sehr geehrte Kundin,
wir danken Ihnen für den Kauf dieses Qualitätsproduktes von GENIE. Bitte lesen Sie diese
Anleitung zunächst vor Inbetriebnahme sorgfältig durch.
Beachten Sie insbesondere die folgenden Vorsichtshinweise. Bitte bewahren Sie diese Anleitung
für eine spätere Einsichtnahme auf, bei einer Weitergabe des Artikels bitte die Anleitung mitgeben.
Bei Fragen zum Gerät oder Beanstandungen finden Sie bitte unsere Service-Informationen am
Schluss dieser Anleitung.
Wichtige Hinweise
1. Stellen Sie den Spitzer auf einen festen Untergrund, damit er einen sicheren Stand hat und
nicht durch Herunterfallen zerstört werden kann.
2. Benutzen Sie das Gerät nicht in der Nähe von Wasser oder sonstigen Flüssigkeiten.
Vermeiden Sie den Kontakt zu jeglicher Flüssigkeit. Sollte das Gerät dennoch feucht oder
nass werden, sollte es umgehend trocken gewischt werden.
3. Vermeiden Sie den Kontakt mit übermäßigem Schmutz und Staub ebenso wie harte Stöße.
4. Stellen Sie den Spitzer möglichst nicht in der Nähe von Heizgeräten oder sonstigen
Geräten, die Hitze produzieren, auf.
5. Sofern das Gerät in irgendeiner Weise beschädigt wurde oder nicht mehr ordnungsgemäß
funktioniert, ist qualifiziertes Servicepersonal gefordert. Wir verweisen an dieser Stelle auf
unsere Garantiebestimmungen und Service-Informationen am Ende dieser
Betriebsanleitung.

Bleistifte spitzen:
1. Stecken Sie das Stromkabel in den Stiftanspitzer und anschließend den Stecker in die
Steckdose.
2. Stellen Sie mithilfe des Einstellrades die gewünschte Schärfe der Spitze ein.
3. Stecken Sie den Stift in die Stift-Öffnung und drücken Sie ihn leicht nach unten. Lassen Sie
den Stift erst los, wenn der Vorgang beendet ist.
4. Ziehen Sie den Stift heraus, nachdem das Gerät automatisch angehalten hat.
5. Wenn die Stiftspitze im Gerät abgebrochen ist, stellen Sie bitte das Einstellrad für die
Stiftspitze auf die höchste Stufe, um sie zu lösen.
Drücken Sie leicht nach unten, um den Spitzvorgang
durchzuführen.
Anschlussstelle für das Stromkabel
Achtung:
 Spitzen Sie ausschließlich Standardbleistifte mit einem Durchmesser von 7 – 11mm.
 Um die Maschine nicht zu überlasten darf der Dauerbetrieb eine Betriebszeit von 3 Minuten
nicht überschreiten. Anschließend muss das Gerät für mindestens 15 Minuten abkühlen.
 Sollte die Geschwindigkeit der Fräse signifikant nachlassen, vermindern Sie den Druck auf
den Bleistift.
Ausleeren des Auffangbehälters:
1. Trennen Sie das Gerät von der Stromversorgung, bevor Sie den Auffangbehälter entleeren.
2. Drehen Sie den Deckel entgegen dem Uhrzeigersinn, um ihn zu öffnen.
3. Leeren Sie den Behälter aus und bringen den Deckel anschließend wieder in die richtige
Position.

Achtung:
Tauchen Sie das Gerät nicht in Wasser!
Verwenden Sie keine aggressiven Reinigungs- oder Lösungsmittel wie Alkohol oder
Benzin. Reinigen Sie den Spitzer mit einem weichen, feuchten Tuch.
Fassen Sie niemals mit den Fingern in die Bleistiftöffnung oder das Fräswerk.
- Sie sollten den Auffangbehälter leeren, wenn er etwa halbvoll ist.
- Versuchen Sie nicht Bleistifte zu spitzen, wenn der Auffangbehälter nicht korrekt aufgesetzt ist.
- Sollte der Auffangbehälter einmal brechen, müssen Sie das ganze Gerät entsorgen.

