Thepossibilityofkeepingtheevaporatorontheinsideallowsyounottoaddglycoltothewaterinthesystem,with
clearadvantagesintermsofthermodynamicperformance,preservationfromcorrosionandrespectforthe
environment.Italsomakesitpossibleforallthecomponentsrequiringmaintenancetobeinstalledinaneasily
accessiblespace.
Chillerunitscanbeappliedevenwhennodissipationsourceotherthanairisavailable:awaterDry‐Coolerprovides
thermalexchangewiththeatmospherewhilemaintainingacompact‐sizedcircuit.
Forlargebuildings,air‐conditioningcanbeimplementedasthefloors/zonesaresoldorrentedbyinstallingaLEWunit
foreachfloorinasmallsizetechnicalroom,thusspreadingtheinvestmentovertime.Theoveralldimensionsofthe
units(lessthan90cmdepthinthehigheroutputsizes)makethemeasytobeinstalledsincetheyfitthroughanydoor.

1.2 Structure
AllLEWseriesunitshavetheloadbearingbaseandpanellingingalvanisedsheetmetalpaintedwithpolyesterpowders
andpolymerisedintheovenat180°C.Theunithasanattractivedesignandwhenclosedallthecomponentsare
inaccessible.This,alongwiththeextensiveuseofsoundproofingmaterialinsidethecompartmentandaroundthe
compressors(availableforthelow‐noiseversion),reducessoundtoexceptionallylowlevels(Lp<67dB‐A@1metrefor
biggersizes).
Thehydraulic/chillerconnectionsareenvisionedontherightside,whenlookingattheelectricalcontrolboard,to
reducethetechnicalspacerequiredforinstallation.Allthepanelsareremovable(exceptfortheoneontheright,upon
whichallthehydraulicconnectionsarefitted)makingtheunitfullyaccessibleeventhoughroutinemaintenanceonly
needsaccessingfromthefront.
1.3 Cooling circuit
Thecoolingcircuitismanufacturedinourfactory,withtopbrandcomponentsandoperatorstrained,accordingto
Directive97/23,onallthebrazingoperations.
Therangecanbeconfiguredinthecoolingcircuitmode(EfficiencyPack)which,dependingonthesize,canbeadual
compressoronadoublecircuit(EfficiencyPack1)forahighlyredundantsystem,dualcompressor(tandem)onsingle
circuit(EfficiencyPack2)forgreaterefficiencyinpartialloads,threecompressors(trio)onsinglecircuit(EfficiencyPack
3)combiningeconomicalimplementationandpartialloadefficiencyandfourcompressors(twotandems)onadouble
circuit(EfficiencyPack4)forasystemwhichisbothredundantandefficientwiththereducedload.
