Gebruik geen enkel onderdeel van het systeem met andere laryngoscopen.
-Niet gebruiken binnen een Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR-/MRI-)omgeving of bij andere hoge
interferentiebronnen.
-Gebruik niet in procedures waarbij een laserstraal of een elektrochirurgische actieve elektrode in
de directe omgeving van de ProVu VL wordt gebruikt.
-Niet gebruiken met een debrillator.
-De accu is niet vervangbaar.
-Probeer de accu niet op te laden tijdens gebruik.
-Voer geen onderhoud aan het apparaat uit tijdens het gebruik.
-Niet gebruiken als er onverhoeds scherpe randen aan het product zitten.
-ProVu VL bevat een lichtbron die bij gebruik aan de bovengrens van de bedrijfstemperatuur hoger
kan zijn dan 41˚C. Bij direct contact met deze lichtbron kan weefselschade bij de patiënt optreden.
Elk ernstig incident dat zich in verband met het apparaat voordoet, moet aan de fabrikant en de
bevoegde autoriteit van de lidstaat van de gebruiker en/of de patiënt worden gemeld.
Overzicht van de systeemfuncties
-De ProVu VL is voorzien van een blad voor eenmalig gebruik en een handgreep die kan worden
aangesloten op het ProVu 3.5”-display of het ProVu 8”-display.
-Eenmaal aangesloten kan het display worden gekanteld om een optimaal zicht te verkrijgen (alleen
ProVu 3.5”-display).
Utilisation prévue
Le laryngoscope vidéo ProVu (ProVu VL) est un laryngoscope à usage unique doté d’une fonction
vidéo prévu pour être utilisé par du personnel médical qualié dans le cadre d’une laryngoscopie
directe ou indirecte eectuée en situation normale ou dicile. L’appareil est relié à un moniteur ProVu
pour diuser un ux vidéo à partir de l’extrémité distale de la lame ProVu VL. Il permet de faciliter
l’intubation trachéale des patients adultes et enfants en ventilation uniquement en milieu hospitalier.
Description du produit
Le ProVu VL est un système de laryngoscopie portatif rigide destiné à une laryngoscopie directe ou
indirecte en situation normale ou dicile qui permet de bien visualiser les voies respiratoires du
patient grâce à la technologie vidéo.
Le dispositif se compose d’une poignée et d’une lame à usage unique et est pourvu d’une caméra vidéo
qui se connecte soit à un moniteur 9 cm (3,5 pouces) réutilisable ou à un moniteur 20 cm (8 pouces),
selon la préférence de l’utilisateur.
Précautions
-Ne pas utiliser si l’emballage est ouvert ou endommagé.
-Ne pas utiliser après la date d’expiration.
-Toujours vérier la LED an de garantir un éclairage susant.
-S’assurer que l’objectif de la caméra n’est pas recouvert de lubriant.
-S’assurer que le moniteur ProVu est correctement positionné sur la poignée ProVu VL pendant
son utilisation.
-En cas de panne de la caméra, recourir à une utilisation visuelle.
-Le dispositif n’est pas réparable.
Avertissements et mises en garde
-Ne pas réutiliser ce dispositif. La réutilisation peut entraîner des risques tels que (liste non
exhaustive) : la contamination croisée, des dommages au dispositif, des blessures au patient et/ou
des performances sous-optimales.
-La modication de ce dispositif n’est pas autorisée.
-Le ProVu VL doit être utilisé uniquement par du personnel formé.
-L’intubation et l’extubation doivent être eectuées selon les techniques médicales actuellement
approuvées.
-Faire preuve de jugement médical lors de l’utilisation de ce produit.
-Ne pas pointer le faisceau lumineux dans les yeux pendant l’utilisation, pour éviter toute gêne
importante.
-Utiliser le dispositif ProVu VL uniquement avec des accessoires ProVu.
-Ne pas utiliser les pièces du dispositif avec d’autres laryngoscopes.
-Ne pas utiliser le dispositif dans un environnement d’imagerie par résonance magnétique (IRM) ou
avec d’autres sources d’interférences élevées.
-Ne pas utiliser ce dispositif lors d’interventions impliquant l’utilisation d’un rayon laser ou d’une
électrode active en électrochirurgie à proximité du ProVu VL.
-Ne pas utiliser ce dispositif avec un débrillateur.
-La batterie est non remplaçable.
-Ne pas essayer de recharger la batterie pendant l’utilisation.
-Ne pas assurer la maintenance du dispositif pendant son utilisation.
-Ne pas utiliser en cas de présence de bords coupants indésirables sur le produit.
-ProVu VL est doté d’une source lumineuse pouvant excéder 41 ˚C lorsqu’il est utilisé dans les limites
supérieures de sa plage de fonctionnement. Un contact direct avec cette source lumineuse risque
d’endommager les tissus du patient.
Tout incident grave survenu en lien avec le dispositif devra faire l’objet d’une notication au fabricant
et à l’autorité compétente de l’État membre dans lequel l’utilisateur ou le patient est établi.
Aperçu des fonctions du dispositif
-Le ProVu VL dispose d’une lame et d’une poignée à usage unique qui se connectent au moniteur
ProVu 9 cm (3,5 pouces) ou au ProVu 20 cm (8 pouces).
-Une fois connecté, le moniteur peut être incliné pour une meilleure visualisation (uniquement avec
le moniteur 9 cm).
Instructies voor gebruik
1. Volg de richtlijnen in de bedieningshandleiding van het ProVu 3.5”-display (IP0000-048) of de
bedieningshandleiding van het ProVu 8”-display (IP0000-197) en controleer of het laadniveau
voldoende is om de procedure uit te voeren en of het display klaar is voor gebruik.
2. Bevestig de ProVu VL-handgreep en het blad aan het geselecteerde ProVu-display, zoals
weergegeven in guur 1A en 2.
3. Controleer of het ProVu display het live-beeld van de camera duidelijk en goed georiënteerd
weergeeft.
4. Gebruik de huidige gangbare medische technieken voor intubatie bij gebruik van de videostream
van het ProVu-display als leidraad voor de intubatie. Indien de ruimte beperkt is, kan het display
worden gekanteld als deze direct is aangesloten op de ProVu-handgreep en het blad, zoals
weergegeven in guur 1B.
5. Extubatie met het ProVu VL-systeem moet worden uitgevoerd met behulp van de huidige gangbare
medische technieken.
Na gebruik
1. Koppel na gebruik de ProVu VL-handgreep en het blad los van het ProVu-display.
2. Gooi ProVu VL handgreep en blad weg in overeenstemming met het lokale beleid en/of zoals
geadviseerd door uw lokale zorgverlener.
3. Volg de reinigingsrichtlijnen in de bedieningshandleiding van het ProVu 3.5”-display (IP0000-048)
of de bedieningshandleiding van het ProVu 8”-display (IP0000-197) voor het herbruikbare display.

