1 | DESCRIPTION - FIELD OF APPLICATION
Personal protective equipment (PPE) used for fall
protection from height.
This device is a temporary anchorage device EN
795:2012 TYPE B made of a Ø8 mm rope with two
sewn termination buckles. It enables the user to
anchor itself, on any non-aggressive support (with
a min. resistance of 12 kN).
The rope itself can be also purchased cut at length
as an accessory cord for mountaineering (no sewn
terminations) as allowed by EN564:2014. Used as an
EN795:2012 TYPE B, this device is rated for a single
user only. This device is a personal issue item. This
device is intended to be used in tree care exclusively.
This product complies with the (EU) 2016/425
regulation on personal protective equipment.

4-A | EN 795:2012 TYPE B ANCHOR DEVICE
This device is a temporary anchor device (certified according to EN 795 :2012 Type B) for tree care exclusively (single user
only), and when cut at length it can be also used as Mountaineering equipment: Accessory cord EN 564:2014 (See §4-B).
It is not a standalone fall arrester. An energy absorbing device should be used in fall protection (EN 355).
• It allows anchoring of a single user only within the limits of its length on any non-damaging support structure having
a minimum strength of 12 kN and no sharp edges.
• When installing the device, make sure that the supports are stable (maximum load transmitted is approximately 8 kN).
• The product may elongate when under load: 0 to 10 mm maximum.
• The direction of the load is given by the direction of the rope.
• The anchor point for the system must be located above the user’s position.

• In a fall-arrest system, it is essential to check the required clearance below the user before each use, in order to avoid
hitting the ground or an obstacle in case of a fall.
• When the anchor device is used as part of a fall-arrest system, the user must be equipped with a means of limiting the
impact force, exerted on the user when the fall is arrested, to a maximum value of 6 kN.
• Make sure that the anchor point is correctly positioned, in order to limit the risk and the length of a fall. Be sure to stay
below the anchor point to reduce the risk of damaging the product in case of a fall.
• A full body harness (EN 361) is the only device allowable for supporting the body in a fall-arrest system according
to EN 363.
• It must be used in combination with standardized and compatible components: connector EN 362 and pulleys EN 12278
for example.
• The resistance of the product can be significantly reduced by forming knots. When using multiple items of equipment,
a dangerous situation can arise in which the safety function of an item of equipment can be aected by the safety
function of another item of equipment.
• The Instructions for Use for each item of equipment used in conjunction with this product must be followed.
• Users must be medically fit for activities at height. WARNING: inert suspension in a harness can result in serious injury
or death.
• The direction of the load is given by the direction of the rope.
• Before using the device, it is essential that users read this manual and comply with its instructions, in order to ensure
safe and ecient operation of the equipment.
• This manual must be kept and made available to all users. Additional copies can be supplied on request or are available
through our website.
• The Instructions for Use must be provided to the user of this equipment, in the language of the country where the
equipment is used.
• Make sure the markings on the product are legible.
• This product must only be used by competent and responsible persons, or those placed under the direct and visual
control of a competent and responsible person.
• You must have a rescue plan and the means to rapidly implement it in case of diculties encountered while using
this equipment.
• You are responsible for your actions, your decisions and your safety and you assume the consequences of same.
If you are not able, or not in a position to assume this responsibility, or if you do not fully understand the Instructions
for Use, do not use this equipment.
• Never use a device which is not visibly in good condition. It is recommended that a visual check is carried out before
each use (See inspection §).
• Before using this device, it is essential that users are trained in its use.

• This product must not be used as a belay rope (must not be used to arrest a fall).
• This product must not be pushed beyond its limits, nor be used for any purpose other than that for which it is designed.
• These instructions explain how to correctly use your equipment. Only certain techniques and uses are described.

• Ice and moisture : A wet or icy cord is weaker and less abrasion-resistant.

• The Instructions for Use for each item of equipment used in conjunction with this product must be followed.

5 | INSPECTION POINTS
Check the cord and safety stitching conditions. Look for any wear and damage due to use, heat and possibly by chemicals.
Any cut or loose thread or damaged thread must warn you not to use the product at all.
Carry out visual and tactile inspections.
Check the condition of the product along its entire length (including cover, and safety stitches).
Check that the product is set correctly and operate as needed. Check that the device is fixed to an anchorage point with
a minimum resistance of 12 kN. Check that the connector is correctly locked.
BEFORE EACH USE
Every 12 month, a complete check-up must be driven by a competent person (depending on current regulation in your
country and your conditions of usage).
Do not use a product that has not been inspected for the past 12 months.
The PPE checking reports must be written in the PPE check form joined with this product or available on the website
manufacturer. It must contain: type, model, manufacturer contact informations, serial number / individual number,
dates: of manufacture, purchase, first use, next periodic inspection; as well as problems, comments, inspector name and
signature. It is recommended to mark the product with the date of the last or next inspection, at least in the inspection
form §8 (Page 12).