OPERATING MANUAL
INTRODUCTION
Congratulations on your purchase of the GENIE battery operated pencil sharpener. This is a
precision instrument designed specifically to provide reliability, durability, and outstanding
performance.
In order to ensure the scale continues to deliver peak performance, please read these operation
instructions carefully and thoroughly prior to initial usage.
IMPORTANT
1. Place the pencil sharpener on an even surface for a secure stand.
2. The manufacturer does not warrant this unit to be waterproof. Do not expose this product to
rain or moisture.
3. Avoid contact with too much dirt and dust as well as impacts.
4. Do not use the sharpener under sun or keep it away from heating appliances such as oven,
stove, etc.
5. If any damage occurs to the sharpener or it may not work properly, contact our service
department. Please see our warranty and service information at the end of this manual

Sharpening Pencils:
1. Connect the adaptor to the sharpener then connect the adaptor to the standard outlet.
2. Adjust the tip sharpness switch to the required figure.
3. Insert the pencil and press down slightly, please don’t release your hand before finish.
4. Take the pencil out when the machine stop automatically.
5. When the pencil tip broken inside please adjust the tip sharpness switch to the biggest
position to release it.

Caution:
 Use only standard wooden pencils (7 - 11mm diameter).
 To protect the machine well, we suggest the user to operate it in this way: working is not
recommended to exceed 3 minutes, then the machine should rest 15 minutes at least.
Otherwise, will damage the cutter or shorten the product life
 If the sharpener slows down significantly or stops while sharpening, try applying less
pressure.
Emptying the Pencil Shaving:
1. Remove the receptacle from the pencil sharpener (this will also disable sharpener).
2. Dispose of the shavings.
3. Slide the shaving receptacle cover back into the sharpener.

Caution:
DO NOT immerse main unit in water while cleaning.
DO NOT use any solvents such as alcohol, benzene or thinner to clean the unit.
Never insert hand or finger into pencil or receptacle tray opening.
- Always empty the pencil shavings when the receptacle is approximately half full.
- When the receptacle is removed, do not touch the cutter.
- Do not attempt to sharpen pencils while the receptacle cover is open.
- If the receptacle breaks, dispose of the entire unit.
HANDLING THE GUARANTEE
Thank you very much for purchasing this GENIE product. Please note the following advice
whenever this machine does not function faultlessly, contrary to expectations.
The guarantee period amounts to 24 months from the date of purchase, provided that the machine
has been used appropriately. Please keep the proof-of-purchase voucher and original packaging in
a safe place. The warranty is only valid for defects in materials or fabrication. However, it is invalid
for damage that has occurred to breakable parts, e.g., on the casing. Machines that have been
damaged by inappropriate use externally, are excluded from being exchanged. A guarantee will
expire whenever any repairs have been carried out without the express consent of our customer
service department.
Repairs under the guarantee can only be made when the proof-of-purchase voucher is enclosed
with the defective machine – please notify us about the return by telephone! Only returns
bearing the appropriate return number can be accepted. Please give your name, address, post
code, town and telephone number with the dialing code. Please state the reason for your complaint

Afin de continuer à assurer une performance optimale, veuillez lire attentivement ces instructions
d’utilisation en entier avant la première utilisation de l’appareil.
Veuillez respecter tout particulièrement les indications de sécurité suivantes. Nous vous prions de
conserver ce mode d’emploi en cas de besoin de vérification ultérieure et de transmettre le mode

1. Placez le taille-crayon sur une surface plane pour une bonne stabilité.

Mode d’emploi
1. Branchez l’adaptateur au taille-crayon, puis connectez l’adaptateur au secteur.
2. Réglez le taille-crayon sur la valeur requise.
3. Insérez le crayon et appuyez légèrement. Ne le relâchez pas avant la fin de la procédure.
4. Enlevez le crayon que lorsque l’appareil s’arrête automatiquement.
5. Si la pointe du crayon s’est cassée à l’intérieur, réglez le commutateur pour tailler le crayon
à la valeur la plus haute pour l’évacuer de l’appareil.