1. Suivre les instructions du manuel du moniteur ProVu 9 cm (3,5 pouces) (IP0000-048) ou du manuel

2. Bien raccorder la poignée et la lame ProVu VL au moniteur ProVu choisi, comme indiqué sur les

espace limité, le moniteur peut être incliné lorsqu’il est directement connecté au manche et à la
lame ProVu, comme indiqué sur la gure 1B.
5. Pour l’extubation du patient avec le dispositif ProVu VL, utiliser les techniques médicales
actuellement approuvées.
Après utilisation
1. Après utilisation, débrancher la poignée et la lame ProVu VL du moniteur ProVu.
2. Mettre la poignée et la lame ProVu VL à usage unique au rebut conformément aux politiques
locales et/ou selon les conseils de votre prestataire de santé local.
3. Pour le nettoyage du moniteur réutilisable, suivre les instructions du manuel du moniteur ProVu 9
cm (3,5 pouces) (IP0000-048) ou du moniteur ProVu 20 cm (8 pouces) (IP0000-197).

Verwendungszweck
Das ProVu-Video-Laryngoskop (ProVu VL) ist ein steriles tragbares Video-fähiges Einweg-Laryngoskop,
das von qualizierten Medizinern zur Unterstützung der direkten oder indirekten Laryngoskopie in
Standard- oder schwierigen Atemwegen entwickelt wurde. Das Gerät ist mit einem ProVu-Display
verbunden, um einen Videostream vom distalen Ende der ProVu VL Klinge bereitzustellen. Es kann
verwendet werden, um die Trachealintubation für die Patientenbeatmung zu erleichtern, und ist für
erwachsene und pädiatrische Patienten und nur für Krankenhauszwecke vorgesehen.
Produktbeschreibung
Das ProVu VL ist ein tragbares, starres Laryngoskop-System, das die direkte und indirekte
Laryngoskopie in schwierigen und Standard-Atemwegen unterstützt, indem es mithilfe der
Videotechnik eine klare Sicht auf die Atemwege des Patienten bietet.
Das Gerät besteht aus Einweggri und -spatel mit Kamera, die je nach Benutzerwunsch entweder an
ein wiederverwendbares 3,5-Zoll-Display oder ein wiederverwendbares 8-Zoll-Display angeschlossen
werden kann.
Vorsichtsmaßnahmen
-Nicht benutzen, wenn die Verpackung geönet oder beschädigt ist.
-Nach Ablauf des Ablaufdatums nicht mehr verwenden.
-Überprüfen Sie stets die Lichtfunktion, um eine ausreichende Beleuchtung sicherzustellen.
-Stellen Sie sicher, dass kein Schmiermittel das Kameraobjektiv bedeckt.
-Stellen Sie sicher, dass das ProVu-Display bei Verwendung sicher am ProVu VL-Gri befestigt ist.
-Im Falle des Fehlschlagens der Kameraansicht die direkte Augenansicht verwenden.
-Dieses Gerät kann nicht vom Benutzer gewartet werden.
Warnungen
- Dieses Gerät nicht wiederverwenden. Durch die Wiederverwendung können Gefahren, wie
z.B. Kreuzkontamination, Geräteschäden, Verletzungen des Patienten und / oder suboptimale
Leistung, entstehen.
-Änderungen am Gerät sind nicht zulässig.
-Der ProVu VL darf nur von geschultem Personal verwendet werden.
-Die Intubation und Extubation sollten mit derzeit anerkannten medizinischen Techniken
durchgeführt werden.
-Wenden Sie bei der Verwendung dieses Produkts ein gutes medizinisches Urteilsvermögen an.
