Task 1
•Hold faceplate up to the door making sure that the correct
faceplate is used. i.e. outside faceplate to outside door face.
(The outside faceplate is the one with the sliding cover).
Turn the lever in the required direction until it “clicks” into
place. Do this for both the outside and inside faceplates.
•If rehanding is required, insert a flat blade screwdriver under
handing plate and twist. Rotate lever towards top of the
faceplate and remove screwdriver. Continue to rotate lever
for 180° until it “clicks” into place.
•Position and hold the inside G+ Lockset onto the door
face to determine the most suitable height of the lock
(this height will vary depending on the door style).
•Carefully make a mark on the door frame at the same
height as the door lever.
•Remove the G+ Lockset.
•Position the template supplied (see packaging) on the
door frame so that the lever height centreline aligns with
the lever height mark you made in the previous step.
•Firmly hold the template and mark the 2 Power Transfer
Unit heights (top markings) and the 2 Strike heights
(bottom markings) on the frame.
•Remove the template and measure the door thickness.
Divide this size in half and measure this size from the jam.
(Take note of any weather strips that may be fitted to the
door jam). Mark this position on the 2 Power Transfer Unit
markings and the 2 Strike markings. (Diagram 3)
•Drill the 2 top holes diameter 1 inch through the frame.
•Drill the 2 bottom holes diameter 1 inch by 20mm deep
(or through if the frame thickness is near this size).
•Chisel wood to join the 2 top holes (power transfer
unit holes).
•Chisel wood to join the 2 bottom holes (strike holes).
NOTE: If the Door Frame has previously been prepared, then
go straight to Step 4. (i.e. if there are 2 holes in the door frame)
NOTE: The door furniture faceplate levers are supplied in a
neutral position. These need to be “handed” before installation.

•Mark and chisel a recess of 4mm for the Power Transfer
Unit faceplate. (So that the Power Transfer Unit faceplate
is flush with frame edge face). Use the Power Transfer Unit
as a template.
•Mark and chisel a recess of 1.5mm for the Strike. (So that
the Strike is flush with frame edge face). Use the Strike
as a template.
•Connect the In-line Power Unit to the Power Point.
•If there isn’t a power point available, then a qualified
electrician must be used to install one. The power point
can be located in the ceiling as shown in the diagram
above. Other possible locations for the In-line Power
Unit could include:
– Under the floor
– Behind a panel in the wall.
•Locate the wire from the In-line Power Unit. This will
be in the door frame cavity. Pull the end of the wire out
through the top hole in the door frame.
•Connect the Power Transfer Unit to the wire from the
In-line Power Unit.
•Insert the Power Transfer Unit into the door frame. As you
do this, carefully guide the excess wire back into the door
frame cavity. Fix using 2 black wood screws from KIT D.
•Insert the strike and fix using 2 wood screws from KIT A.
NOTE: Do not over tighten these screws. Do not use power tools.

with the MIDDLE of the strike on the door frame.
•Firmly hold template and mark on door face the hole centre
points. Without moving the template, open the door and
mark latch height and Battery Box height on door edge.

•Insert the latch making sure that the tapered (bevelled)
side of the latch faces towards the door frame when the
door is open.
•Fix using 2 wood screws from KIT A.
•Insert the Battery Box.
The wires exiting the Battery Box should face towards
the outside of the door. Wrap the wires over the top of the
Battery Box and pass the connector through the top hole
on the inside door face. (The wires will now be coming
through to the inside). See Step 11.

must be positioned such that one notch faces upwards, and
the other notch faces towards to latch side (door opening).
•Mount and hold the outside faceplate onto the outside
door face. Assemble the mounting plate to the outside face
plate. Make sure the connector wires pass through the large
rectangular hole in the mounting plate and that the spindle
engages the outside lever.
•Fit 2 mounting screws from KIT B and tighten.
•Insert key into the inside faceplate and turn clockwise.
Leave key in this position.
•Assemble the connector from the Battery Box with the
connector on the faceplate. Make sure they are firmly
pressed together.
•Hold the faceplate flush against the door face making sure
that wires from the Battery Box are not trapped. The key can
now be turned back to the vertical position and removed.
The faceplate is now temporarily secured and will not fall
if let go.

•Installing the batteries into the G+ Keys.
•Remove the battery compartment cover by twisting
anti-clockwise and lifting off.
•Insert two batteries + side up (as per diagram above).
•Replace the battery compartment cover and twist
clockwise to lock.
•Perform the following steps to program G+ Keys to
the lockset.
1The teach button is accessed through the small hole in
the face plate of the Battery Box Transmitter (on the door).
To place the lockset into teach mode, press and hold the
teach button with a paper clip, or similar, until the lockset
emits a teach confirmation sound (1 long; 2 short beeps)
then release the teach button. This should take approximately
3 seconds.
2On the first G+ Key to be taught, press buttons 4 & 5
(diagram 17). These buttons must be pressed simultaneously
until the lockset emits a single beep.
3Repeat step 2 for each G+ Key to be taught. Each additional
G+ Key must be added within the 10 seconds otherwise
the lockset will time out and replace any previously taught
G+ Keys with the keys taught in this session.
4Once the last G+ Key has been taught, wait for the
lockset to emit the teach mode session finish beeps,
(1 long; 1 short; 1 long).
Teach mode

Press these two
buttons together
NOTE:
• If no G+ Keys are taught during the teach session, the lockset
will revert back to any previously taught G+ Keys.
• For doors up to 40mm thick use 2 “short” screws.
• For doors 40mm and over use 2 “long” screws.
NOTE: You have 10 seconds to perform steps 2 and 3 before teach
mode times out and reverts back to any previously taught G+ Keys.