Attention:
 N’utilisez que des crayons standards en bois (7 - 11mm de diamètre).
 Afin de bien protéger la machine, nous vous suggérons de vous en servir de la façon
suivante : il est recommandé de ne pas la faire fonctionner plus de 3 minutes, la machine
devrait ensuite être mise au repos au moins 15 minutes. Dans le cas contraire, le couteau
sera endommagé ou la durée de vie du produit raccourcie.
 Si le taille-crayon ralentit fortement ou s’arrête en cours d’aiguisage, essayez d’appuyer
moins fort.
Vider le réservoir d’épluchures
1. Coupez l’alimentation électrique avant de vider le réservoir.
2. Pour l’ouvrir, tournez le couvercle dans le sens antihoraire.
3. Videz les épluchures et refermez le couvercle en le tournant dans le sens horaire.

Caution:
NE PAS immerger l’appareil dans l’eau lors du nettoyage.
NE PAS utiliser de solvants tels que alcool, benzène ou diluant pour nettoyer l’appareil.
N’insérez jamais votre main ou votre doigt dans l’ouverture du taille-crayon ou du
réceptacle à pelures.
- Videz toujours les pelures du crayon quand le réceptacle est rempli à moitié environ.
- Quand le réceptacle est enlevé, ne touchez pas le couteau.
- N’essayez pas de tailler un crayon quand le réceptacle est ouvert.
- Si le réceptacle casse, jetez l’appareil.

IT ISTRUZIONI PER L'USO
Introduzione
Complimenti per aver acquistato il temperamatite a batterie GENIE. Si tratta di uno strumento di
precisione, progettato per fornire affidabilità, durata e prestazioni eccellenti.
Al fine di ottenere le migliori prestazioni in modo durevole, si prega di leggere attentamente e
accuratamente queste istruzioni prima dell'utilizzo.
Importante
1. Collocare il temperamatite su una superficie piana per ottenere un posizionamento sicuro.
2. Il produttore non garantisce l'impermeabilità di questo apparecchio. Non esporre il prodotto
a pioggia o umidità.
3. Proteggere da polvere e sporcizia, ed evitare gli urti.
4. Non utilizzare il temperamatite al sole e tenerlo lontano da fonti di calore quali forni, piani
cottura ecc.
5. In caso di guasto o di cattivo funzionamento del temperamatite, contattare il nostro servizio

Istruzioni per l‘uso
1. Collegare l’adattatore al temperamatite quindi collegare l’adattatore alla presa.
2. Regolare l’interruttore della finezza della punta secondo il grado richiesto.
3. Inserire la matita e premere leggermente. Non staccare la mano fino al completamento
dell’operazione.
4. Estrarre la matita quando l’attrezzo si ferma automaticamente.
5. In caso di rottura della punta all’interno posizionare l’interruttore sulla punta più grossa.

Attenzione:
 Utilizzare solo matite di legno standard (diametro 7 - 11mm).
 Per salvaguardare lo strumento, si suggerisce all'utente di agire in questo modo: è
consigliabile non superare i 3 minuti di utilizzo continuo; trascorso questo tempo, lasciar
riposare l'apparecchio per almeno 15 minuti. In caso contrario, si potrebbe danneggiare la
taglierina o abbreviare la durata del prodotto.
 Se durante l'affilatura il temperamatite rallenta in modo significativo o si arresta, provare a
diminuire la pressione.
Pulizia del contenitore residui:
1. Disinserire la corrente prima di svuotare il contenitore dei residui.
2. Per aprire il coperchio ruotarlo in senso antiorario.
3. Eliminare i residui e richiudere il coperchio nella posizione corretta.

