1.BriefIntroduction
FrSkyV82.4GHzradiocontrolsystemisanewgeneration ofradiocontrolproductdevelopedbyFrSky
ElectronicCo.,Ltdthat incorporatesthemost advanced2.4GHzdigitalcommunicationtechnology.Thankstothe
highprecision,minimumlatencyandinterferenceresistant, thesystemmakesthesimultaneoususeofmultiple
deviceswithouttheriskofinterference.Combining oursoftwarewithFHSS wehavedevelopedasystem
presenting thehighestperformanceavailable.
WearegladtointroducetheFrSky2.4GHzRadioSystem.
ACCST (AdvancedContinuousChannelShiftingTechnology)isouradvancedtechnology.The ACCST 2.4GHz
systemshiftsthefrequency hundredsoftimespersecond.Itmeansthereareno signalconflictsandinterruptions.

Important!
Theeffectiverangeofcontrolreferstothedistancebetweenthetransmitterandthereceiverclearof
obstruction.All datawastestedandverifiedbyFrSky.
Howeverthisisnotguaranteedduetomanyfactorssuchastheflying environmentandtheweather,which
can greatlyaffect theeffectiverangeofcontrol.
Itisextremelyimportanttorangecheck yourmodelspriortoeachflying session!
4.Setup and Operation process
4.1Installprocess:
1.Openthetransmitter,find outtheBatterypowersupplyline, PPMsignalline, and theGND.You willfind
Batterypowersupplylinejustbehindthepowerswitchbyusing avoltmeterandfindoutthePPMsignallinewith
an oscillograph.
2.Taketheorder,solderthePPMsignalline,Batterypowersupplyline,GND totheDIYtransmittingmodule
with3line.（XXX àPPM;---àGND ;WHITE:+5V）
3. Drillfiveholesonthetransmitterasthepapermarkerguided,twoholesonbothsidesaredesignedfor
screwinstallation,othersforgreen/redcolorLEDandthebutton. Putthepapermarkerontheoutsideof
transmitterwheretheinternalspaceisfree tofixtheextend boardanddrillthoseholes.
4.Connecttheantenna connectorattheportshowedinFigure3ontransmitterboard.

6.Fixthetransmitterantenna ontheconnector.Turnthetransmitterpoweronandcheck thepowerindicator
LEDofDIYextend board,theLEDisnormallylightorange.
4.4Rangecheck:
Forsafeoperation, itisnecessarytoperformpre-flightrangecheck.
Caution mustbepaidwhenflying theunit intheneighborhoodof metalfences,concretebuildings,orrowsof
trees. If doing so,youmayexperienceunexpectedinterferences.
Performarangecheck asfollows(Note:thisisdonewiththereceiverinstalledinthemodel):
a) Placethemodelatleasttwofeet(60cm)abovenon-metalcontaminatedground;forexampleawooden
bench.
b) Placethereceiver santenna horizontally.Dontlettheantenna touchtheground.
c) Placetheantenna ofthetransmitterinaverticalposition.
d) Turnon thetransmitterandreceiver,thenpress andholdthe “F/SRange”buttonofthetransmitterfor4
secondstheREDLEDof thetransmittermodulewill changeintoGREEN,thepowerofthetransmittermodule
willbereducedtoab. 1/1000thof thenominalvalue, and theeffectivedistancewill beshortenedtoab. 1/30th
ofthenormalvalue,thuseffectivedistancewill beshortenedtojustabove 30 meters.
e) Walkawayfromthemodelwhilesimultaneouslyoperatingthecontrolsonthetransmitter. Havean assistant
stand toconfirmthatallcontrolsarecompletelyandcorrectlyoperational.You shouldbeabletowalkab. 30m
fromthereceiverwithout losingcontrol.
f) Press the “F/SRange”buttonagain,therangecheck will befinished.
4.5Safetyrangeindicator
When themodelcontrolledbyV82.4GHzradiocontrolsystemisclosetothemaximumdistanceofcontrol,
theresponseofthemodelwillslowdown.It isthesafetyfeaturedesignedbyFrSky.It means, theusershouldfly
themodelclosertothetransmitterassoon,asthereactionsaregetting slower.
4.6Signallossindicator
Insomespecialcircumstances,suchasastronginterference,thesignalcan belost.
Whensignallostinashortperiod,thereceivercontinuestotrytosearchforthetransmitter,atthesametime,
keepsthelast commandfromtransmitter,until anewcommand isreceived.
Failsafe:
Ourreceiverssupport allthefailsafefunctionforeverychannel. Justdoitasbellow:
Afterthereceiverhasbeenbind,press brieflythe “F/SRange”buttonofthereceiver,theGREENLEDofthe
receiverwill flashtwice, thefailsafeisset upsuccessfully.
Ifyoudonot needthefailsafefunctionanymore,just re-bindthereceiver.
Attention: Controllingdistanceisaffectedbytheenvironmenttoo.Pleasetestitinan openfieldawayfromany
obstacles.Thecontrollingdistanceintheairisgreaterthan thatontheground. Ourcontrollingrangeisbasedon a
conservativegroundtest.
