TS44 PRO Test Set quick guide
Feature Operation
Data Test Connect the unit to Tip and Ring and move the
T/M switch to T. If high-speed data is present,
the unit’s alarm will start beeping and the unit
will lockout and not go off-hook. If there is no
high-speed data, the unit will go off-hook.
Data Lockout Override In Talk mode, while the data lockout alarm is
sounding, press the OVERRIDE key – the unit
will go off-hook. For example, this is what you
would do to access POTS on a line carrying
both POTS and ADSL.
Line Voltage Test In Monitor mode, press Vdc&mA/TEST key.
Low Voltage 0 Vdc to 2 Vdc – LO LED lights up red for 3
seconds. 2 Vdc to 42 Vdc – LO LED flashes red.
Normal Voltage 42 Vdc to 53 Vdc – LO and HI LEDs flash green
once.
High Voltage 53 Vdc to 140 Vdc – HI LED flashes red. >140
Vdc – HI LED lights up red for 3 seconds.
Loop Current Test Go off-hook and press the Vdc&mA TEST key.
If the loop current is less than 23mA, the mA
LED flashes red. If the loop current is 23mA or
greater, the mA LED flashes green.
Redial the Last Number
Dialed
Go off-hook and press the LNR key.
Pulse Dialing By default the unit is configured to Tone dial.
But if you want to Pulse dial, go off-hook and
press the TONE/PULSE key, now the unit will
pulse dial.
Program Speed Dial
Numbers
In Monitor mode, press RCL. Enter the number
to be stored. Press STORE/PROG, then press
the number of the memory location (0-9) where
you want to store it. The confirmation tone
sounds.
To Speed Dial a Stored
Number
Go off-hook, press RCL, then press the key
(0-9) of the memory location where the number
is stored.
Two-Way Speakerphone While off-hook, press SPKR to activate. Press
SPKR again to deactivate. If you are listening
only, press MUTE to activate the Receive-Only
Loud Speaker. Press MUTE again to restore the
two-way Speakerphone.
To Set Receive-Only
Loud Speaker as
Default
1Put the test set in Monitor mode.
2Press STORE/PROG.
3Press MUTE. The confirmation tone sounds.
To restore the Speakerphone as the default
Speaker mode, repeat the three steps above.
