removing an existing faucet or replacing any part of a
faucet. Open the faucet handle to relieve water pressure
and ensure that the water is completely shut off.

PREPARING THE MOUNTING HOLE
CAUTION: Always turn off the water supply before
removing an existing faucet or replacing any part of a
faucet. Open the faucet handle to relieve water pressure
and ensure that the water is completely shut off.
□Select one of the following places for the
faucet. Be sure it will t at against the
surface, and there is space to install the
tubes underneath the counter.
□Install the faucet into an existing
hole in the sink.
□A 1-1/4 in. diameter hole is required for the
faucet.
□Drill a new hole into the counter
top near the sink.
□Drill a new hole in the top of the
sink.
IMPORTANT: Drilling of holes into countertops made of
stone or solid surface materials, such as granite, marble,
corian or other plastic rosin products, or sinks made of
porcelain and stainless steel, should only be performed by
a qulied installer who is certiled for drilling such
materials. Drilling of these types of surfaces by any other
means may cause permanent, irreparable damage to the
countertop surface.

Installation
1 Preparing for installation
□Remove the quick connect adaptor (F), the nut
(E), the spacer (C), and the lock washer (D)
from the end of the faucet assembly (A) stud.
□If using this faucet with an existing drinking
water system, follow the manufacturer's
installation instructions for attaching the inlet
and outlet tubes.

□If a drain line is required to run through the
faucet's integral air gap for a reverse osmosis
(RO) system, connect the 1/4 in. drain line from
the unit to the smaller barb on the the bottom of
the faucet assembly (A). Connect the 3/8 in. line
from the faucet assembly (A) to the drain. This
drain line works by gravity. Make it as short and
straight as possible, with no dips or loops.

NOTE: If the ltration system used is a simple system
with one outlet and is not a reverse osmosis system
that requires a drain, then skip to step 3.

3 Installing the faucet assembly
□Place the faucet assembly (A) through the
selected hole in the sink or countertop.
4 Connecting the quick connect
adaptor and water line
□Thread the quick connect adaptor (F) onto the
end of the faucet assembly (A) stud, and tighten
securely using a wrench.
□Connect the 3/8 in. water line from the ltration
system by pushing the line into the quick
connect adaptor (F).
NOTE: The spacer (C) only needs to be used if installing
onto a sink or countertop less than 1/2 in. thick. Otherwise,
it can be discarded.
□On the underside of the sink or countertop,
slide the metal washer (B) between the
countertop and spacer (C) as shown in the
diagram below. Slide on the lock washer (D),
and tighten the nut (E) securely using a wrench.

□Pull down on the 3/8 in. line slightly to ensure
the quick connect tting has engaged.

CÓMO PREPARAR EL ORIFICIO DE MONTAJE
□Elige una de las siguientes ubicaciones para
el grifo. Asegúrate de que el grifo quede a ras
en una supercie plana, y que haya espacio
para instalar las tuberías debajo del mostrador.
□Instala el grifo en un oricio existente
en el bebedero.
□Se necesitará un oricio de 1-1/4"
(3,17 cm) para el grifo.
IMPORTANTE: En mostradores de piedra o de
materiales sólidos como el granito o el mármol, corian u
otra resina de plástico sólido, o bebederos de porcelana
o acero inoxidable, lo oricios deben ser taladrados por
un instalador certicado. De otro modo, taladrar en estas
supercies puede causar daños permanentes e irreparables
en la supercie del mostrador.
□Taladra otro oricio en el mostrador,
cerca del bebedero.
□Taladra otro oricio en la parte
superior del bebedero.

1 Cómo prepararse para la
instalación
□Retira el adaptador de conexión rápida (F), la
tuerca (E), el espaciador (C) y la arandela de
seguridad (D) del extremo del tubo de
ensamblaje del grifo (A).
□Si vas a usar este grifo con un sistema
de agua potable ya presente, sigue las
instrucciones de instalación del
fabricante. Instrucciones para colocar
las líneas de entrada y salida.

suministro

□Si se necesita que una línea de desagüe corra
a través de la abertura integral de aire del grifo
para usar un sistema de ltrado por osmosis
inversa(RO, en inglés), conecta la línea de
desagüe de 1/4 plg de la unidad a la espiga más
pequeña en la parte de abajo del ensamblaje del
grifo (A). Conecta la línea de 3/8 plg del
ensamblaje del grifo (A) al desagüe. Esta línea
de desagüe funciona por gravedad. Verica que
quede lo más corta y recta posible, sin
hundimientos ni giros.

NOTA: Si el sistema de ltrado que usas tiene una sola
salida y no es un sistema de ltrado por osmosis inversa
que requiere de un desagüe, puedes continuar al paso 3.

3 Cómo instalar el ensamblaje
del grifo
□Coloca el ensamblaje del grifo (A) en el oricio
seleccionado del bebedero o mostrador.
4 Cómo conectar el adaptador de
conexión rápida y la tubería de
agua
□Enrosca el adaptador de conexión rápida (F) en
el extremo del tubo del ensamblaje del grifo (A)
y aprieta bien con una llave.
□Introduce la tubería del agua, de 3/8", del
sistema de ltrado en el adaptador de conexión
rápida (F).
NOTA: El espaciador sólo es necesario si vas a instalar el
grifo en un bebedero o mostrador con un grosor menor a
1/2" (1,27 cm). De lo contrario, puedes desecharlo.
□En la cara inferior del bebedero o mostrador,
desliza la arandela de metal (B) entre el
mostrador y el espaciador (C) tal como se
muestra en el diagrama a continuación.
Desliza la arandela de seguridad (D) y aprieta
bien la tuerca (E) con una llave.
