OR WINE CHILLER
Child entrapment and suffocation are not
problems of the past. Junked or abandoned
refrigeration products are still dangerous… even
if they ill sit for “just a fe days.” If you are
getting rid of your old appliance, please follo
the instructions belo to help prevent accidents.

HOW TO CONNECT ELECTRICITY
Do not, under any circumstances, cut or remove t e t ird (ground) prong from t e power cord.
For personal safety, t is appliance must be properly grounded.
The po er cord of this appliance is equipped
ith a 3-prong (grounding) plug hich mates
ith a standard 3-prong (grounding) all outlet
to minimize the possibility of electric shock
hazard from this appliance.
Have the all outlet and circuit checked by a
qualified electrician to make sure the outlet is
properly grounded.
If you have only a standard 2-prong all outlet,
it is your personal responsibility and obligation
to have it replaced ith a properly grounded
3-prong all outlet.
NOTE: GFI (ground fault interrupter is not
recommended.
The appliance should al ays be plugged into
its o n individual electrical outlet hich has
a voltage rating that matches the rating plate.
This provides the best performance and also
prevents overloading house iring circuits hich
could cause a fire hazard from overheated ires.
Never unplug your appliance by pulling on
the po er cord. Al ays grip plug firmly and
pull straight out from the outlet.
Repair or replace immediately all po er cords

Tempered glass shelves in the beverage center
unit are removable for easy cleaning or for storing
larger items.
To remove a shelf, open the door completely to
avoid potential damage to the gasket. Lift up on the
back of the shelf slightly. Tilt the shelf to one side at
an angle hile pulling for ard.
To replace a shelf, open the door completely to
avoid potential damage to the gasket. Tilt the shelf
to one side at an angle and slide to ard the back
all, placing one side onto the shelf support. Place
the other side onto the opposite shelf support.
Ensure rear locking tabs are engaged. When
installed properly, the shelf ill not slide for ard
hen gently pulled.

The operating temperatures of the beverage
center range from the lo forties to the mid
fifties. This appliance is not a refrigerator and
does not maintain temperatures like a refrigerator
(belo 41°F).
Do not install the beverage center here the
temperature ill go belo 55°F (13°C) or above
90°F (32°C).
As ith any refrigeration-type product, there is a
slight temperature variance at different locations
ithin the cabinet.
The coolest area ill be in the lo er part of the
cabinet.
The cooler area ill be in the middle section.
The upper part of the cabinet is the armest
section.
When the temperature is adjusted, allo 24 hours
for the unit to stabilize.
To set the control, turn it to the midpoint setting
(approximately 45ºF). Once the beverage center is
loaded, allo at least 24 hours before making any
adjustments to the initial setting.
NOTES:
• This unit is designed for storing and cooling
beverages. It is not intended for the storage of
perishable foods.
• The lo est temperatures are found on the
lo er shelves/racks and to ard the rear of the
shelves/racks.

The temperature range of the ine chiller
is from the lo forties to the mid sixties. This
appliance is not a refrigerator and does not
maintain temperatures like a refrigerator
(belo 41°F ).
Do not install the ine chiller here the
temperature ill go belo 55°F (13°C) or
above 90°F (32°C).
The RED WINE setting ill provide a temperature
of approximately 55ºF (13ºC), hich is the optimum
storage temperature for red ine.
The WHITE WINE setting ill provide a temperature
of approximately 45ºF (7ºC), hich is the optimum
serving temperature for hite ine.
As ith any refrigeration-type product, there is
a slight temperature variance at different locations
ithin the cabinet.
Temperatures at the bottom of the cabinet ill be
cooler than temperatures at the top of the cabinet.
Position your ine inventory accordingly (i.e. hite
ines in the cooler zones and red in the armer
zones).
To set the control, turn it to the RED WINE setting.
Once the bottles are loaded, allo at least 24 hours
before making any adjustments to the initial
setting.
NOTE: This unit is designed for storing and cooling
beverages. It is not intended for the storage of
perishable foods.
Suggested storing and serving temperatures
for wine
• If you plan to drink the ine in less than
2 months, use the appropriate red or hite
setting based on the ine type.
• If you plan to store the ine for more than
2 months, use the storing and serving guide belo .
Temperature Control
The top five full extension dra ers each
hold eight bottles, t o deep ith the necks
alternating front to back or nine bottles,
alternating ith necks pointing in ard.
The bottom t o full extension dra ers hold
six bottles each and are loaded ith necks facing
the rear. Tall bottles should not be loaded on the
bottom dra er because they may prevent the
door from closing.

