Fostex CR200 User manual

CR200
Professional CD Recorder
T
he ability to master audio compact
discs has until now been
somewhat of a luxury, with only
the very top studios and recording
professionals having the kind of
investment to purchase a CD
mastering machine.
PPRROOFFEESSSSIIOONNAALLCCDD--RR
However, this situation is about to
change with the machine you see
here - the thoroughly professional,
yet incredible value Fostex CR200
Compact Disc Recorder.
Designed around a rugged copper
chassis, this machine offers
state-of-the-art digital and
analogue audio recording to
standard CD-R media via easy to
use front panel controls.
And don’t confuse ‘easy to use’
with a lack of features.
Fostex have long had a reputation
for designing audio tools packed
with facilities which remain
simple to understand and operate.
The CR200 is no exception.

So, easy to use and operate, but
what of the quality?
Rest assured that the CR200
exhibits all the professional
hallmarks and audio specification
you would expect from Fostex.
There’s a built-in sample rate
converter which accepts 32kHz or
48kHz source, and converts it to
the CD standard sample rate of
44.1kHz. - Essential for making
original CD masters from DAT or
MD media. The construction of
the chassis has been designed to
provide a high level of screening
against electronic interference.
And a complete set of quality-
matched components plus not one
but two internal power supplies,
each with their own transformers,
ensure an unrivalled sonic
performance.
TTHHEELLAASSTTWWOORRDD
This kind of attention to detail and
the plain great value of the CR200

Trust Fostex.
SSTTAABBLLEEPPLLAATTTTEERRMMEECCHHAANNIISSMM

improved sense of transparency by clamping
the CD over its whole surface area virtually
eliminating vibration.
SSKKIIPP--IIDDFFUUNNCCTTIIOONN
