STEP | 01 LAYOUT AND INSTALL PREP
1.1 Clean Up: Startbycleaningtherearpanelsofanydirtand
debris.
1.2 Marking Points: Measureandmarktwospots3/8”fromthe
seamoftheupperplasticpaneland1/2”fromtherearbumper
plastictothemetalbodypanel(FIG 1).Thesemarkswillhelp
toguidetemplateplacement.
1.3 Template Alignment: Usetapetolineupthetemplate
paralleltotheplasticbodypanelsalongthemarks.Visualize
howthelockerwillfitonthevanandmakeadjustmentsas
necessary(FIG 2).
1.4 Tape Perimeter: Tapetheperimeterofthetemplate,leaving
drillholesexposed.Markallholeswithasharpie(FIG 3).
1.5 Cutting Path: Tracearoundtheinsideofthetemplateto
markthecuttingpath.Ensurethetemplateisflatagainstthe
van.
1.6 Remove Template: Carefullyremovethetemplate.You
shouldbeleftwithmarkingsasshownin(FIG 4).
NOTE - All figures depict driver side installation. The passenger
side follows the same steps, just mirrored.

2.1 Center Punch: LightlycenterpunchholesusingaCenter
Punch (FIG 5,6).
2.2 Drilling: Drilloutholesusinga7/32” Drill Bit (FIG 7,8).
NOTE - When drilling the holes next to the wheel well, be sure to
only drill through one layer of sheet metal.

STEP | 03 CUTTING PANEL
3.1 Corner Guides: Drilloutcornerguideholeswithastepbitto
1/2”usingthetracedarchofthecuttinglineasavisualguide
(FIG 9,10).Thiswillserveasyourcornerguidewhencutting
outthepanel.
3.2 Body Saw: Useabodysaworanglegrinderwithametal
cuttingwheeltocutthetopandbottomhorizontallinesofthe
panelfirst.Proceedtocuttheleftandrightsides.Carefully
holdtheoppositeendofmetalonthelastcuttostabilize(FIG
11,12).
NOTE - Be sure to only be cutting through one layer of sheet
metal during this process.
NOTE - We recommend using a pneumatic or electric saw for
this step. We like the Astro Pneumatic Tool 930 Air Body Saber
Saw, but most saws with metal-cutting blades will work.

STEP | 04 DEBURR AND CLEANUP
4.1 Deburr and Cleanup: Deburrthenewlycutholeandclean
upshavingsinsidecompartment(FIG 13,14).
NOTE - If you find that the cut is uneven, you can clean up the
edge with a die grinder.
4.2 Mask Van Body: Remaskperimeterwithtape(FIG 15).
4.3 Rust Prevention: Paintrawedgesofdrillholesandcutlines
withrustpreventativepaint(FIG 16).
PRO-TIP: Optionally, wipe down and paint the inner
compartment in a well-ventilated area.

5.1 Gather Components: Gatherthefaceplate,gasket,and
backerplates(FIG 17).
5.2 Mount Face Plate: InsertM5-0.8 X 20 Button Head Hex
Drive Screws inthelocationsshowninFIG 17 toholdthedoor
againstthevanbody(mirroredforpassengerside).
5.3 Gasket Placement: PlacetheGasketontoboltsfromthe
inside compartment (FIG 18).
5.4 Install Backer Plates: Looselyinstallbackerplateswith
Washers And Nuts (FIG 19).
5.5 Alignment: Ifthere’sanalignmentissue,drilloutholes
asneeded(avoidbackingplates).UseLoctite onscrewsthat
attachtopemnuts(FIG 20).
5.6 Assembly: Applypressuretoflextheassemblyintoplace
whentighteningscrews.Tightennutswithan8mm Wrench
and2.5mm Allen Wrench untilsnug.

STEP | 06 ADJUSTMENTS AND TUNING
6.1 Latch Compression: Usinga10MM Wrench,loosentheJam
Nut (FIG 21) toadjusttheCompression Bolt andretightenthe
nutwhenadjustmentiscomplete.
NOTE - Screw the bolt out to increase seal compression and
screw the bolt in to decrease seal compression.
6.2 Hinge Bolts: Thehingescanbeadjustedusinga10MM
Wrench and 3MM Allen Wrench.TightentheHinge Pivot Bolt
toincreasetorque,loosenHinge Pivot Bolt todecreasetorque
(FIG 21).