Attenzione:
NON immergere l'unità principale nell'acqua durante la pulizia.
NON utilizzare solventi come alcol, benzene o diluente per pulire l'apparecchio.
NON inserire la mano o le dita nel foro per le matite o nell'apertura del serbatoio trucioli.
- Svuotare sempre il serbatoio dai trucioli di matita quando risulta pieno a metà.
- Dopo aver rimosso il serbatoio, non toccare la taglierina.
- Non provare a temperare matite quando il coperchio del serbatoio è aperto.
- Se il serbatoio si rompe, smaltire l'intera unità.

Para garantizar que el afilalápices siga ofreciendo un rendimiento máximo, lea atentamente y por

Instrucciones de uso
Conecte el adaptador al sacapuntas, después conecte el adaptador a la salida estándar.
Ajuste el interruptor de afilado a la figura deseada.
Inserte el lápiz y presiónelo con suavidad. No suelte la mano antes de acabar.
Saque el lápiz, la máquina parará automáticamente.
Si se rompe la punta del lápiz dentro ponga la precisión de la cuchilla en el modo más ancho para
expulsarla.

Návod k obsluze

provozu si nejprve pozorně přečtěte tento návod.
Dodržujte především následující bezpečnostní upozornění. Uchovejte si návod pro pozdější
nahlédnutí. Při předávání výrobku dál s ním nezapomeňte předat návod. Při otázkách ohledně
výrobku nebo reklamací si přečtěte informace týkající se servisu na konci tohoto návodu.
Důležitá upozornění
1. Ořezávátko postavte na pevný podklad, aby byla zajištěna jeho stabilita a nemohlo se
rozbít pádem.
2. Nepoužívejte jej v blízkosti vody nebo jiných kapalin. Vyvarujte se kontaktu s kapalinami.
Pokud výrobek navlhne nebo se namočí, okamžitě jej otřete dosucha.
3. Zamezte kontaktu s prachem, nadměrnému znečištění i tvrdým nárazům.
4. Neumisťujte ořezávátko do blízkosti topení nebo jiných přístrojů produkujících vysoké
teploty.
5. Pokud byl výrobek nějakým způsobem poškozen nebo již nefunguje správně, je nutné

Ořezávání tužek:
1. Zastrčte napájecí kabel do ořezávátka a potom zástrčku do síťové zásuvky.
2. Na nastavovacím kolečku nastavte požadované ostří špičky.
3. Zastrčte tužku do příslušného otvoru a lehce ji tlačte dolů. Tužku pusťte, až když je proces
ukončen.
4. Tužku vytáhněte potom, co přístroj automaticky ukončil ořezávání.
5. Pokud se tužka v přístroji ulomila, nastavte prosím seřizovací kolečko na maximální stupeň,
aby se zbytek uvolnil.
Aby proběhlo ořezávání, tlačte lehce dolů.
Přípoj pro napájecí kabel
Pozor:
 Ořezávejte výhradně standardní tužky o průměru 7 – 11 mm.
 Aby se přístroj nepřetěžoval, nesmí být doba trvalého chodu delší než 3 minuty. Potom
musí následovat minimálně 15 minut ochlazování přístroje.
 Pokud rychlost frézy významně polevuje, snižte tlak na tužku.
Vyprázdnění záchytné nádoby:
1. Dříve než budete záchytnou nádobu vyprazdňovat, oddělte přístroj od sítě.
2. Abyste víko otevřeli, otočte s ním proti směru pohybu hodinových ručiček.
3. Vyprázdněte nádobu a víko vraťte opět do správné polohy.

Pozor:
Nikdy nepotápějte přístroj do vody!
Nepoužívejte žádné agresivní čistící látky nebo ředidla, jako jsou alkohol nebo benzín.
Ořezávátko čistěte měkkým vlhkým hadrem.
Nikdy nestrkejte prsty do otvoru pro tužku nebo do frézovacího zařízení.
- Záchytnou nádobu byste měli vyprazdňovat, když je asi napůl plná.
- Nezkoušejte ořezávat tužky, když není záchytná nádoba správně nasazena.
- Pokud by se záchytná nádoba rozbila, musíte zlikvidovat celý přístroj.
