WARNING!
Expansion cardscontainverydelicateIntegrated Circuit(IC)chips.Toprotectthemagainst
damage fromstaticelectricity,you shouldfollowsomeprecautionswheneveryou workon your
computer.
1.Turnoffyourcomputerand unplug powersupply.
2.Useagrounded wriststrap beforehandling computercomponents.Ifyou do nothaveone,touch
bothofyourhandstoasafelygrounded objectortoametalobject, suchasthe powersupply
case.
3.Placecomponentson agrounded antistaticpad oron the bag thatcamewiththe components
wheneverthe componentsareseparated fromthe system.
The cardcontainssensitiveelectriccomponents,whichcan be easilydamaged bystatic
electricity,sothe cardshouldbe leftinitsoriginalpacking until itisinstalled.
Unpacking and installation shouldbe done on agrounded anti-staticmat. The operatorshouldbe
wearing an anti-staticwristband,grounded atthe samepointasthe anti-staticmat.
Inspectthe cardcarton forobviousdamage.Shipping and handling maycausedamage toyour
card.Besurethereareno shipping and handling damageson the cardbeforeproceeding.

Installing YourGraphics card.
Nowthatyou haveprepared yourcomputer,you arereadytoinstall yourgraphics acceleratorcard.
To install yourgraphics acceleratorcard:
1.Poweroff the computerand monitor,then
disconnectthedisplaycablefromthe backofyour
computer.
2.Removethecomputercover.Ifnecessary,consult
yourcomputer'smanualforhelpinremoving the
cover.
3.Removeanyexisting graphics cardfromyour
computer.
Or,ifyourcomputerhasanyon-boardgraphics
capability,you mayneed todisableiton the
motherboard.Formoreinformation,see you
computerdocumentation.

4.Locatethe AGPslot. If necessary,remove
the metalcoverfromthisslot; then align your
graphics cardwiththeAGPslot, and press it
infirmlyuntil the cardisfullyeated.

The installation ofWin98/98SE /WinME/WinXP driversisverysimple.
When you insertthe driverCD intoyourCD-ROMdrive,you can see the AUTORUN
window(ifitdoesnotshowup,run "D:\setup.exe").Then you can followguidestosetup
yourGV-R7032T/GV-R7064Tdriver(Pleasefollowthe subsection 3.1.3"Step ByStep
Installation"toinstall the driverforyourGV-R7032T/GV-R7064Tgraphics accelerator.
3.1.1.Operating systemrequirement
lIf yourOSisMicrosoft Windows,when loading the GV-R7032T/GV-R7064Tdriversfor
the system,pleasemakesureyoursystem(Win98/98SE orWinME/Win2000 /Win
XP)hasinstalled DirectXorlater.
lIf you install the GV-R7032T/GV-R7064Tdriversforthe mainboard,which
consistofSIS,ALIorVIAchipsets,pleaseinstall the appropriateDriverprogramfor
thatmainboard.OrpleasecontactyourmotherboardnearestdealerforM/BDiver.

Windows®MEorWindows®XP,you mustinstall DirectX(orlaterversion)first.
DirectX9.0isthe up-to-dateruntimelibraryforall Windowsoperating system.Thisversion is
capableofupdating yourDirectXofyouroperating systemtowhatisrequired foryourgraphics
acceleratorhardwaretorun toitsbestperformance.
Forexample,ifyourgraphics acceleratorcan supportDirectX8.1,updating withDirectX9.0can
upgrade youroperating systemtothe fullsetofDirectX8.1.

AfterGV-R7032T/GV-R7064Tisinserted intoyourcomputeratthe firsttime,the windows
will automaticallydetectanewhardwareinthe systemand pop outa"NewHardware
Found"message.Pleaseselect"Donotinstall adriver"and press OK.
Step2:UpdateDevice DriverWizard:StandardPCIGraphics Adapter(VGA)
Step3:UpdateDevice DriverWizard:Finish
Atthistime,systemwill ask foryourWindowsCD inordertocompletethe VGAdriver
installation.
If you don'thavethe CD,you can press C:\Windows\Systemdirectory.
Step4:SystemSetting Change
1.Click "Next"icon.
2.Click "Finish"icon.
MDon'tclick "Cancel",because
the systemwill hang ifyou press it.

Afterthe systemhasfinished loading,insertthe GV-R7032T/GV-R7064TdriverCD disk
intoyourCD-ROM,and then you can see the AUTORUN window.If itdoesnotshowup,

nShowATIicon on taskbaraddsorremovesthe ATIicon fromthe taskbar.
nDisablequick resolution featureisaccessiblebyleft-clicking the ATIicon inthe taskbar.
nReduce DVIfrequency on high-resolution displays enablesordisablestoreducethe DVI
frequency when using high-resolution.
