1INTRODUCTION
The STRAPLINK is a useful tool for tree dismantling, it brings comfort in creating an axis (the trunk) that allows the
climber to rotate when working. This way it gives more ease of movement. It also secures the climber in reducing
the potential height of a fall (in case the gas slip out).
2TECHNICAL DATA
• For use on a trunk of diameter > 20 cm.
• Main strap: polyamide, 20 mm wide, black.
• Steel adjustment buckles: black cataphoretic treatment.
• Working Load Limit (WLL) of the product: 500 kg.
• Weight: 62 g (without carabiner).
The STRAPLINK is an adjustable system that can choke a steel-core lanyard during tree dismantling. It is used
to rapidly put a lanyard under tension, thus preventing the user to slip down, and also improves the ease of
movement at work.

4USE
The STRAPLINK must be used:
• Only after having read and understood these instructions.
• By competent people trained in working at heights.
• Inspected by a competent user trained in working at heights before each use.
• After a fall, the material must be inspected and changed if damaged.
• With a triple lock carabiner (EN362) in the strap loop designed for this purpose.
• On a single steel-core lanyard and by only one person.
All users must be in good physical and mental condition and have no medical contraindications to working at
heights.
5PRECAUTIONS
Pulling too hard on the loosening handle can cause a jolt. The user must control the adjustment progressivity in
order to avoid any danger. If necessary, test the product outside the work situation.
• NEVER USE a STRAPLINK if it is damaged or dysfunctional.
• NEVER USE the STRAPLINK for any other work than that recommended by the manufacturer.
• NEVER MODIFY or transform the STRAPLINK in any way.
• The STRAPLINK IS NO PPE for fall arrest. It can never be used as a anchor.
6CARE
• A good care and an proper storage of the product will ensure a longer product life.
• Hand wash with clean water and delicate washing powder. Do not use acidic or basic solvents.
• Do not machine wash. Do not put in the dryer.
• Dry naturally in a well-ventilated place far from any source of heat or ultraviolet light.
7STORAGE / TRANSPORT
During transport and/or storage, place the STRAPLINK far away from: shocks, crushing, grinding, rubbing, dam-
pness, heat, ultra-violet rays, corrosive materials, hydrocarbons, acids, sand, tools, any other sharp objects that
could damage it. Keep away from corrosive, over-heated or refrigerated environments.

8LIFESPAN AND DISPOSAL
• CAUTION: in case of an exceptional event, the product may have to be discarded (significant fall, cutting etc.).
• The STRAPLINK must be inspected by the user before each use.
• The STRAPLINK must be discarded if the inspection is unsatisfactory or if there is any doubt about the reliabi-
lity of the product.
• THE STRAPLINK HAS A LIFESPAN OF 5 YEARS.
• It is recommended to destroy any discarded product (damaged or end of life cycle) in order to prevent it from
being used again.
9GUARANTEE
The STRAPLINK is guaranteed for two years against any manufacturer defects. The guarantee excludes: normal
wear, modifications, inadequate storage, poor care and damage due to accidents, negligence, or uses other than
this product is intended for.

The STRAPLINK can be positioned on the side of the adjustment system or of the carabiner.
11 SETTING UP THE STRAPLINK
Do it a second time to make a prusik knot.

Position the STRAPLINK without the carabiner
under the lanyard.
The strap loop for the carabiner is on the left,
with the slack and the large loop is on the right side.

Pull the carabiner loop above the lanyard
and through the large loop in a girth hitch.

Set the carabiner in its loop. Clip the carabiner on the opposite side of the lanyard.

To choke the lanyard, pull on the red strap. To loosen it, pull on the blue strap.

RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended to position the STRAPLINK as close as possible to the
trunk and to adjust its length only as the last set-up step.
To move the STRAPLINK as close as possible to the trunk
it is possible to push the prusik knot with one hand
and the carabiner with the other.
TIP FOR STORAGE
Clip the carabiner to the red strap
and then to the lanyard carabiner.