-Richten Sie den Lichtleiter während des Betriebs nicht direkt auf das Auge. Die Lichtleistung kann
zu starken Augenbeschwerden führen.
-Verwenden Sie den ProVu VL nur mit dem ProVu-Zubehör
-Verwenden Sie keinen Teil des Systems mit anderen Laryngoskopen.
-Das Gerät nicht in der Umgebung von Magnetresonanztomographie-Geräten (MR / MRT) oder
anderen hohen Störquellen verwenden.
-Nicht bei Verfahren anwenden, bei denen in der unmittelbaren Umgebung des ProVu VL ein
Laserstrahl oder eine elektrochirurgische aktive Elektrode verwendet wird.
-Nicht mit einem Debrillator verwenden.
-Akku nicht austauschbar.
-Versuchen Sie nicht, den Akku während des Betriebs aufzuladen.
-Führen Sie während des Gebrauchs keine Wartungsarbeiten am Gerät durch.
-Nicht verwenden, wenn das Produkt unbeabsichtigt scharfe Kanten aufweist.
-ProVu VL enthält eine Lichtquelle, die bei Verwendung an der oberen Grenze ihrer
Betriebstemperatur 41° C überschreiten kann. Bei direktem Kontakt mit dieser Lichtquelle kann es
zu Gewebeschäden beim Patienten kommen.
Jeder schwerwiegende Vorfall im Zusammenhang mit dem Gerät sollte dem Hersteller und der
zuständigen Behörde des Mitgliedstaats des Anwenders und / oder Patienten gemeldet werden.
Übersicht über die Systemfunktionen
-Das ProVu VL verfügt über Einwegspatel und -gri, die entweder mit dem ProVu 3,5-Zoll-Display
oder dem ProVu 8-Zoll-Display verbunden werden können.
-Nach dem Anschließen kann das Display zur Erzielung einer optimalen Ansicht geneigt werden
(nur ProVu 3,5-Zoll-Display).
Gebrauchsanweisung
1. Gemäß den Richtlinien in der Gebrauchsanweisung des ProVu 3,5-Zoll-Displays (IP0000-048) oder
der Gebrauchsanweisung des ProVu 8-Zoll-Displays (IP0000-197) sicherstellen, dass es für die
Durchführung des Verfahrens ausreichend geladen und einsatzbereit ist.
2. ProVu VL-Gri und -spatel, wie in den Abbildungen 1A und 2 gezeigt, sicher an das ausgewählte
ProVu-Display anschließen.
3. Überprüfen, ob das Live-Bild der Kamera auf dem ProVu-Displaybildschirm klar und korrekt
angezeigt wird.
4. Für die Intubation derzeit anerkannte medizinische Techniken verwenden, wobei der Videostream
des ProVu VS auf dem Display als Anleitung für die Intubation verwendet wird. Bei beengten
Platzverhältnissen kann das Display geneigt werden, wenn es - wie in Abbildung 1B gezeigt - direkt
an den ProVu-Gri und -spatel angeschlossen ist.
5. Den Patienten mit dem ProVu VL-System mithilfe der derzeit anerkannten medizinischen Techniken
extubieren.
Verwendungszweck
1. ProVu VL-Gri und -spatel nach dem Gebrauch von dem ProVu-Display treen.
2. Den ProVu VL-Einweggri und die Klinge gemäß den örtlichen Richtlinien und / oder den
Anweisungen Ihres örtlichen Gesundheitsdienstleisters entsorgen.
3. Die Reinigungsrichtlinien in der Gebrauchsanweisung des ProVu 3,5-Zoll-Displays (IP0000-
048) oder in der Gebrauchsanweisung des ProVu 8-Zoll-Displays (IP0000-197) für das
wiederverwendbare Display befolgen.

