Sicherheit WARNUNG!
Gefahr durch Fehlbedienung und fehlerhaft durchgeführte Arbeiten.
Schwerwiegende Personen- und Sachschäden können die Folgen sein.
► Alle in diesem Dokument beschriebenen Arbeiten und Funktionen dürfen nur von ge-
schultem Fachpersonal ausgeführt werden, wenn folgende Dokumente vollständig ge-
lesen und verstanden wurden:

WARNUNG!
Gefahr durch einen elektrischen Schlag.
Ein elektrischer Schlag kann tödlich sein. Vor Beginn der Arbeiten:
► Netzschalter der Stromquelle in Stellung - O - schalten
► Stromquelle vom Netz trennen
► sicherstellen, dass die Stromquelle bis zum Abschluss aller Arbeiten vom Netz ge-
trennt bleibt
► Nach dem Öffnen des Gerätes mit Hilfe eines geeigneten Messgerätes sicherstellen,
dass elektrisch geladene Bauteile (z.B. Kondensatoren) entladen sind.

Gefahr durch unzureichende Schutzleiter-Verbindung.
Schwerwiegende Personen- und Sachschäden können die Folgen sein.
► Die Gehäuse-Schrauben stellen eine geeignete Schutzleiter-Verbindung für die Er-
dung des Gehäuses dar.
► Die Gehäuse-Schrauben dürfen keinesfalls durch andere Schrauben ohne zuverlässi-
ge Schutzleiter-Verbindung ersetzt werden.

Verletzungsgefahr durch heiße Systemkomponenten.
Schwere Verbrühungen können die Folge sein
► Vor Beginn der Arbeiten alle heißen Systemkomponenten auf Zimmertemperatur (+25
°C, +77 °F) abkühlen lassen, beispielsweise: Kühlmittel,wassergekühlte Systemkom-
ponenten, Antriebsmotor des Drahtvorschubes.
Allgemeines Diese Einbauanleitung gilt sowohl für den Print LCG11/LCG11US, als auch für die Sekun-
därdiode. Wird der Print LCG11/LCG11US ausgetauscht, nicht aber die Sekundärdiode,
können folgende Kapitel übersprungen werden:

(Körnung P 500 oder feiner) beseitigen
Kühlkörper mit Kontaktspray und nicht
faserndem Tuch reinigen
WICHTIG! An der Sekundärdiode ist bereits eine Wärmeleitfolie aufgeklebt.
- Keine Wärmeleitpaste zusätzlich auftragen
- Die Wärmeleitfolie an der Unterseite der Sekundärdiode keinesfalls abziehen

Bei der Montage der Sekundärdiode darauf
achten, daß die U-förmige Ausnehmung
(23) in Richtung Trafo zeigt.
Auf Sauberkeit achten! Verunreinigungen
zwischen Sekundärdiode und Kühlkörper
beeinträchtigen die Wärmeübertragung.
Sekundärdiode mit Diodenhalterung
auf Kühlkörper legen
„Schrauben M4x14 (TX20) (4) leicht
andrehen
WICHTIG! Vor dem Festziehen der
Schrauben M4x14 (TX20) (4) muß die Se-
kundärdiode lückenlos und eben auf dem
Kühlkörper aufliegen.
Schrauben M4x14 (TX20) (4) mit 2 Nm
festziehen
4 Distanzstücke (5) in die Diodenhalte-
rung einsetzen

2 Schrauben M4x20 (TX20) (6) (ohne
Tellerfedern), zur Befestigung des
„Kupferbügels (+) Buchse“ (20), leicht
andrehen
Vor dem Ansetzen der 2 Schrauben
M4x20 (TX20) (6), zur Befestigung der
„Trafoleitungen Sekundärdiode“ (19),
die Tellerfedern (7) gemäß Abbildung
auf die Schrauben M4x20 (TX20) (6)
aufschieben.
Beim Festziehen der 4 Schrauben M4x20
(TX20) (6), unbedingt ein Drehmoment von
1,5 Nm einhalten. Ein stärkeres Festziehen
der Schrauben, kann zur Zerstörung der
Sekundärdiode führen.
Schrauben M4x20 (TX20) (6), zur Be-
festigung der „Trafoleitungen Sekun-
därdiode“ (19), mit 1,5 Nm
festschrauben
Schrauben M4x20 (TX20) (6), zur Be-
festigung des „Kupferbügels (+) Buch-
se“ (20), mit 1,5 Nm festziehen
Schraube M5x12 (TX20) (27), in der -
Buchse, mit 2 Nm festziehen
Meßleitung Schweißspannung (rot)
(22) in den 6-poligen Molexstecker X7/

Danger due to incorrect operation and incorrectly performed work.
This can result in serious injury and damage to property.
► All functions described in this document may only be carried out by trained and quali-
fied personnel after they have fully read and understood the following documents:

► all documents relating to the system components, especially the safety rules
WARNING!
Risk of electric shock.
An electric shock can be fatal. Before starting work:
► turn the power source mains switch to the "O" position
► disconnect the power source from the mains
► ensure that the power source remains disconnected from the mains until all work has
been completed
► After opening the device, use a suitable measuring instrument to check that electrically
charged components (e.g. capacitors) have been discharged.
WARNING!
Danger from inadequate ground conductor connection.
This can result in serious injury and damage to property.
► The housing screws provide a suitable ground conductor connection for earthing the
housing.
► The housing screws must never be replaced with different screws unless a reliable
ground conductor connection is established.
CAUTION!
Risk of injury from hot system components..
This can result in severe scalds.
► Before starting work, allow all hot system components to cool down to room tempera-
ture (+25°C, +77°F). For example: coolant, water-cooled system components, wire-
feed unit drive motor.
General remarks These Installation Instructions apply both to the LCG11/LCG11US board and to the sec-
ondary diode. If you want to exchange only the LCG11/LCG11US board, but not the sec-
ondary diode, you can skip the following sections:

