2.1FCCCompliance
Thisdevicecomplieswithpart15oftheFCCRules.Operationissubjecttothefollowingtwo
conditions:
1. Thisdevicemaynotcauseharmfulinterference.
2. Thisdevicemustacceptanyinterferencereceived,includinginterferencethatmaycause
undesiredoperation.
ThisequipmenthasbeentestedandfoundtocomplywiththelimitsforaClassBdigitaldevice,

InDataHoldmode,presstheHOLDbuttontocapturethemeasurementthatisshownonthe
maindisplay.Thecapturedreadingwillbedisplayedinthesecondary,upperdisplayarea(the
maindisplaywillthenfunctionnormally).The‘H’displayiconwillappearsolidontheLCDin
theHoldmode.ToexittheHoldmode,presstheHOLDbuttonagain.

5.5.2Auto‐Holdmode
IfAuto‐HoldmodeisswitchedONinthesettingsmenu,presstheHOLDbuttontoactivate
Auto‐Holdmode(the‘H’displayiconwillappearflashing).InAuto‐Holdmodereadingsare
capturedinthesaywayasinstandardHoldmode.Thedifferenceisthatthecaptured
reading,displayedonthesmaller,secondarydisplaydigits,willupdatewheneverareading50
unitshigherorlowerthanthecapturedreadingismeasured.ToexittheAuto‐Holdmode
presstheHOLDbutton.
5.6VoltageMeasurements
1.Setthefunctionswitchtothe position.
2.InserttheblackprobeleadintotheCOMterminalandredprobeleadintotheVterminal.
3.UsetheMODEbuttontoselectACorDCvoltagemeasurements.

4. DuringtheTest,theinsulationvoltagewillappearinthesecondary(upper)readingarea.The
resistancewillbeshowninthemainreadingarea.
5. PressTESTOKtostarttest.
6. Tolockthetestforcontinuoustesting,presstheHOLD/LOCKbutton(lockiconwillappear)and
thenpressTESTOKtotestcontinuously.
7. TheTESTiconontheLCDwillbeshownwhilethevoltageisoutputted.

besavedinthenormalwayasdescribedintheExtendedFunctionalitysectionbelowunder

5.8EarthBondResistanceMeasurements(ZEROΩ)
1. MovethefunctiondialtotheEarth‐bondresistanceposition(ZEROΩ);theEarth‐bond
resistanceiconwillappear.
2. InserttheblackprobeleadintotheCOMterminalandredprobeleadintotheZEROOhm
terminal.
3. Beforetesting,shorttheendsoftheprobesandpresstheMODEbutton.TheZEROiconwill
appearonthedisplayandtheoffsetvaluewillbestored.Ifthetestleadsarenotshortedorif
thereisresidualresistance,thedisplaywillshowthe>2.00ohms(thisindicationcouldbedue
tofaultyleads,impropertestleadinsertion,ormeterproblem.Testsshouldnotbeattempted
untilrootcauseofthehighresistanceisdetermined.
4. PressTESTOKtorunatest.
5. TolockthetestON,presstheHOLD/LOCKbutton(theLOCKicon willappear)andthen
pressTESTOKtotestcontinuously.

METERLiNK®.TostreamdatatoaniOS/Androiddevice,downloadtheapplicationFLIR
TOOLSTMandfollowtheapplicationon‐screenprompts.
StreamingmeasurementdataisaconvenientwaytoaddimportantinformationtoanIRimage.
Forexample,whenidentifyinganoverheatedcableconnection,youmaywanttoknowits
voltage.TheBluetoothrangeis10m(32ft)maximum.
5.14.2Procedures
1. PairtheIRcamerawiththeinstrument.Refertothecameramanualforinformationon
howtopairBluetoothdevices.
2. Turnonthecameraandthenturnonthemeter.
3. PressthebuttononthemetertoenableBluetooth.TheBluetoothiconwillappear
flashingintheupperlefthandcornerofthemeterdisplay.
4. Choosethevariablethatyouwanttouse(voltage,bondresistance,etc.).Resultsfromthe
meterwillnowautomaticallybedisplayedintheresultanttableinthetopleftcornerof
theIRcamerascreen.

6. Maintenance
6.1CleaningandStorage
Cleanthemeterwithadampclothandmilddetergent;donotuseabrasivesorsolvents.
Ifthemeterisnottobeusedforanextendedperiod,removethebatteriesandstorethem
separately.
6.2BatteryReplacement
TheBatterysymbolflasheswithno‘bars’whenthebatterieshavereachedacriticallevelof7.0V.
ThesymbolstaysactiveandvisiblewhiletheLCDispowered.
Themeterdisplaysreadingswithinspecificationswhilethelowbatteryindicatorison.Whenthisis
nolongerpossible,thedisplaymustbeblanked.Themeterpowersoffbeforeitdisplaysanoutof
tolerancevoltage.
1. Toavoidelectricalshock,disconnectthemeterifconnectedtoacircuit,removetheprobe
fromtheterminals,andsetthefunctionswitchtotheOFFpositionbeforeattemptingto
replacethebatteries.
2. Unscrewandremovethebatterycompartmentcover.
3. ReplacethesixstandardAAAbatteries,observingcorrectpolarity.
4. Securethebatterycompartmentcover.
6.3FuseReplacement
Thefuseaccessedviathebatterycompartmentcover.Thefuseisrated440mA/1000V,ceramic
fastblowwithaminimumInterruptRatingof10kA.
