GEARWRENCH D-Ring Web Tethers are only intended for use as part of a tool tethering system, and installed on tools as part of a
tether connection point. GEARWRENCH D-Ring Web Tethers are NOT a 1 step tethering solution. GEARWRENCH D-Ring Web Tethers
should always be secured to a tool with self sealing tether tape and follow proper installation instruction.
GEARWRENCH Self Sealing Tape is only intended to be used as part of a tool tethering system and installed on tools as part of a
tether connection point. GEARWRENCH Self Sealing Tape is NOT a 1 step tethering solution. GEARWRENCH Self Sealing Tether Tape
should only be used to secure a tether connection point and only installed following proper installation instructions.
GEARWRENCH D-Ring Web Tethers has a maximum working load limit of the following:
88751 - Dual D Ring Web Tether 2-1/4”, 10PC (2 lbs. , 0.9kg)
88752 - D Ring Web Tether 2-1/4”, 10PC (2 lbs. , 0.9kg)

GEARWRENCH Self Sealing Tape has a maximum working load limit of the following:
88721 - Tether Self Sealing Tape (5 lbs. , 2.26kg) * If any component of the tethering systems maximum load limit is under
5lbs. (2.26kg), follow the lowest maximum load limit of any item included in the tethering system
88722 - Tether Self Sealing Tape, Extra Long (5 lbs. , 2.26kg) * If any component of the tethering systems maximum load
limit is under 5lbs. (2.26kg), follow the lowest maximum load limit of any item included in the tethering system
Installation Instructions using GEARWRENCH Seal Sealing Tether Tape 88721/88722 with
GEARWRENCH D-Ring Web Tethers 88751/8872/88753
1. Measure the tool diameter of the tool to have the tether point added
2. Cut off a strip of GEARWRENCH Self Sealing Tether Tape that is 10x the diameter of the of the tool diameter
3. Place the GEARWRENCH D-Ring Web Tether on the tool with the tab facing up & the metal d-ring loop facing the part of
the tool that would pointing toward the users body when tool is in use
4. Remove plastic backing from the GEARWRENCH Self Sealing Tether Tape
5. Wrap the GEARWRENCH Self Sealing Tether Tape around the GEARWRENCH D-Ring Web Tether, beginning the first wrap in
the indentation of the center of the nylon web, and continue wrapping the GEARWRENCH Self Sealing Tether Tape
applying moderate pressure until all of the pre cut and measured GEARWRENCH Self Sealing Tether Tape has been
wrapped around the GEARWRENCH D-Ring Web Tether.
6. After connection point is complete with the GEARWRENCH D-Ring Web Tether and GEARWRENCH Self Sealing Tether Tape
test the connection point prior to use.
GEARWRENCH Heat Shrink can be added to extended the life of your connection point and provides additional
protection for tools used in harsh environments or that are in contact with abrasives. GEARWRENCH Heat Shrink
is sold separately.

Instructions d’installation du ruban autoadhésif GEARWRENCH 88721/88722 avec
les sangles à anneau en D GEARWRENCH 88751/8872/88753
1. Mesurer le diamètre de l’outil auquel on ajoutera un point de liaison
2. Couper une bande de ruban autoadhésif GEARWRENCH correspondant à 10 fois le diamètre de l’outil.
3. Placer la sangle à anneau en D GEARWRENCH sur l’outil avec la patte orientée vers le haut et la boucle à anneau en D en
métal orientée vers la partie de l’outil qui pointerait vers le corps de l’utilisateur pendant que ce dernier l’utilise.
4. Enlever la pellicule de plastique du ruban autoadhésif GEARWRENCH.
5. Enrouler le ruban autoadhésif GEARWRENCH autour de la sangle à anneau en D GEARWRENCH, en commençant le
premier tour dans le creux au centre de la toile en nylon et continuer à enrouler le ruban en exerçant une pression
modérée jusqu’à ce que toute la bande précoupée et mesurée de ruban aie été enroulée autour de la sangle à anneau
en D GEARWRENCH.
6. Après avoir lié la sangle à anneau en D à l’outil avec le ruban autoadhésif, tester la liaison avant d’utiliser l’outil.
(Facultatif, mais non nécessaire) Un manchon thermorétrécissable GEARWRENCH peut être ajouté pour prolonger
la vie utile du point de liaison et fournir une protection supplémentaire aux outils utilisés dans des
environnements rigoureux ou entrant en contact avec des matières abrasives. Le manchon thermorétrécissable
GEARWRENCH est vendu séparément.

1. Mida el diámetro de la herramienta para agregar la punta de amarre.