Il ProVu Video Laringoscopio (ProVu VL) è un laringoscopio portatile monouso sterile, abilitato per
video, progettato per l’uso da parte di professionisti medici qualicati, destinato ad assistere nella
laringoscopia diretta o indiretta nelle vie aeree di routine o dicili. Il dispositivo è collegato a un
Display ProVu per fornire uno streaming video dall’estremità distale della lama ProVu. Può essere
utilizzato per facilitare l’intubazione tracheale per la ventilazione del paziente esclusivamente per uso
ospedaliero ed è destinato a pazienti adulti e pediatrici.
Descrizione del prodotto
ProVu VL è un sistema di laringoscopio portatile, rigido, progettato per aiutare nella laringoscopia
diretta e indiretta nelle vie respiratorie di routine e dicili fornendo una visione chiara delle vie aeree
del paziente utilizzando tecnologia video.
Il dispositivo è costituito da un’impugnatura e da una lama monouso con telecamera che si collega a
un display riutilizzabile da 3,5” o riutilizzabile da 8” in base alle preferenze dell’utente.
Precauzioni
-Non utilizzare se la confezione è aperta o danneggiata.
-Non utilizzare dopo la data di scadenza.
-Controllare sempre il funzionamento delle luci per garantire un’illuminazione suciente.
-Assicurarsi che il lubricante non copra l’obiettivo della telecamera.
-Assicurarsi che il Display ProVu sia ssato saldamente all’impugnatura ProVu VL durante l’uso.
-Se la visualizzazione tramite telecamera non funziona, utilizzare la visione oculare diretta.
-La manutenzione di questo dispositivo non può essere eseguita dall’utente.
Avvertenze e Precauzioni
-Non riutilizzare il dispositivo. Il riutilizzo di questo dispositivo può comportare rischi come, ma
non solo: contaminazione incrociata, danni al dispositivo, lesioni al paziente e/o prestazioni non
ottimali.
-Non è permessa alcuna modica del dispositivo
-Il ProVu VL deve essere utilizzato unicamente da personale qualicato.
-Per eseguire l’intubazione o l’estubazione utilizzare tecniche mediche accettate.
-Applicare le buone pratiche mediche quando si utilizza questo prodotto.
-Non puntare le luci direttamente negli occhi durante il funzionamento. La luce emessa può causare
grave disagio oculare.
-Utilizzare il ProVu VL esclusivamente con gli accessori ProVu.
-Non utilizzare alcuna parte del sistema con altri laringoscopi.
-Non utilizzare in ambienti di risonanza magnetica (RMN, RM) o in presenza di altre fonti di
interferenze elevate.
-Non utilizzare in procedure che comportano l’uso di un raggio laser o elettrodo elettrochirurgico
attivo nelle immediate vicinanze del ProVu VS.
-Non utilizzare con un debrillatore.
-La batteria non è sostituibile
-Non cercare di ricaricare la batteria mentre è in funzione
-Non tentare di eseguire la manutenzione del dispositivo durante l’utilizzo.
-Non utilizzare se ci sono bordi taglienti non previsti sul prodotto.
-ProVu VL contiene una fonte luminosa che può superare la temperatura di 41 °C quando utilizzata
ai limiti superiori della sua temperatura di esercizio. Possono vericarsi lesioni al paziente se
questo viene direttamente a contatto con la fonte luminosa.
Ogni incidente grave che si verica in relazione al dispositivo deve essere riferito al produttore e
all’autorità competente dello Stato membro in cui l’utente e/o il paziente è stabilito.
Panoramica delle funzioni del sistema
-ProVu VL dispone di una lama e impugnatura monouso che si collegano al Display ProVu 3,5” o al
Display ProVu 8”.
-Una volta collegato, il display può essere inclinato per ottenere una visualizzazione ottimale (solo
Display ProVu 3,5”).
Istruzioni per l’uso
1. Seguendo le linee guida descritte nel manuale operativo del Display ProVu 3,5” (IP0000-048), o nel
manuale operativo del Display ProVu 8” (IP0000-197), assicurarsi che ci sia abbastanza carica per
portare a termine la procedura e che il Display sia pronto per l’uso.
2. Collegare l’impugnatura e la lama ProVu VL al Display ProVu selezionato come mostrato in Figura
1A e 2.
3. Vericare che la schermata del Display ProVu VL visualizzi immagine dal vivo proveniente dalla
videocamera con chiarezza e con un orientamento corretto.*
4. Utilizzare le tecniche mediche correntemente accettate per l’intubazione, quando ci si serve dello
streaming video sul Display ProVu come guida per l’intubazione. Se lo spazio è limitato, quando
è collegato direttamente all’impugnatura e alla lama ProVu il display può essere inclinato, come
mostrato nella Figura 1B.
5. Con il sistema ProVu VL, estubare il paziente utilizzando le tecniche mediche correntemente
accettate.
Dopo l’utilizzo
1. Dopo l’uso, scollegare l’impugnatura e la lama ProVu VL dal Display ProVu.
2. Smaltire l’impugnatura e la lama monouso ProVu VL in conformità alle normative locali e/o come
suggerito dall’operatore sanitario locale.
3. Seguire le linee guida per la pulizia descritte nel manuale operativo del Display ProVu 3,5” (IP0000-
048), o nel manuale operativo del Display ProVu 8” (IP0000-197) per il Display riutilizzabile.