• The bottles on the top full extension dra er,
directly under the light, ill be exposed to a
slightly higher temperature hen the light
is on. Position your ines accordingly and
remember to turn off the light hen it is no
longer needed.
• Keep ines that you plan to use for everyday
drinking and entertaining on the front half of the
full extension dra ers here labels are
completely visible. Place ines for aging or
longer term storage in the rear.
• Do not allo children to climb, stand or hang on
the ine chiller full extension dra ers. They
could seriously injure themselves and possibly
cause damage to the ine chiller.

Controls and features—Beverage Center and Wine Chiller.
The full extension dra er fronts on
the beverage center and ine chiller are
unfinished beech ood. During use, oil from
hands may accumulate and stain the ood.
•The dra er fronts may be stained and
sealed to match adjacent cabinetry. The
tinted glass ill make the stained ood
appear darker. A true color match can
be seen only hen the door is opened.
•Apply the stain and sealer according to
the manufacturer’s instructions. To avoid
unpleasant odor, keep the door open to
ventilate and allo the stain/sealer to dry
completely before using the product.
NOTE: Natural ood may vary slightly in grain
and color.
Wood Drawer Fronts
All of the full extension dra ers pull out
so bottles can be conveniently added or
removed.
Any of the full extension dra ers can be
removed to store larger bottles.
To remove:
1. Pull the full extension dra er out to the
STOP position.
2. Push the tab on right dra er guide do n
hile pulling the tab on left guide up, and
pull the dra er out.
To replace:
1. Push the dra er slide arm back into
the unit.
2. Pull the small slide sub-assembly
completely for ard.
3. Insert the sides of the dra er back into
the guides.
4. Push until the tabs lock into place.
NOTE: Make sure the tabs on the full
extension dra er guides are fully engaged
before loading any bottles. Pull the dra ers
out all the ay to the STOP position and push
back in several times to make sure locking
tabs are properly engaged.
Removing Full Extension Drawers
The interior light makes it easy to vie your
ine and/or beverage labels and enhances
the display of your collection.
When the s itch is in the OFF position,
the light comes on only hen the door is
opened. When the s itch is in the ON position,
the light remains on continuously for your
maximum vie ing pleasure. For best vie ing,
do not store a bottle on the top shelf directly
under the light. Remember to turn off the light
hen it is no longer needed.

IMPORTANT: Unplug the everage center
or wine chiller efore cleaning.
Keep the outside clean. The cabinet can
be ashed ith mild soap and ater. Rinse
thoroughly ith clean ater. Never use
abrasive scouring po ders.
Use a glass cleaner or mild soap and ater
and a soft cloth to clean the glass door. Do
not use any abrasive po ders.
Wipe the controls ith a damp cloth. Dry
thoroughly. Do not use cleaning sprays,
large amounts of soap and ater, abrasives
or sharp objects on the panel—they can
damage it. Some paper to els can also
scratch the control panel.
Do not wipe t e beverage center or wine
c iller wit a soiled dis clot or towel.
T ese may leave a residue t at can
erode t e paint. Do not use scouring pads,
powdered cleaners, bleac or cleaners
containing bleac because t ese products
can scratc and weaken t e paint finis .
Stainless steel. Regularly clean and polish
the stainless steel areas (on some models)
ith a commercially available stainless
steel cleaner such as Stainless Steel Magic®
to preserve and protect the fine finish.
Stainless Steel Magic®is available through
GE Parts and Accessories, 800.626.2002, or
ge.com. Order part number WX10X15.
Do not use appliance ax or polish on the
stainless steel.
Cleaning the Outside
IMPORTANT: Unplug the everage center or
wine chiller efore cleaning.
The vinyl door gasket may be cleaned
ith mild soap and ater or a baking soda
solution. Rinse ell.
After cleaning the door gasket, apply a thin
layer of paraffin ax or petroleum jelly to the
door gasket at the hinge side. This helps keep
the gasket from sticking and bending out of
shape.
Use a slightly damp cloth or sponge hen
cleaning around s itches, lights or controls.
Use arm ater and baking soda solution—
about a tablespoon (15 ml) of baking soda
to a quart (1 liter) of ater. This both cleans
and neutralizes odors. Thoroughly rinse and
ipe dry.
Other parts of the everage center or wine
chiller unit—including the full extension
dra ers and glass shelves—can be cleaned
the same ay.
Avoid cleaning cold glass shelves with hot
water ecause the extreme temperature
difference may cause them to reak. Handle
glass shelves carefully. Rough handling of
tempered glass can cause it to shatter.
Do not use detergents, scouring powders,
spray cleaners or other harsh chemicals to
clean the interior.
Cleaning the Inside
Drain hole
Periodically check the drain hole and
channel for any debris. If the drain is blocked,
condensation ill not drain properly.
To check and clean the drain hole, remove
the bottom t o glass shelves or bottom t o
full extension dra ers. S eep a damp cloth
along the channel in the back of the beverage
center. Use a finger to s eep a ay any debris
from the drain hole.

