MASK LIGHT AMPLIFIED MIC
QUICK REFERENCE GUIDE

INSTALLATION
Follow these steps to install the Mask Light Amplied Mic.
For removal, reverse the order of operations.
Align the external assembly
such that the screws match
with the two outer holes
on mask.
NOTE: Do not remove
rubber cover.

Using two ngers to hold the
screws in place push the
external assembly into
the mask.

Push through until the screws
protrude from inside the mask
making sure to keep pressure
on the screws into step 4.

Orient the internal assembly
such that it bends over the top
and the switch will be at the
bottom of the mask cavity when
installed. Align the internal
assembly pins to match the
inner holes in the mask.

Press the internal assembly
into place until the push pins
snap together.

Tighten the Phillips screws
until the external and internal
assemblies are securely in
place (Torque: 15in-oz).

Rotate rubber cover and
press t. Connect microphone
downlead.
Test the microphone using
the Gentex Oxygen Mask,
Regulator, Helmet, and
Communications Test
Set or other microphone
test equipment

Follow these steps to operate the Mask Light Amplied Mic.
POWER ON/OFF
Use tongue switch to toggle the LED on and off.
LED BRIGHTNESS
Press and hold the tongue switch to cycle through the three (3) brightness
settings low, medium and high.

INSPECTION & MAINTENANCE
This section contains instructions for organizational inspection and
maintenance of the Mask Light Amplied Mic.
Perform the inspections listed in Table 1 each time the Mask Light Amplied
Microphone requires inspection
To inspect the operation of the
microphone, follow the instructions for the
communication test set available for 28 VDC
Electret Amplied microphones
To inspect the operation of the light, connect
the oxygen mask communications cable
to an appropriate communications test set
congured for 28 Volt operation. Actuate the
lip/tongue lever switch to ensure proper on/
off function.

TROUBLESHOOTING
This section contains the most common problems that can occur with the
Mask Light Amplied Mic along with probable causes of malfunction and
recommended corrective actions.