Scopul utilizării
Videolaringoscopul ProVu (ProVu VL) este un laringoscop cu capacitate video, steril, de unică folosință,
portabil, conceput pentru a  utilizat de profesioniști calicați din domeniul medical pentru a-i asista
la laringoscopia directă sau indirectă, de rutină sau asupra căilor respiratorii dicile. Dispozitivul este
conectat la un așaj ProVu VL pentru a asigura transmisia video de la capătul distal al lamei ProVu
VL. Poate  utilizat pentru a facilita intubarea traheală pentru ventilația pacienților, doar pentru uz
spitalicesc, și este destinat pacienților adulți, adolescenți și copii.
Descrierea produsului
ProVu VL este un sistem de laringoscop portabil, rigid, conceput pentru a ajuta la laringoscopia directă
și indirectă, de rutină sau asupra căilor respiratorii dicile prin furnizarea unei vederi clare asupra
căilor respiratorii ale pacientului, utilizând tehnologia video.
Dispozitivul constă într-un mâner și o lamă de unică folosință, cu o cameră care se conectează e la un
așaj reutilizabil de 3,5”, e la un așaj reutilizabil de 8”, conform preferinței utilizatorului.
Precauții
-A nu se utiliza dacă ambalajul este deschis sau deteriorat.
-A nu se utiliza după data de expirare.
-Vericați întotdeauna funcționarea luminii, pentru a asigura o iluminare sucientă.
-Asigurați-vă că lentila camerei nu este acoperită de lubriant.
-Asigurați-vă că așajul ProVu este xat în siguranță la mânerul ProVu VL, atunci când este în uz.
-Dacă imaginea camerei se defectează, utilizați vizualizarea oculară directă.
-Acest dispozitiv nu poate  reparat de utilizator.
Atenționări și precauții
-Nu reutilizați acest dispozitiv. Reutilizarea poate genera pericole care includ, dar nu se limitează
la: contaminare încrucișată, deteriorarea dispozitivului, vătămarea pacientului și/sau performanță
suboptimă.
-Nu este permisă nicio modicare a dispozitivului.
-ProVu VL trebuie utilizat numai de către personalul instruit.
-Intubarea și extubarea trebuie să se efectueze folosind tehnicile medicale acceptate la momentul
respectiv.
-Exercitați o bună judecată medicală când utilizați acest produs.
-Nu orientați ghidul luminos direct în ochi în timpul funcționării. Lumina emisă poate cauza un
disconfort ocular sever.
-Utilizați ProVu VL doar împreună cu accesoriile ProVu
-Nu utilizați nicio parte a sistemului cu alte laringoscoape.
-Nu utilizați în medii de imagistică prin rezonanță magnetică (RM/IRM) sau alături de alte surse de
interferență puternică.
-Nu utilizați în cadrul procedurilor care implică folosirea unui fascicul laser sau un electrod
electrochirurgical activ în imediata apropiere a ProVu VL.
-Nu utilizați împreună cu un debrilator.
-Bateria nu poate  înlocuită.
-Nu încercați să încărcați când bateria când este în uz
-Nu efectuați întreținerea dispozitivului în timpul utilizării.
-A nu se utiliza dacă există margini ascuțite neintenționate la nivelul produsului.
-ProVu VL conține o sursă de lumină care poate depăși 41˚C atunci când este utilizată la limita
superioară la temperaturii sale de funcționare. Pot avea loc leziuni tisulare ale pacientului, dacă
intră în contact direct cu această sursă de lumină.
Orice incident grav care apare în legătură cu dispozitivul trebuie raportat producătorului și autorității
competente a statului membru de reședință al utilizatorului și/sau pacientului.
Prezentare generală a funcțiilor sistemului
-ProVu VL dispune de o lamă și un mâner de unică folosință, care se conectează la așajul ProVu de
3,5” sau așajul ProVu de 8”.
-Odată conectat, așajul poate  înclinat pentru a obține o imagine optimă (doar așajul ProVu
de 3,5”).
Instrucțiuni de utilizare
1. Respectând instrucțiunile furnizate în manualul de operare al așajului ProVu 3,5” (IP0000-048)
sau al așajului ProVu 8” (IP0000-197), asigurați-vă că există un nivel de încărcare sucient pentru
a efectua procedura și că așajul este gata de utilizare.
2. Conectați ferm mânerul și lama ProVu VL la așajul ProVu selectat, așa cum se arată în Figurile
1A și 2.
3. Vericați că ecranul așajului ProVu VL redă o imagine în timp real de la cameră cu un nivel de
claritate satisfăcător și în orientarea adecvată.*
4. Folosiți tehnicile medicale actualmente acceptate pentru intubare, la utilizarea transmisiei video
pe așajul ProVu drept ghid pentru intubare. Dacă există limitări de spațiu, așajul poate  înclinat
atunci când este direct conectat la mânerul și lama ProVu, așa cum se arată în Figura 1B.