THE INSTALLATION SPACE
The cutout depth should be 24″
The cutout dimensions sho n allo for a full door s ing and
access to the pull-out racks hen installed as a built-in in
standard 24″deep cabinets.
• The door should protrude 2-1/4″beyond the surrounding
cabinets. For easy reference, the back edge of the pocket
handle should protrude a minimum of 5/8″beyond the
front edge of the countertop.
• If installing bet een frameless cabinets, a 1/2″ide
filler strip or side panel may be needed on hinge side.
The filler strip ill act as a spacer bet een the case and
adjacent cabinet door s ing. The idth of the opening
must include the filler panels. NOTE: The door should
protrude 2-1/4″beyond the surrounding cabinets.
• The beverage center and ine chiller can be installed
freestanding.
Additional Specifications
• A 120 volt 60Hz., 15 or 20 amp po er supply is required.
An individual properly grounded branch circuit or circuit
breaker is recommended. Install a properly grounded
3-prong electrical receptacle recessed into the back
all as sho n. Electrical must be located on rear all
as sho n. NOTE: GFI (ground fault interrupter is not
recommended.

STAINING WOOD DRAWER FRONTS

REVERSE DOOR SWING
SKIP THIS STEP IF DOOR SWING SUITS THE INSTALLATION
Parts Included:
• Top left case hinge
• Bottom left case hinge
• Left and right side decorative hinge cover
• Decorative hinge scre hole cover
• Torx®driver bit
Tools Required:
• Phillips scre driver
• Electric drill
To remove the door:
• Flatten the shipping carton to use as a pad.
• Remove the 2 scre s and the toekick. Set aside the scre s
and toekick for final installation.
• Use the supplied Torx®bit and electric drill to remove
the 3 scre s holding the top case hinge. Lift off the hinge.
(Scre s ill be used to install the ne hinge.)
• Lift the door off the bottom case hinge.
• Remove the bottom case hinge pin and bracket.
To reinstall the door:
1. Remove the door stop and cam riser on the bottom right
side of the door.
2. Remove the bottom fill plug on the bottom left side of
the door.
3. Reinstall the original door stop and cam riser onto the
bottom left side of the door.
4. Reinstall the bottom fill plug on the bottom right side of
the door.
5. Remove the top fill plug on the top left side of the door.
6. Reinstall the top fill plug on the top right side.
7. Install the ne supplied bottom case hinge pin and
bracket onto bottom left side. Ensure plastic cam riser
is on the case hinge pin.
8. Place the door onto the bottom case hinge.
9. Install the supplied left-hand top case hinge ith the
3 original scre s.
10. Select the hinge cover marked ith an “L”.
11. Peel backing off the tape inside the decorative hinge cover.
12. Press and snap the hinge cover into
place.
13. Snap the scre hole cover into
place on the opposite side.
IMPORTANT: Check to be sure scre s
are tight and that the door is straight
and does not sag. The door should s ing freely.

LEVEL
• Use an adjustable rench to turn the leveling legs and
raise or lo er the product.
• Adjust carefully; the product should be level and plumb
ith cabinetry, and should align ith adjacent toekick
height.

• Select the hinge cover marked “R” or “L”, depending on
door s ing.
• Peel backing off the tape inside the decorative hinge cover.
Press and snap into position.
CONNECT POWER
• Connect po er cord plug to a properly grounded
receptacle.
• Make sure po er is on by opening the door to see if
interior light turns on.

SLIDE PRODUCT INTO THE CUTOUT
• Carefully slide the unit into the opening. Be careful not
to entangle po er cord.
• Make certain that the door protrudes 1″beyond the
surrounding cabinets.
• Check again to be sure the unit is level.

SET TEMPERATURE CONTROLS
• The temperature controls are preset. Refer to the
Temperature Control section for more information.
