Place fiber on Single
Fiber Adapter.
Hold the fiber tightly.
Then move stripper into
the direction indicated
by the arrow mark.

safe and correct manner in order to prevent harm to yourself and others.

⑫ Remove the fiber.
⑪ Press
key or icon.
⑩ Transfer fiber to heater.
⑨ Slide protection sleeve over
splice point.
⑧ Remove spliced fiber.
⑦ Press key or icon.
⑥ Set fibers in splicer.
⑤ Prepare the fibers.
④ Insert protection sleeve.
③ Perform Arc Check.

The edge of the fiber coating should
match with the edge of the tight holder.

Select applicable heater program.
< Fusion Program>
Tap the fusion program area on the
touchscreen, or press key and
select Fusion Program.
< Heater Program>
Select applicable fusion program.
Open the windshield
and set the fibers.
Then enter “Arc Check”.
Splicer automatically feeds
the fibers and discharges
an arc.
The result is indicated.
If the result is negative, the
machine will automatically
adjust the arc power. Please
perform the arc check again.
Procedure for Changing Programs
Arc Check
An arc check is the function to adjust the arc power in order to ensure optimal splicing
results. Electrode wear and environmental conditions such as temperature, humidity,
and altitude, may affect the arc power.
Please perform the Arc Check at the beginning of your working day.
Tap the heater program area on the
touchscreen, or press key and
select Heater Program

To ensure optimal splicing results

Clean V-groove by using the cleaning brush
provided or a cotton swab soaked with ethanol.
Run fiber across V-groove to
remove dust in V-groove.
Clean Fiber Clamps by
using a cotton swab
soaked with ethanol.
Remove the electrode form the electrode
holder. Then replace with a new electrode.
After replacement, press the key 10 times,
after closing the windshield to remove any dust.
< Replacement of Electrodes>
Stick the tip of the electrode into
the electrode sharpener and
turn/twist the electrode 3-4 times.

Remove both electrodes and V-groove.
Then clean Objective Lens by using
cotton swab soaked with ethanol.