DURING USE
You must always be warned to any wear that could appear during the use of the product. You must regularly monitor the
product and the equipment that’s interacts with it. Make sure every component is compatible, not only by its destination
but by its use, the way it is installed on the system, and the overall interactions between components. Check that there
is a second person nearby, in case he/she is needed for a rescue operation.
6 | STORAGE
The device must be stored away from adverse weather conditions and kept at a temperature of between -10°C and +40°C.
The device must be stored away from any sharp objects.
The device must be stored out of UV light sources, and away from any direct heat.
WARNING
AN EXCEPTIONAL EVENT CAN LEAD YOU TO RETIRE A PRODUCT AFTER ONLY ONE USE, DEPENDING ON THE TYPE AND
INTENSITY OF USAGE AND THE ENVIRONMENT OF USAGE (HARSH ENVIRONMENTS, MARINE ENVIRONMENTS, SHARP
EDGES, EXTREME TEMPERATURES, CHEMICALS...).
WHEN TO RETIRE YOUR EQUIPMENT
Generally, a product must be retired when:
• You have any doubt as to its reliability (visible or invisible).
• It has been subjected to a major event (a fall, for example).
• It fails to pass inspection.
• You do not know its full usage history.
• When it becomes obsolete due to changes in legislation, standards, technique or incompatibility with other equipment...
If retired or damaged, destroy the products to prevent further use.
This device can be used without restrictions from their manufacturing date providing that:
• A normal use is made in accordance with the instructions manual.
• A periodic inspection is carried out at least once a year by a qualified person. Following the inspection, the PPE product
must be recorded, in writing, as suitable for further use.
• Instructions manual procedures for storage and transport are strictly observed.

7 | MAINTENANCE - CLEANING - REPAIR
The device must be regularly maintained by the user.
The following maintenance operations should be performed:
• Clean the device with clean, cold soapy water. Afterwards, the product should be allowed to dry naturally, away from
any direct heat. Do not immerge the device in unknown / incompatible chemical products.
• In case of contamination of the product, consult the manufacturer or supplier.
• Make sure that lubricants do not come into contact with parts that rely on friction with rope and/or with textile
components.
8 | INSPECTION FORM
Annually inspect your device by a competent person familiar with the requirement in eect in order to verify its state
and conformity.

The product’s service life may be up to 3 years from the day the product was first taken out of the undamaged package,
and the product must be retired after no later than 3 years of having been used. It is assumed that the product is taken
out of the package at the time of the purchase. We recommend that you keep the original sales receipt which is the
proof of purchase.
Aramids are technical materials but are not UV resistant (incl. sunlight). Therefore, keep the rope protected against UV
and replace it immediately if discoloration, hardening, or yarn damage (abrasion of fiber parts, fibrillation, bleaching,
mechanical wear, etc.) occur. Mechanical wear and other influences such as the impact of sunlight will decrease the life
span considerably. After use, the product must be removed from the support.

Persönliche Schutzausrüstung (PSA) zum Schutz
gegen Absturz.
Dieses Produkt ist eine zeitlich begrenzte
Ankerungsvorrichtung gemäß EN 795:2012 TYP B
bestehend aus einem Klemmknotenseil Ø 8 mm
mit zwei vernähten Endaugen. Der Benutzer kann
hiermit eine Ankerung an einer nicht aggressiven
Struktur durchführen (mit einer Mindestbruchlast
von 12 kN).
Das Klemmknotenseil selbst kann am laufenden
Meter als Bergsteig- oder Kletterzubehörseil (ohne
vernähte Endaugen) gemäß EN 564:2014 gekauft
werden. Die Benutzung der Vorrichtung gemäß der
EN 795:2012 TYP B ist auf einen einzigen Benutzer
begrenzt. Diese Vorrichtung muss persönlich
zugewiesen werden. Diese Ausrüstung darf
ausschließlich für Baumpflegearbeiten benutzt
werden.

4-A | ZEITLICH BEGRENZTE ANKERUNG EN 795:2012 TYP B
Dieses Gerät ist eine zeitlich begrenzte Ankerungsvorrichtung (zertifiziert nach EN 795:2012 Typ B) für Baumpflegearbeiten
(nur ein Benutzer). Wenn es am Meter verkauft wird, kann es auch als Bergsteige- oder Kletterausrüstung verwendet
werden: Zubehör-Klemmknotenseil EN 564:2014 (siehe § 4-B).
Es handelt sich nicht um eine eigenständige Absturzsicherung. Zum Sturzauang muss ein Falldämpfer benutzt
werden (EN 355).
• Diese Vorrichtung ermöglicht die durch ihre Länge begrenzte Ankerung eines einzelnen Benutzers auf jeglicher nicht
aggressiver Struktur ohne scharfe Kanten und mit einer Mindestbruchlast von 12 kN.
• Überprüfen Sie die Stabilität der Strukturen, an denen Sie die Vorrichtung anbringen wollen (maximale übertragene
Last ca. 8 kN).
• Diese Vorrichtung kann sich unter Spannung verlängern: 0 bis maximal 10 mm.
• Die Beanspruchung erfolgt in Richtung des Klemmknotenseils.
• Der Ankerpunkt des Systems muss sich oberhalb der Position des Benutzers befinden.

• Bei Benutzung eines Sturzauangsystems muss unbedingt vor jeder Benutzung überprüft werden, dass im Fall eines
Sturzes unter dem Benutzer genug Freiraum vorhanden ist, um einen Aufprall auf den Boden oder andere Hindernisse
auszuschließen.

Ausrüstungen zusammen verwendet, besteht das Risiko, dass die Sicherheitsfunktion einer Ausrüstung durch die
Sicherheitsfunktion einer anderen Ausrüstung beeinträchtigt wird.
