The Iargerslot inthe adapter must be
aligned with the Iargerslot inthe wall
receptacle to provide proper polarity
in the connection of the power cord.
CAUTiON: Attaching adapter
ground terminal to wall receptacle
cover screw does not ground the
appliance unless cover screw is
metal, and not insulated, and wall
receptacle is grounded through
house wiring. Youshould have
the circuit checked by aqualified
electrician to makesure the recep-
tacle is properly grounded.
When disconnectingthe power
cordfromthe adapter,always hold
the adapter with one hand. If this
is not done, the adapter ground
terminal is very likely to break
with repeated use.
should the adapter ground
terminal break, Do NOT USE the
appliance until apruper ground

Becauseof potential safety hazards
ur]dercertain conditions,westrongly
recommend againstthe useof an
extension cord. However,if you still
elect to usean extension cord, it is
absolutely necessarythat it be a UL
listed 3-wire grounding type appli-
ance extension cord and that the
current carrying rating of the cord in
amperesbe equalto or greater than
the branchcircuit sizeshownon the
rating nameplate of the appliance.
Suchextension cords are obtain-
able through your local service
organization.
