and thus features the CE marking.
This equipment also complies with the applicable requirements of the Measuring Instruments Directive,
2004/22/EC until 04/19/2016 and 2014/32/EU from 04/20/2016, according to the Evaluation Certificate.
Note
This equipment is generally used in Petrol Stations, so it has been evaluated together the dispenser whose it
is a part and it is suitable to be used when properly installed and maintained following the provisions of this
manual.
Please observe that the pictures in this manual show a general version of crind and fuel dispenser.
Details in the delivered model may differ.

WARNING
THE UNIT BEING THE SUBJECT-MATTER OF THIS MANUAL SHALL BE
INSTALLED AND COMMISSIONED BY TRAINED PERSONNEL
Trained personnel means people with the appropriate technical education and
experience required to:
- carry out operations in areas accessible by technical assistance staff,
- be aware of the dangers involved in carrying out the operations, and be instructed
about the measures required to minimise those dangers.
This equipment contains batteries and/or non-rechargeable batteries. This indicates
that these batteries shall be replaced and disposed only by trained personnel
certificated by Gilbarco.
Disposal of the equipment involves the battery removal in accordance with the
provisions laid following the instructions supplied by trained personnel certificated
by Gilbarco.
NOTE
Gilbarco declines all responsibility for any damages to property and/or persons due
to incorrect installation of equipment, incorrect connections or changes made to the
equipment, as well as for damages due to connections with other devices not
described in this manual.
DISCLAIMER
The equipment installed and put into service following the instructions given in this
manual, will operate fully covering the characteristics described here.
Installation and put into service of the equipment in different way from the
instructions given in this manual, but that have followed the local laws, rules and
requirements for installations in Petrol Service Stations and have followed the
provisions about the safety disconnection devices given at chapter “Electrical
Installation” are generally allowed, but the performance may be affected.
DANGER
Before performing any electrical operation make sure that all devices have been
disconnected from the mains power.
Before performing any electrical installing/uninstalling operations, make sure that
also supply lines are isolated from mains by safety disconnection devices.
WARNING
The equipment shall be installed into an electrical system complying with the plant
engineering regulations in force and equipped at least with a 2-pole, 6A, C curve,
MCB differential for each supply line.
The electrical cables used for connections shall comply with the plant engineering
regulations in force, depending on the installation conditions (e.g. indoor or outdoor
underground, in cable duct, etc.) and they shall meet any functional characteristics
prescribed by Gilbarco.

1. DEFIN ITION
NC3L (NordicCard 3 Landscape) is a payment terminal designed for card payment able to read magnetic,
chip and contactless cards, it is mounted directly on fuel dispenser.

4 . 3 . P L A C E M E N T
The placement of NC3L is flexible and requires only little space, since all operative actions are carried out
from the front. Required space in front of the terminal is shown in chapter 3 picture.
NC3L it is mounted directly on fuel dispenser and is available with different version of reader/printer door to
fit on following dispensers:
•Gilbarco SK700 phase II
•Dresser Wayne Global Star 3/4 slope
•Dresser Wayne Global Star 3/4 square
•Dresser Wayne Global Star 5 slope
•Dresser Wayne Global Star 5 square

5. IN STA LLA TION INSTRU C TIONS
The installation shall be performed in accordance with security regulations for service stations, issued by
responsible authorities.
All the operations must be done after disconnecting all supply lines and following all suitable procedures to
operate in explosion hazardous areas. Check before installation that the intended location meets this
requirement.
Warning
Installation operations are allowed only when safety conditions
are put in place.
Disconnect all supply lines before starting the installation.
Terminals do not have a safety switch, but such shall be installed in the electrical power centre.
The terminal shall not be modified without written permission from Gilbarco, otherwise the manufacturer’s
product liability will be voided.
Interference is prevented by installing power and communications cables in separate cable ducts.
Remove scrap cables from cable manholes.
The shield of the communications cable is grounded in the master system and shall have an unbroken shield
connection through connection boxes to the terminal.
Warning
Please read “Power-on procedure for temperatures lower than
0°C”chapter before switching on the terminal.

5 . 1 . I N S T A LL A T I O N O F N C 3 L
1. Open the computer head doors, the computer head side and bottom panel, the airing panel and the two
side pumps panels. Remove also the cable pass through cover on the NC3L terminal.
2. Pull out all the cables from the inside of the dispenser column to let them pass around of the NC3L
terminal.

3. Mount the small size airing panel fastening the screws.
4. Fasten for half length the four M6 screws on the dispenser computer head thread. If there is not any
fixing thread available, fasten the screws with four M6 hexagonal nuts.

Warning
Risk of tipping over. High centre of gravity. Some lifts may
require two persons.
5. Insert the four screws head in the keyhole shaped holes of NC3L terminal pushing it upward (1) and then
moving it toward the column (2).
6. Open the reader/printer doors (opening the keyhole cover and turning the key 90° clockwise.

Warning
Risk of crushing / pinch hazard.
Open the doors gently. Avoid placing fingers or hands between
the doors when they are moving.
7. Open the pinpad/display unit’s doors turning the key (situated inside the reader/printer unit left top) 90°
clockwise and pulling the safety lever.

8. Check that the terminal is lined up with the computer head, then tighten up the four screws inside the
NC3L terminal.
9. For each terminal side follow this sequence: Insert additional two M6 screws with grower washers and
nuts inside the computer head, then tighten up.