Finalidad
El videolaringoscopio ProVu (ProVu VL), es un laringoscopio estéril, de un solo uso, portátil y provisto
de vídeo que ha sido diseñado para ser utilizado por profesionales médicos para asistir en procesos
de laringoscopia directa o indirecta con vías respiratorias normales o difíciles. El dispositivo se conecta
a un monitor ProVu para transmitir en vivo las imágenes captadas en el extremo distal de la pala de
ProVu VL. Puede utilizarse para facilitar la intubación traqueal en procesos de ventilación de pacientes
adultos y pediátricos en entornos hospitalarios.

ProVu VL es un laringoscopio portátil y rígido diseñado para asistir en laringoscopias directas e

Resumen de funciones del dispositivo

Instrucciones de uso
1. Siguiendo las instrucciones del manual del monitor ProVu de 3,5 pulgadas (IP0000-048) o el
monitor ProVu de 8 pulgadas (IP0000-197), asegúrese de que el dispositivo disponga de suciente
carga para realizar el procedimiento y de que el monitor esté listo para ser utilizado.
2. Conecte correctamente el mango y la pala del ProVu VL al monitor de Provu VL que haya elegido,

4. Emplee técnicas médicas vigentes y aprobadas para la intubación, con la asistencia de las imágenes
que transmite el monitor ProVu. Si el espacio es limitado, puede inclinar el monitor cuando esté
directamente conectado al videolaringoscopio ProVu con mango y pala, como se muestra en la
imagen 1B.
5. Con el sistema ProVu VL, la extubación debe realizarse según las técnicas médicas vigentes y
aprobadas.
Después de su uso
1. Después de su uso, desconecte el videolaringoscopio ProVu con mango y pala del monitor ProVu.
2. Deseche el mango y la pala de uso únicos de ProVu VL de acuerdo con lo establecido en las políticas
locales o según las recomendaciones de los profesionales sanitarios locales.

ProVu videolaryngoskop (ProVu VL) är ett sterilt, bärbart videoanpassat laryngoskop för engångsbruk

indirekt laryngoskopi i normala eller besvärliga luftvägar. Enheten ansluts till en ProVu-display för