Dismount shunt (16) by loosening the
two M5x12 screws (TX20) (17)
Carefully bend the “Centre-tap trans-
former lead” (18) to one side
Unscrew the two M4x20 screws
(TX20) (6) (with cup springs) from the
“Secondary-diode transformer leads”
(19)
Unscrew the two M4x20 (6) screws
(TX20) from the “ (+) socket copper
bow” (20)
Loosen the copper bow (20) by undo-
ing the M5x12 screw (TX20) in the (+)
socket
Turn the copper bow (20) to one side
Not for LCG11US:
Unplug the “LCG11-board earthing
conductor” (21) from the transformer
holder
Unplug the 6-pole Molex plug (15)
from the LCA11/LCB11 / X7 board

Take out the welding-voltage measu-
ring lead (red) (22) from the 6-pole Mo-
lex plug X7/4, preferably using the
Molex extractor tool
Carefully detach the LCG11/LCG11US
board (1)
Removing the
secondary diode Remove the 4 spacers (5) from the di-
ode holder
Undo the two M4x14 screws (TX20) (4)
from the diode holder
Detach the secondary diode, together
with the diode holder
Fitting the sec-
ondary diode Pre-clean the heat sink with contact
spray and a non-linting cloth
Remove any contamination or uneven-
ness from the heat sink with fine abra-
sive paper (grain P 500 or finer)
Clean the heat sink with contact spray
and a non-linting cloth
IMPORTANT! There already is a heat-transfer film affixed to the secondary diode.
- Do not apply any heat-transfer compound in addition to this film
- Do NOT peel off the heat-transfer film from the underside of the secondary diode

When mounting the secondary diode, make
sure that the U-shaped recess (23) is poin-
ting towards the transformer.
All parts must be kept clean! Any contami-
nation between the secondary diode and
the heat sink will impair the heat-transfer.
Place the secondary diode, plus diode
holder, onto the heat sink
Slightly tighten the M4x14 screws
(TX20) (4)
IMPORTANT! Before you tighten the
M4x14 screws (TX20) (4), the secondary
diode must be lying completely flat on the
heat sink, without any gaps.
Tighten the M4x14 screws (TX20) (4)
with a torque of 2 Nm
Insert the 4 spacers (5) into the diode
holder
Fitting the LCG11
/ LCG11US board Carefully place the LCG11/LCG11US
board onto the spacers on the diode
holder
Not for LCG11US:
Plug the “LCG11-board earthing con-
ductor” (21) to the transformer holder

Slightly tighten the two M4x20 screws
(TX20) (6) (without cup springs) to fas-
ten the “(+) socket copper bow” (20)
Before positioning the two M4x20
screws (TX20) (6) to attach the “Se-
condary-diode transformer leads” (19),
push the cup springs (7) onto the
M4x20 screws (TX20) (6) as shown in
figure.
When tightening the four M4x20 screws
(TX20) (6), do not exceed a torque of 1.5
Nm. If you turn the screws any tighter than
this, you risk destroying the secondary dio-
de.
Tighten the M4x20 screws (TX20) (6)
with a torque of 1.5 Nm, to fasten the
“Secondary-diode transformer leads”
(19)
Tighten the M4x20 screws (TX20) (6)
with a torque of 1.5 Nm, to fasten the “
(+) socket copper bow” (22)
Tighten the M5x12 screw (TX20) (27)
in the (+) socket, with a torque of 2 Nm
Insert the welding-voltage measuring
lead (red) (22) into the 6-pole Molex
plug X7/4
Plug the 6-pole Molex plug onto the
LCA11/LCB11 / X7 (15) board
When mounting
the shunt
- Use the smaller borehole on the shunt (16) for fastening it to the “Centretap transform-
er lead” (18)
- Use the larger borehole on the shunt (16) for fastening it to the “ (-) socket copper bow”

Loosely fasten the shunt (16) and the
“Shunt ---” lead (white) (25) to the
“Centre-tap transformer lead” (18)
-Slightly tighten the M5x12 screw
(TX20) (17)
Fasten the shunt (16) and the two “So-
cket X3” leads (blue) (26) to the “ (+)
socket copper bow” (24)
-Tighten the M5x12 screw (TX20)
(17) with a torque of 2 Nm
Tighten the M5x12 screw (TX20) (17)

► Les vis du boîtier constituent une connexion de conducteur de terre appropriée pour la
mise à la terre du corps de l'appareil.
► Les vis du carter ne doivent en aucun cas être remplacées par d'autres vis qui n'offri-
raient pas ce type de connexion fiable au conducteur de terre.
ATTENTION !
Risque de blessure dû aux composants du système très chauds.
Cela peut entraîner de graves brûlures.
► Avant le début des travaux, laisser refroidir l'ensemble des composants du système
jusqu'à température ambiante (+25 °C, +77 °F), par exemple : le réfrigérant, les com-
posants du système refroidis par eau, le moteur d'entraînement du dévidoir.
Généralités Ces instructions d'installation valent pour la plaqu. à circuits imprimés LCG11 / LCG11US
et pour la diode secondaire. Quand la plaqu. à circuits imprimés LCG11/LCG11US est
remplacée sans rempl. la diode second. on peut sauter les chapitres suivants:
